    Masalah 'target panic' adalah berkaitan dengan ganguan psikologi yang mengakibatkan seseorang pemanah itu hilang kawalan dalam melakukan rutin memanah yang sempurna. Masih belum ada lagi kajian secara terperinci mengenai masalah ini. la biasanya berlaku dikalangan keseluruhan pemanah kategori compound Kelab Memanah UiTM Pahang, tetapi hanya 5 kes sahaja dibincangkan kerana terdapat catatan lengkap. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk meneroka masalah ini dan merungkaikan bagaimana masalah ini dapat diatasi dengan jayanya di UiTM Pahang. Kaedah penyelesaian ini boleh digunapakai dan dijadikan asas untuk penambahbaikan oleh jurulatih-jurulatih memanah di UiTM Pahang khususnya dan di semua peringkat secara amnya

    Kelab Memanah UiTM Pahang telah menjadi kebanggaan UiTM Pahang sejak ia ditubuhkan pada tahun 2006. Dalam masa 6 tahun, kelab ini telah memenangi hampir 600 pingat di kejohanan-kejohanan di dalam dan luar negara. Pencapaian ini adalah mengkagumkan memandangkan diperingkat awal, jurulatihnya kurang pengalaman dan majoriti pemanah tiada latarbelakang memanah. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan maklumat bagaimana psikologi sukan telah digunakan secara langsung dan tidak langsung untuk meningkatkan prestasi pemanah. Aspek penetapan matlamat, motivasi dan konsep kendiri dibincangkan secara terperinci. Pengalaman yang telah diperolehi boleh menjadi panduan untuk digunakan oleh kelab-kelab lain dalam pelbagai bidang

    The intense environmental conditions at the summit of Mt. Everest put human physiology near the limit of tolerance. The immediate (acute) effects of severe oxygen deprivation of extreme altitudes related to the human response and the adaptations to prolonged exposure (chronic) are complex. Mohd Nasuha Shamsudin, the youngest Malaysian climber to scale Mt. Everest was selected for the case study. Analysis of both acute and chronic physiological responses and his self-reported health related symptoms during his expedition to summit of Mt. Everest was studied. The purpose of this study was to describe the respondent's responses and adaptation to his cardiovascular, respiratory, bioenergetics, physical performance as well as the health problems in different level of altitude. The finding, found several primary symptoms of hypoxia including headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, shortness of breath upon exertion, persistent rapid pulse, excessive flatulence and general fatigue upon reaching to high altitude. The respondent also reported common problem at high altitude including loss of appetite, dehydration and severe 'khumbu cough '. Useful information was gained based on the climber's self-reported measurement and experience in relations to the extreme altitude acclimatization and sickness and the physiological implication at an altitude

    ‘Target Panic’ can make an archer to experience a disruption in their archery routines and techniques. The study is to explore the problem of ‘Target Panic’ among 28 archers who have experienced this emerging problem before. The objective of this study is to understand this issue better, to look into the differences of scores before and while an arher who is experiencing the 'Target Panic' and listing the recovery steps through the feedback received. Using primary data, 104 questionnaires were distributed and only 53 questionnaires were completed and returned. The instrument is then analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0 for t-test (two-tailed) comparison of scores before and during archers experiencing ‘Target panic’.Results show that there are significant differences in scores for the compound archers but no significant scores differences were found among recurver archers

    High performance in sport and aggression has been reported to correlate with low digit ratio (2D:4D) due to high amount of testosterone received in the womb. In this study rugby is chosen because Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pahang's rugby team is regarded as one of the top 3 teams among the UiTM branches rugby team, and also among other varsity rugby teams in the nation. The players were very talented as most of them have vast experiences playing for their own respective states from youth to the senior team level. Furthermore, rugby has been associated with aggression which is a direct relation to the production of hormone testosterone. Thus, this study was conducted in order to investigate the digit ratio profile of the rugby players (n=22). Their mean age score was 19.3±0.95 years old and 2D:4D were measured by using the MicroDicom software Based on the descriptive analysis, the findings showed that 20 players out of 22 players had low 2D:4D, with only 2 players had high 2D:4D with overall mean score .95±.03I mm and the highest 2D:4D recorded were 1.02 mm. The results were in line with the other past related evidence which stated that low 2D:4D were highly correlated with sporting ability and high performance across variety of sports. Therefore, we concluded most of the players in the current rugby team posed low 2D:4D, and may correlate with the team high rugby performance that contributes to most of their recent success

    Football is the most enjoyable sport in the world and will be played continuously at different level of match. Universti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Pahang football team may be considered as a serious contender in competitive football tournament recently. The series of victory in every match in Liga IPT 2012 Division 3 allow the team to be promoted in Division 2 for next season. This study was undertaken to record the anthropometric and body composition of the players who were responsible of this great achievement. A total of 15 football players were involved that consist of three main roles in the team (midfielder, defender and striker). The data were included the height, weight and body fat percentage of the players. Subjects mean age was 19.6 (± .63) years. The mean body weight and height (± SD) were 59.3 (± 5.92) kg and 170.8 (± 3.98) cm respectively. All testing were in accordance to standardized procedures. Overall findings based on one-way ANOVA did not reveal significant differences in terms body fat percentage based on the three specific playing positions. Major cause for the current findings was due to the limited number of participants in this study. This collective data will set as a physically status that permit the modification of dietary intakes and training programs to sustain fitness and match performance throughout the football competitive season.
