Portrait of the Lopez family gathered at the 50th wedding anniversary, 1901
Photographic portrait of the Lopez family gathered at the old home for the 50th wedding anniversary, 1901. Men and women cluster together on the patio of a one-story adobe house which the picture file card identifies as the "old ranch house". In the front row, an adolescent boy is seated on the ground, clutching his knee to his chest, while four of his elders sit behind him on chairs. To the right, an elderly man with a long, white beard is dressed in a suit, an elderly women seated to either side of him, although the woman to the right appears to be older. To the far left of the row, a third woman is seated, who appears to be in her early fifties. The rest of the group appear to be middle-aged, the younger of whom wear bolero dress. Picture file card reads "Names in Photo File". Anniversary of Dona Catalina Lopez and Don Jeronimo Lopez, who were married in 1851. Photoprint reads: "The old Lopez Shel[...] on the Toll Road 1890-1900?".; An additional information card lists the name of those in the picture: "1. Rubina Lopez de Dominguez, 2. Dona Catalina Lopez, 3. Don Geronimo (or Jeronimo?) Lopez, 4. Dona Augustia Feliz de Ramirez (Dona Chinita), 5. Joe Alexander (David Alexander's son), 6. Chrissy Wilson (Mr. John Wilson's sister), 7. Inflación y rendimientos accionarios en Argentina
Fil: Lopez, Wilson.
LoLab-VU/Gleipnir: Bayesian parameter inference and model selection for biological models using Nested Sampling in Python
<p>Gleipnir is a python toolkit that provides an easy to use interface for Bayesian parameter inference and model selection using Nested Sampling. It has a built-in implementation of the Nested Sampling algorithm but also provides a common interface to the Nested Sampling implementations MultiNest, PolyChord, dyPolyChord, DNest4, and Nestle. Although Gleipnir provides a general framework for running Nested Sampling simulations, it was created with biological models in mind. It therefore supplies additional tools for working with biological models in the PySB format (see the PySB Utilities section). Likewise, Gleipnir's API was designed to be familiar to users of <a href="https://github.com/LoLab-VU/PyDREAM">PyDREAM</a> and <a href="https://github.com/LoLab-VU/ParticleSwarmOptimization">simplePSO</a>, which are primarily used for biological model calibration.</p>This release includes some feature additions including the addition of the dyPolyChord and Nestle interface classes. It also includes some changes to the non-public core such as the base abstract class for the nested sampler classes

Extending highly loaded axial fan operability range through novel blade design
The tip clearance size has historically been considered to be the main factor affecting stability range in axial fan and compressors. This paper reveals that the stall characteristics are defined by the axial momentum flux of the tip leakage flow and that tip clearance is primarily a strong driver for this metric. A bespoke methodology for carefully tailoring the axial momentum via three-dimensional design is presented, which enables a higher degree of control over the stability range for cases where the tip clearance responds to other considerations and cannot be defined for this purpose. The effect of the axial momentum on efficiency is also addressed and the trade-off between operability range and design point performance is derived. The results show that the conditions for optimal stability differ from those for optimal efficiency and that control over the axial momentum enables tuning the design for a desired exchange. Numerical simulations have been employed to drive the analysis through a high-fidelity computational model whose behavior is supported by rich set of experimental data. Contrary to current belief, results further indicate that an accurate characterization of stall, including onset mechanism, can be achieved through steady-state simulations, minimizing the need for expensive time-accurate computations during the design phase

Determination of the effect of time in the characteristics of the drilling mud in a static state during a pipe stucks
A partir de estos datos se hizo el cálculo de la propiedades de: densidad, viscosidad plástica y esfuerzo de gel para finalmente hacer los análisis de: sección en el tiempo, muestras en el tiempo, secciones por muestra y SAG TEST.PregradoIngeniero de PetróleosThe drill pipe stucks are an auspicious scenario for the generation of a static state in the drilling fluid, if this incident remains enough time it can produce an impairment in the properties of the drilling fluid and therefore it can be culprit of making the stuck worst. This work looks forward to stablish if an extensive static state of the drilling mud can reduce the capacity of the mud to accomplish its functions, On the other hand, the experimental design was based on the method used to determine whether or not decantation exists during the test, which is known as SAG TEST; In addition, a hypothetical case was proposed for a 12-day pipeline, from which oil-based mud samples were prepared to measure 3 different time periods and which were divided into 3 lower, medium and higher sections The tests of density, rheology and API filtration were carried out on the day of their elaboration, after which the samples were tested for density and rheology at 4 days of the static regime, at 8 days and at 12 days. From these data the properties of: density, plastic viscosity and gel effort were finally calculated to make the analyzes of: section in time, samples in time, sections per sample and SAG TEST
