Production of compost and its economic importance
Composting has a great importance in economic terms, because it affects a lot and directly into increased productivity culture for which it is used.Modern, methodical composting is a multi-step, closely monitored process with measured inputs of water, air, and carbon- and nitrogen-rich materials. The decomposition process is aided by shredding the plant matter, adding water and ensuring proper aeration by regularly turning the mixture. Worms and fungi further break up the material. Bacteria requiring oxygen to function (aerobic bacteria) and fungi manage the chemical process by converting the inputs into heat, carbon dioxide and ammonium. The ammonium (NH4) is the form of nitrogen used by plants. When available ammonium is not used by plants it is further converted by bacteria into nitrates (NO3) through the process of nitrification.Kosova market have not compost production, we fertilizer imported from Serbia, and on the basis of this research conclude that Kosova about 70% of arable land will be needed for this product. While in terms of horticulture (for flowers) 100% this production is imported from the Netherlands. The paper deals with the construction of the collection point with all the advanced technological tools for the production of manure or compost in the space of 0,5 ha. Where will invest 450,000.00 € and will be produced compost from 15.000 to 30.000 t compost/year and earned about 3,000,000.00 € and will fertlized 1000 ha of agricultural land
A Research on the Transformation of Urban Form And Dynamics of Xiguan Area, Guangzhou
This paper mainly uses the method of Urban Morphology to study the transformation process of urban form of Xiguan historical district in Guangzhou, P.R.China. The paper tries to analyze the transformation process through studying the background of politics, economy, society, culture and natural condition of Xiguan area. It further discusses the structural feature and transformation rule, as well as analyzes the hidden dynamics. Considering time as the main factor, the paper mainly focuses on two aspects—form elements and dynamics, trying to study the relation between each other. The paper aims at concluding the overall transformation feature and rule of Xiguan area and bringing up some perspectives on the protection and continuity of traditional urban fabric and culture in the process of urban renewal. The body of this paper is organized through tracing the transformation of urban form in different periods of time. First, to study the foundation of form transformation through demonstrating the construction background of Xiguan area before Qing Dynasty; Second, to discuss separately the form feature of Qing Dynasty, the period of the Republic of China and the period after the foundation of New China. The form feature is mainly analyzed in several aspects as the street feature, property plot, building type, land use and street space; Finally, to summarize the transformation rule on the basis of overall analysis of transformation feature of Xiguan area, and then to conclude the main dynamics of form transformation, as well as to discuss the practical significance for the protection of Xiguan historical district and urban renewal.UrbanismArchitecture and The Built Environmen

The Development of Small and Medium Enterprises - Their Impact on the Growth of Employment in Kosovo
The development of small and medium enterprises (SME) at a satisfied level can be achieved only through the application of knowledge and best practices that are developed at private sector, considering as their main derivation - the creation of new work places. The purpose of this paper is that even in our theory and practice to be provided modern concepts regarding the management of small and medium enterprises and regarding the business decision making. Small and medium enterprises can be considered as engines for the creation of new working places, in other words, can be considered as incubators for innovation and entrepreneurship. But in many poor countries, small and medium enterprises are not considered as the main players in the local ecosystem, which makes many of them operating outside the formal legal system and which phenomena results in the increase of informality and in the decrease of productivity. In addition, the condition becomes harder as they lack the funding and the long-term capital which on the other hand are the basis for the creation and function of companies. The development of SMEs is considered as the basic generator of economic growth. This development should be based on the advantages which should be further developed and on the obstacles and weaknesses, which, through strategies and means of economic policy, must be overcome and revitalized. Based on our studies, in the overall context of this work can be conducted the structuring of SMEs and the process of making business decisions in Kosovo. The focus of the analysis in this paper is the creation of friendly conditions for the development of small and medium enterprises towards employment policies and structural reforms, institutional market economy, generating of new work places. The necessity of these actions lays on the fact that in Kosovo exists a very large army of unemployed youth. The world today is undergoing through a global financial crisis which had started in the United States in 2008 and which has spread all around the globe. It can be said that this global financial crisis has been the longest that this world has recognized. For this reason, to the government of any country is added one more task, which is even more difficult, that through its policies to do the impossible in order to overcome this crisis and to send the respective country towards economic development, more specifically towards the development of the small and medium enterprise which in turn will have an impact on the decrease of unemployment. In addition, the purpose of this study would be to identify the current situation of small and medium enterprises, their structuring and their components in Kosovo.</jats:p
IV Congreso ISUF-H “Forma urbis y territorios metropolitanos: Metrópolis en recomposición: Prospectivas proyectuales en el siglo XXI”
Urban planning and urban design disciplines have been called to contribute for more sustainable communities. Approaching, describing, and measuring the urban metabolism calls therefore for the most appropriate tools to support the examination of the city from a sustainability point of view. Although prolific contributions have been advanced by the engineering disciplines, mainly in what regards the development of methods to quantify and measure the material flows that operate in the urban system, at the urban design sphere the study of the metabolism remains somehow obscure, delaying the necessary advances to guide the designing of the urban realm and of its necessary infrastructures to promote a sustainable city. This chapter summarises the research process promoted by the author of this manuscript, applied at Lisbon Metropolitan Areas, while promoting the study of the urban metabolism from a visualization perspective, for which the study of urban form proved to be fundamental. To do that, we examine the main contributions of the application of such visualization process, practiced in the past decade at Iscte - Lisbon University Institute, both in two specific financed research projects (MEMO and SPLACH) and at an academic domain, specifically at urban project studios of the Integrated Master of Architecture.info:eu-repo/semantics/acceptedVersio

Stages in the configuration of urban form in urban development planning: the emerging role of open spaces as sustainability mechanism. The case of Valladolid (Spain)
[EN] Along the last five decades and through three different stages, the urban development plans —general plans— of Valladolid, a medium-sized Spanish city, show an interesting evolution in the way of configuring the global urban form and controlling urban development that we can also find in other similar Spanish cities. In the sixties and seventies, plans proposed “autonomous” expansive schemes foreseeing a huge rate of urban growth, so they defined wide areas to be urbanised through new transport infrastructures and typical zoning mechanisms. In the eighties, after decay in urban and economic development and during the transition to democracy, the new local governments focused on the existing city and fostered a more controlled urban growth. However, plans continued to employ the same tools to manage future urban form —definition of transport infrastructures and sectors to be urbanised—, although they looked for more “controllable” forms, such as radio-concentric ones, aiming at a gradual and homogeneous implementation —compact city—. When real-estate market recovered in early nineties, this strategy revealed its weaknesses: fragmented urban fringe and tendency to a congestive model, reinforced when a new generation of expansive plans drove these schemes out of the limits they were conceived with. However, an alternative and more sustainable model had already emerged, as some new urban planning tools proposed a change of perspective: managing global urban form not through future urbanised spaces, but through open ones, generating an “empty” network able to give coherence to the whole urban structure in a metropolitan scale. The University of Valladolid has funded the atttendance of the author to the 24th ISUF Valencia 2017 through the grant programme ‘Movilidad Doctorandos UVa 2017’.Fernández-Maroto, M.
