You Workin’ is a site-specific series that draws on the personal and collective histories of two disparate places.
The phrase refers to a familiar statement from when I lived in inner-city Brisbane, my wife was often asked, as she was walking home if she “was working tonight darlin’?” The question references that time spent in Brisbane, as well the Brooklyn Bridge, a historic location for soliciting prostitution.
The images of iconic American symbols such as the Statue of Liberty and the bald eagle, are re-contextualized by referring to contemporary events in the United States of America, where the Trump presidency threatens the historical legitimacy and legacy of western democracies, including our own.
Contribution
Recently, I have spent several months in New York on residencies and educational travel, and I have become invested in the community and cultural life of the United States. The destabilization and potential criminality of the current administration raises questions that were never previously envisioned.
Significance
Photoville is an internationally recognised photography festival that runs over two weekends in Brooklyn Bridge Park, New York, USA. The images displayed for the festival were consequently acquired by the Museum of Brisbane. The installation was supported by a grant from Arts Queensland.No Full Tex

No full textThis chapter investigates a variety of water quality assessment tools for reservoirs with balanced/unbalanced monitoring designs and focuses on providing informative water quality assessments to ensure decision-makers are able to make risk-informed management decisions about reservoir health. In particular, two water quality assessment methods are described: non-compliance (probability of the number of times the indicator exceeds the recommended guideline) and amplitude (degree of departure from the guideline). Strengths and weaknesses of current and alternative water quality methods will be discussed. The proposed methodology is particularly applicable to unbalanced designs with/without missing values and reflects the general conditions and is not swayed too heavily by the occasional extreme value (very high or very low quality). To investigate the issues in greater detail, we use as a case study, a reservoir within South-East Queensland (SEQ), Australia. The purpose here is to obtain an annual score that reflected the overall water quality, temporally, spatially and across water quality indicators for each reservoir

Stevens published the first issue of You Alls Doins. Stevens’ brother Ed came up with the unique name for the paper. From the beginning Doins was a Democratic newspaper and switched its publication day from Thursday to Friday in support of their chosen party. In less than seven months, the circulation reached over a thousand subscribers probably due to its unusual name and content. No full textOffshore wind is a relatively new industry and it is generally more expensive to generate electricity than many alternative renewable sources. Operation & Maintenance (O&M) makes up a significant part of the overall cost of running Offshore Wind Turbines (OWT). Since the O&M associated responsibility is shared among turbine manufacturers, wind farm operators and the offshore transmission owners, this has inevitably led to lack of information, duplication of effort and less efficiency. Big data analytics is one great technique that will drive future growth. In this paper, an integrated operational system of offshore wind farm is proposed deploying big data analytics. Firstly, the current state of the O&M of offshore wind farm and the big data analytics are introduced. Afterwards, a predictive maintenance model and a maintenance implementation model are proposed, and an integrated operational system is developed incorporating those two models in order to optimize maintenance planning and implementation.
