The works of Mykola Lysenko in Galina Lewicka’s performing and journalistic activity
No full textThe article analyses the achievements of Galina Lewicka (1901–1949) in the fields of piano performance and journalism. She promoted the artistic output of Mykola Lysenko (1842–1912) – a Ukrainian composer, teacher, pianist, conductor and folklorist. As one of the greatest Galician pianists, Lewicka took part in a series of concerts held in the years 1930–1940 to honour Lysenko, during which she performed his First rhapsody – a remarkably difficult piece created on the basis of folk dumas. In 1937, her interpretation of this work performed in Lviv was enthusiastically received by several critics. She wrote about the experience of performing the piece in the article Lysenko’s “First rhapsody.” Lewicka also performed other works written by the composer, including vocal-instrumental pieces played with the famous singer Michaił Gołyński. The pianist is also the author of a book for young people entitled Mykola Lysenko, which she published under the pseudonym of Oksana Piatygorskaya for the 100th anniversary of Lysenko’s birth, which was held in Lviv in 1942, and a review of a concert that took place in an opera theatre as part of the event. Lewicka’s promoting activity is an expression of her sincere respect for Mykola Lysenko – the founder of the Ukrainian school of composition, an activist and a patriot. The pianist’s achievements in performing drew the attention of numerous authors: Oleg Krysztalski, Tetiana Worobkewycz, Natalia Kaszkadamowa, Oksana Ditczuk and others. None of them, however, paid attention to her accomplishments in the field of promoting Lysenko’s activity and works ject. The aim of this article is, therefore, to present Lewicka’s achievements in the field of perform- ing Lysenko’s pieces and to determine the degree to which she contributed to popularizing the knowledge of the composer in Galicia.W artykule przeprowadzono analizę osiągnięć z zakresu wykonawstwa fortepianowego i działalności publicystycznej Galiny Lewickiej (1901–1949), która propagowała dorobek artystyczny Mykoły Łysenki (1842–1912) – ukraińskiego kompozytora, pedagoga, pianisty, dyrygenta i folklorysty. G. Lewicka – jako jedna z najwybitniejszych pianistek galicyjskich – w latach 1930–1940 brała udział w koncertach ku czci M. Łysenki, na których wykonywała jego Pierwszą rapsodię – utwór niezwykle trudny, stworzony w oparciu o stylizację ludowych dum. W 1937 roku jej interpretacja tego dzieła we Lwowie zdobyła entuzjastyczną ocenę kilku krytyków. Doświadczenie, które było jej udziałem w związku z wykonaniem utworu, opisała w artykule „Pierwsza rapsodia” Łysenki. G. Lewicka wykonywała też inne utwory kompozytora, między innymi wokalno-instrumentalne, wspólnie ze znanym wokalistą Mychajłem książki popularnonaukowej dla młodzieży pt. Mykoła Łysenko, którą opublikowała pod pseudonimem Oksana Piatygorskaya . Napisała ponadto artykuł o wystawie jubileuszowej z okazji 100. rocznicy urodzin M. Łysenki, obchodzonej we Lwowie w roku 1942, oraz recenzję koncertu, który odbył się w teatrze operowym z tejże okazji. Działalność propagatorska Lewickiej jest wyrazem szczerego szacunku dla Mykoły Łysenki – założyciela ukraińskiej szkoły kompozytorskiej oraz aktywnego działacza i patrioty. Osiągnięciami wykonawczymi pianistki interesowali się liczni autorzy: Oleg Krysztalski, Tetiana Worobkewycz, Natalia Kaszkadamowa, Oksana Ditczuk i inni.
Nie zwrócono jednakże uwagi na jej dorobek z zakresu popularyzowania działalności i twórczości M. Łysenki . Stąd wypływa potrzeba kompleksowego pogłębienia tego zagadnienia. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zatem wykazanie osiągnięć G. Lewickiej w zakresie wykonawstwa utworów fortepianowych M. Łysenki oraz określenie jej udziału w pogłębieniu galicyjskiej wiedzy na temat kompozytora

