No full textNous poursuivons notre cycle de parutions sur l'Allemagne, dans le cadre du 25e anniversaire de la chute du mur de Berlin, avec un texte sur la révolution allemande de novembre 1918. Cette révolution est généralement considérée comme une phase décisive de la séquence d'événements révolutionnaires ouverte en 1917, et ainsi, dans l'histoire politique du dernier siècle. Richard Müller, l'un de ses dirigeants, est pourtant presque inconnu aujourd'hui. C'est l'histoire de ce syndicaliste berlinois de la métallurgie que nous livre Ralf Hoffrogge dans son ouvrage récemment traduit de l'allemand à l'anglais, et dont voici l'introduction. La biographie de Müller, leader des « commissaires de la Révolution » (Revolutionäre Obleute), permet à l'auteur de donner une place centrale aux grèves de masse auto-organisées en conseils, plutôt qu'aux partis politiques, dans les événements de 1918-1919
