Painful herpetiform aphthous ulcers in the oral mucosa in a 15-year-old man
Oral manifestations of secondary syphilis showing as aphthous-like lesion, in the mucosa are observed, independently with oral sex habits. Detailed clinical history, expert physical examination and specific serological/microbiological assays are mandatory. A single intramuscular dose of 2.400.000 IU of penicillin benzathine is the recommended treatment of choice for primary and secondary syphilis. Such treatment can be repeated weekly for 2 or 3 weeks only in selected cases.Sin financiaciónNo data WoSNo data Scopus670 SPI – ICEE (2018), 4/96 General – Editoriales extranjerasUE
