The research is qualitative study. The objectives of the research are (1) to study
how marketing management is implemented in Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan
Profesional (LBPP) LIA Surakarta and (2) to identify how far marketing management can
attract the students’ interest to join Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional (LBPP)
LIA Surakarta. The problems of the research are (1) how is marketing management
implemented in Lembaga Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional (LBPP) LIA Surakarta and
(2) how far marketing management can attract the students’ interest to join Lembaga
Bahasa dan Pendidikan Profesional (LBPP) LIA Surakarta.
The research was conducted in LBPPLIA Surakarta on 2009. The sources of
the data cover events, documents and written documents. The data were collected through
(1) naturalistic observation, (2) interview and (3) document analysis. In analyzing the
data the writer used interactive model analysis including reducing the data, presenting the
data and drawing conclusion.
The result of the research shows that (1) the objectives of the marketing
management at LBPP LIA Surakarta are to get as many students as possible (2) the
staffing of marketing is all staffs of LBPP LIA Surakarta and there is not a division of
marketing, (3) the products of LBPP LIA Surakarta are five programs opened: English for
children, English for teens, English for adult, English conversation, TOEFL preparation
class, (3) the targets of the students are (a) the targets of students are all class compiled by
the students; (b) there are the increasing of the students number for some periods; (c) the
students have a good ability is spoken mastery; and (d) the total number of the students
are two thousands students, (4) media used in the marketing are (a) the printed medias are
brochure, leaflet, newspaper, sticker, note book, and seminar kit; (b) the electronic medias
are television, radio, and internet; and (c) the social interaction like friends, family and
other, (5) the marketing activities are sponsorships, social activities, scholarships,
conferences, reading competition, and extracurricular activity, (6) the services of LBPP
LIA Surakarta are (a) the teaching quality; (b) the services of the staffs and (c) students’
facilities which include classrooms, television, tape recorder, white board, air conditioner,
chair, work book, students’ book, CD listening, magazine, sticker; (d) teachers’ facilities
are library, internet, indovision; and (e) Common facilities are canteen and toilet.
The research also shows the extent of marketing management attracts the
students’ interest to join LBPP LIA. Based on students’ consideration, the quality of the
course is the components that increase the students’ interested to join an English course.
The quality of the course includes the role of the teachers, facilities, methods, and the
graduates which are influential. Based on the research findings, the theory
constructed is thatmarketing management at LBPP LIA Surakarta attracted the
students’ interest to join LBPP LIA Surakarta in the case of (1) the media of marketing,
(2) marketing activities and (3) the quality of the course involving the role of the teachers,
facilities, methods, and the graduates.

Il colore nella cittadella razionalista di Ivrea: l’opera di Eduardo Vittoria.
No full textEduardo Vittoria è il progettista che meglio di ogni altro ha saputo dare forma visibile e funzionante al pensiero dell’imprenditore Adriano Olivetti. All’interno della cittadella razionalista, lungo via Jervis, porta con i suoi edifici non solo la sperimentazione di nuove soluzioni e forme costruttive, ma anche il colore. La ricerca racconta attraverso alcune opere eporediesi la poetica del colore dell’architetto.
Per l’azienda Olivetti gli anni ‘50 sono di fondamentale importanza; è il periodo di consolidamento sul mercato nazionale e della grande espansione su quello internazionale, grazie anche al lancio di nuovi prodotti. Il successo commerciale richiede un consistente ampliamento della produzione e la costruzione di nuovi spazi e di servizi necessari alla vita dell’azienda. Figini e Pollini, Quaroni, Nizzoli, BBPR, Gardella e Ridolfi sono alcuni dei giovani designer e architetti “testimoni di una propria interpretazione del mondo” attraverso cui l’industriale intendeva dimostrare la possibilità di costruire attraverso “luoghi diversi” un comune progetto che andava oltre alla semplice produzione di profitto. In questa idea progettuale s’inserisce l’opera di Eduardo Vittoria. Laureatosi a Napoli nel 1947 con Luigi Piccinato, dopo un periodo nello studio Luigi Cosenza viene invitato dall’industriale ad aggregarsi all’ufficio tecnico della società da cui dipendeva il coordinamento e la direzione delle iniziative di sviluppo industriale e architettonico. I primi progetti residenziali, tra cui la villa Monte Revel per la sorella di Adriano, che richiamano le ville di Neutra a Los Angeles nella disposizione planimetrica, portano accenni di cultura mediterranea ad Ivrea anche con uso delle maioliche colorate negli interni. Ma è la sua prima opera per la società, il Centro studi ed esperienze (1952) che esprime la personale poetica architettonica fatta di ricerca continua e rifiuto degli schemi precostituiti e che introduce il colore tra le architetture olivettiane. L’edificio realizzato per essere il nuovo centro ricerche e specchio dell’immagine aziendale nel mondo, si sviluppa con una pianta a quattro bracci asimmetrici disposti a croce ed è rivestito in klinker blu di Vietri dipinti a mano, con gli infissi e corrimano in ghisa dipinti di rossi, i telai neri e la maglia strutturale rivestita in graniglia bianca. Innovazione e ricerca dell’azienda si concretizzano nella forma e nel colore dell’edificio che delinea le parti costitutive evidenziandone i volumi e distaccandosi dalla vecchia immagine di fabbrica della prima Ico e dei successivi volumi bianchi di Figini e Pollini. L’utilizzo del colore, ispirato alla poetica neoplastica, come nelle opere successive, la Centrale Termica (1956) con i suoi parallelepipedi in klinker rossi, gialli e blu o gli edifici del complesso industriale di San Bernardo, scardina la monocromia degli edifici funzionalisti, indicando così possibili innovazioni anche in questo campo
The hidden author: an interpretation of Petronius' Satyricon

