Jews in space
As part of the “Zoom Shabbat” program, organised by the Jewish Community of Belgrade and technically supported by Raka-Rahamin Levi, the guest speaker on May 23, 2025, was Raka Levi himself - the host and editor of the Zoom series. This presentation, available here in PDF format only, focused on Jewish individuals connected to space exploration. It highlighted Jewish astronauts from Russia, the United States, and Israel, as well as lesser-known figures whose work touched on the cosmos - including science fiction writers, authors of space-themed books, filmmakers, and even a 14th-century Jewish astronomer-astrologer. The presentation offered a unique blend of biographical, scientific, and cultural insights into the Jewish presence in the history and imagination of space.Predavanje održano 23. maja 2025. godine preko Zoom platforme (Zoom Šabat) sa početkom u 19.30 časova. The lecture was held on May 23, 2025, via the Zoom platform (Zoom Shabbat) starting at 7:30 p.m

Holocaust in the film
As part of the "Zoom Shabbat" activity, organized by the Jewish Community of Belgrade and the technical support of Raka-Rahamim Levi, on May 26, 2023, the guest and lecturer was Davor Stipić, doctor of historical sciences, whose doctoral dissertation, and research, papers and lectures related to Jewish heritage and Jewish topics. For this presentation, he prepared and talked about the Holocaust in the film. He emphasized that the forms and genres of depicting and presenting the Holocaust in film in the last 80 years have been diverse and that the topic began to be presented even before the beginning of the Second World War and the Holocaust. He pointed out that it is one of the most widespread themes of world cinematography and that there are numerous films in which the Holocaust is not the main theme, but they contain some references, associations, and various trans-genre and trans-literary associations to the Holocaust, which he presented with examples from several films. He especially emphasized that the theme of the Holocaust in world films appears in almost all film genres, including those in which it is not expected such as films with a humorous theme. Through several specific examples from the movies, he introduced the listeners to many aspects of the presence of the Holocaust in the film.Predavanje održano 26. maja 2023. godine preko Zoom platforme (Zoom Šabat) sa početkom u 19.30 časova. The lecture was held on May 26, 2023, via the Zoom platform (Zoom Shabbat) starting at 7:30 p.m.Trajanje 01:18:59 minuta (duration 01:18:59 minutes)