Unipotent automorphic sheaf for G₂, Franel numbers, and Thom-Boardman stratification
No full textDans cette thèse, d’une part, nous généralisons au cas équivariant un résultat de J. Denef et F. Loeser sur les sommes trigonométriques sur un tore ; d’autre part, nous étudions la stratification de Thom-Boardman associée à la multiplication des sections globales des fibrés en droites sur une courbe. Nous montrons une inégalité subtile sur les dimensions de ces strates. Notre motivation vient du programme de Langlands géométrique. En s’appuyant sur les travaux de W. T. Gan, N. Gurevich, D. Jiang et de S. Lysenko, nous proposons, pour le groupe réductif G de type G2, une construction conjecturale du faisceau automorphe dont le paramètre d’Arthur est unipotent et sous-régulier. En utilisant nos deux résultats ci-dessus, nous déterminons les rangs génériques de toutes les composantes isotypiques d’un faisceau S₃-équivariant qui apparaît dans notre conjecture, ce S₃ étant le centralisateur du SL2 sous-régulier dans le groupe dual de Langlands de G.In this thesis, on the one hand, we generalise to the equivariant case a result of J. Denef and F. Loeser about trigonometric sums on tori ; on the other hand, we study the Thom-Boardman stratification associated to the multiplication of global sections of line bundles on a curve. We prove a subtle inequaliity about the dimensions of these strata. Our motivation comes from the geometric Langlands program. Based on works of W. T. Gan, N. Gurevich, D. Jiang and S. Lysenko, we propose, for the reductive group G of type G2, a conjectural construction of the automorphic sheaf whose Arthur parameter is unipotent and sub-regular. Using our two results above, we determine the generic ranks of all isotypic components of an S3-equivaraint sheaf which appears in our conjecture, this S3 being the centraliser of the sub-regular SL2 inside the Langlands dual group of G

No full textThe author shares his reflections on state of art in housing and urban planning, deficiencies, expectations and possibilities in the Sahel region of Africa. He notices, that the housing problem in Africa is one of the challenges, which should be solved in order to recover life dignity of African people and secure their rights to traditional family life in acceptable conditions. The paper describes the studies on the typical dispersed urban structures and the need to foster this type of settlement structure and proposals of introduction of new on light steel frame housing system in the area of Sahel, combining the traditional way of building houses with modern technology. The particularly analysed case, is the housing problem in the Republic of Chad. The author presents the basic discussion on this topic and his architectural proposals. Unfortunately, the gap between the needs and the financial feasibility of housing construction in this area, makes this project already at the starting point extremely difficult to be realized without external subventions.Problem mieszkaniowy w Afryce jest jednym z wyzwań, które należy rozwiązać, aby Afrykanie mogli odzyskać godność życiową i zabezpieczyć swoje prawa do tradycyjnego życia rodzinnego w akceptowalnych warunkach. W artykule opisano badania nad typowymi rozproszonymi strukturami miejskimi i potrzebą wspierania tego typu struktur osadniczych oraz propozycji wprowadzenia nowego systemu konstrukcji domów, opartym na lekkim szkielecie stalowym, łączącym tradycyjny sposób budowania domów z nowoczesną technologią. Przypadkiem szczególnie analizowanym jest problem mieszkaniowy w Republice Czadu. Autor przedstawia podstawową dyskusję na ten temat i swoje propozycje architektoniczne. Niestety luka między potrzebami mieszkaniowymi w Czadzie a finansową wykonalnością budownictwa mieszkaniowego w tym obszarze sprawia, że projekt ten, już w punkcie wyjścia, jest niezwykle trudny do realizacji bez uzyskania zewnętrznych dotacji

Of great importance here is the fact that the author used in this work new archives from the Archives of German Liberalism in Gummersbach.
