Accounting Documentation Software: An Overview of Options and Results from a Lucidchart Software Evaluation
No full textAccounting practitioners use documentation diagrams to plan audits, train employees, and consult on accounting information systems development. Accounting educators instruct students in diagram development with various software tools as preparation for industry requirements. This paper presents a review of documentation diagrams identified by practice and major textbooks, a summary of software tool options, and an examination of cloud-based documentation software. We suggest software adoption criteria and propose Lucidchart as a cloud-software solution for developing accounting documentation diagrams. Finally, we present the results from a Lucidchart software evaluation study. The practical contribution is two-fold for educators responsible for teaching accounting documentation topics: (a) a documentation software resource; and (b) an initial usage assessment of Lucidchart software

In particular, this mixed investigation evaluates the impact of the Lucidchart application on the cloud to describe the functioning and behavior of Computer Systems through the elaboration of the UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams. The sample consists of 22 students who take the course Application Development at the La Salle University Campus in Mexico City during the 2017 school year. This quantitative and qualitative study analyzes this software considering aspects of functionality, learning, tool for the educational process, interface and service in the network. In conclusion, this research recommends the cloud applications available in Google Drive as Lucidchart in order to build innovative educational experiences.El desarrollo de las herramientas digitales está provocando cambios significativos en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje. En particular, esta investigación mixta evalúa el impacto de la aplicación en la nube Lucidchart para describir el funcionamiento y comportamiento de los Sistemas Informáticos a través de la elaboración de los diagramas UML (Unified Modeling Language). La muestra está compuesta por 22 estudiantes que cursan la asignatura Desarrollo de aplicaciones en la Universidad La Salle Campus Ciudad de México durante el ciclo escolar 2017. No full textEn la enseñanza – aprendizaje se observó en los estudiantes de formación inicial docente un aprendizaje mecánico, repetitivo convergente con escasas habilidades innovadoras, limitado aprendizaje autónomo; por tanto, el uso del recurso Lucidchart tiene una relación directa con aprendizaje autónomo y colaborativo. La interrogante fue: ¿Cómo influye el uso de software Lucidchart en el aprendizaje autónomo de los estudiantes del Instituto de Educación Superior Pedagógico Público Quillabamba, 2021?, el objetivo fue. determinar la influencia del uso de software Lucidchart en el aprendizaje autónomo de los estudiantes del Instituto de Educación Superior Pedagógico Público Quillabamba, 2021. La investigación utilizó el método cuantitativo, con diseño preexperimental de un solo grupo de preprueba – posprueba. Se trabajó con un grupo y se le aplica una prueba previa al tratamiento experimental, luego se suministra el tratamiento y finalmente se le aplica una prueba posterior al estímulo. La población es 268 estudiantes del distrito Santa Ana - Quillabamba, y Filial Pichari 229, en ambos un total de 497 estudiantes y la muestra de 24 estudiantes, la selección de muestreo es no probabilística, porque depende de la decisión del investigador; también se denomina muestra dirigida. Para la obtención de resultados de información se utilizó el instrumento pre test secuenciado con la aplicación de post test. La hipótesis se comprobó con diseño estadístico T de Student. Los resultados obtenidos determinan la influencia entre el uso de Software Lucidchart y el autoaprendizaje en los estudiantes
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
