Finite group with Hall coverings
In this paper we describe the groups admitting a covering with Hall subgroups. We also determine the
groups with a \pi-Hall subgroup, where \pi is the connected component of the prime graph, containing the prime 2
Investigationes on population dynamics and mortality of Phyllocnistis citrella in western Sicily (Italy)
Population dynamics and mortality of P. citrella, and its natural enemies with parasitism levels in two different citrus orchards, sprayed and unsprayed, were investigated. The effect of host density on percentage parasitism and mortality was calculated by regression analyses. In both sites, over the 3-years period from 2002 to 2004, P. citrella was detected during the summer months and it was not found during the first flush. Population levels were low, never exceeding 3.0/leaf. P. citrella began to increase from June in 2002-2003 and from July in 2004. The monthly percentage parasitism of P. citrella in sprayed orchard fluctuated from 0 to 19%, while in unsprayed from 0 to 30%. High mortality was found in both locations with maximum levels of 100%. No significant regression was found between CLM population and parasitism and mortality percentage. Small differences between results in two orchards were foun
C55-groups
We classify the C55-groups, i.e., finite groups in which the centralizer of every 5-element is a 5-group
Una nuova Sicilia?
Si analizzano gli elementi di novità registrati in occasione della tornata di elezioni regionali del 2012, e si ipotizzano le connessioni di queste novità con la crisi economica della regione
Before web-marketing: digital tour landscapes from relational users
Online visibility of a cultural site can be considered a
strong indicator of the institutional ability to activate the
cultural heritage. With the spread of the Internet into
social practices of millions of people, the search for
contents relating to a travel destination or a specific
monument, has gradually shifted in terms of strategic
influence from traditional channels to online information
resources. The public opinion on the quality of cultural
heritages or events depends less and less from the
assessment of traditional agencies and it is instead
increasingly dependent on user reviews and rankings
based on social network sharing activities

A characterization of the sporadic group of Lyons
We show that Lyons' sporadic simple group is the unique finite simple group that is simultaneously of weak characteristic -type and characteristic -type for odd and with and