But this episode is only one part of the larger picture of life during Nero's rule presented in the work. In this accessible discussion of Petronius's masterful use of parody, Gian Biagio Conte offers an interpretation of the Satyricon as a whole. Antiproliferative and Proapoptotic Effects of Erucin, a Diet-Derived H2S Donor, on Human Melanoma Cells
No full textMelanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer and is characterized by chemotherapy resistance and recurrence despite the new promising therapeutic approaches. In the last years, erucin (ERU), the major isothiocyanate present in Eruca sativa, commonly known as rocket salads, has demonstrated great efficacy as an anticancer agent in different in vitro and in vivo models. More recently, the chemopreventive effects of ERU have been associated with its property of being a H2S donor in human pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Here, we investigated the effects of ERU in modulating proliferation and inducing human melanoma cell death by using multiple in vitro approaches. ERU significantly reduced the proliferation of different human melanoma cell lines. A flow cytometry analysis with annexin V/PI demonstrated that ERU was able to induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in A375 melanoma cells. The proapoptotic effect of ERU was associated with the modulation of the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related cadherins and transcription factors. Moreover, ERU thwarted the migration, invasiveness and clonogenic abilities of A375 melanoma cells. These effects were associated with melanogenesis impairment and mitochondrial fitness modulation. Therefore, we demonstrated that ERU plays an important role in inhibiting the progression of melanoma and could represent a novel add-on therapy for the treatment of human melanoma
Il lessico politico negli «Ammaestramenti degli antichi» di Bartolomeo da San Concordio
No full textThe vernacular translation of the Documenta antiquorum by Bartolomew of Santo Concordio represents a rare testimony of an auto-translation performed in Florence between the 13th and the 14th centuries. The very coincidence of the author and the translator in the same person reveals the programmatic character of the drafting of this text in vulgar, and the connection with the choice for an opening to the Tuscan vernacular of such a moral and edifying work, and as part of the project of diffusion and circulation of moral thought, intentionally undertaken by the mendicant Orders. Through a conceptual comparison with the contemporary political treaties by Remigio de’ Girolami and Tolomeo da Lucca, and the linguistic analysis of the translation choices in the semantic field of politics (compared with the vulgar translation of Sallustius and the works of the most important vulgar translators of the Duecento), the article observes that in the Ammaestramenti degli Antichi the main concern is towards actualization. The translation wants to display the classical world and the religious examples as a mirror of the Italian municipal society. To achieve this objective, the author needs to create a context that is readily intelligible and immediately recognizable by the reader, whether he is a cleric or a layman
Physical Demands of Elite Male and Female 3 × 3 International Basketball Matches

J Strength Cond Res 37(4): e289–e296, 2023—This study aimed to (1) characterize the physical demands of 3 × 3 basketball games during live playing time and ball possession and (2) assess the differences in physical demands between male and female players. Following an observational design, video footage from 27 games of the International Basketball Federation 3 × 3 World Cup 2019 were analyzed from 104 international 3 × 3 basketball players (n = 52 male and n = 52 female players) resulting in a total of 216 (104 male and 112 female) individual game samples. Manual frame-by-frame time-motion analyses determined the relative frequency (n·min−1) and duration (%) for several physical demands at different intensities, according to sex, during the live playing time and in ball possession phases. Linear mixed models for repeated measures and effect size (ES) analyses revealed small non-significant differences in the intermittent profile of 3 × 3 basketball games according to sex (total movements per minute, male = 39.3 (38.6–40.1); female = 40.2 (39.5–41.0), estimated marginal means with 95% confidence intervals). Female competitions had significantly greater number of low-intensity activities (LIA, small ES) and high-intensity activities (HIA, small ES) performed per minute over longer games (small ES), whereas male players had more recovery activities (small ES). During ball possession, male players spent a larger amount of time performing LIA (small ES) than female players, who displayed both the greatest number of HIA and the highest percentage of playing time performed at high intensity (small ES). Overall, these findings suggest that basketball coaches should design sex-specific training sessions based on the specific match demands

Attraverso la sperimentazione di soluzioni e forme coerenti al processo costruttivo, ha concretizzato l’innovazione nell’immagine reale dell’azienda. Lo studio esemplifica il suo processo ideativo attraverso i frammenti di un’opera continua nella ricerca, in cui una soluzione va ricercata ogni volta “all’interno del processo globale che integra tutte le componenti del progetto, attingendo all’intero complesso di attività scientifiche e tecnologiche valorizzabili ai fini dell’uomo”.Vittoria was able to give visible and tangible form to the Olivetti’s thought. He gave substance to the technological innovation in the real image of the company, experimenting solutions and forms that exemplify the construction process.
