Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

d.o.o.« govori o operat ivnem managementu v omenjenem podjetju.
Kot redni študent univerzitetnega študija Fakultete za organizacijske
vede v Kranju sem diplomsko nalogo povezal s predmetom Kadrovski
management in mojim delov v podjetju Koren Sports d.o.o.. V svoji
nalogi sem sodeloval z mentorjem dr. Jožetom Florjancicem, ki je tudi
predavatelj predmeta Kadrovski management.
Glavni del diplomske naloge je osredotocen na operat ivni
management v podjetju Koren Sports d.o.o.
Diplomska naloga je razdeljena na dva dela:
Teoreticni del, ki opisuje teoreticne osnove organizacije in
managementa, ter znacilnosti in funkcije vodilnega kadra, kot jih
navaja st rokovna literatura.
Empiricni del, je sestavljen iz predstavitve podjetja Koren Sports
d.o.o. ter iz analize in rezultatov mnenjske ankete, ki je bila izvedena
v podjetju. Na podlagi ankete smo prišli do ugotovitev in sklepov, ki
smo jih podali v poglavju Sklepi in predlogi.
Glavni namen naloge je ugotovit i vpliv operativnega managementa v
podjetju, ter na podlagi rezultatov mnenjske ankete poiskati rešitev,
ki bi podjetju pomagale pri doseganju še boljših rezultatov, boljši
organiziranosti in uspešnejšem tekmovanju s konkurenco. Ker je
operativni management izrednega pomena za vse našteto in je
nepogrešljiv , je bil tudi izbran kot tema diplomske naloge.My diploma composition tit led »Operativni management v podjetju

Koren Sports d.o.o.. As a student of Faculty of Organizational
Sciences in Kranj, I connected my diploma with the subject
Management of Human Resources and with my work in that company.
I also cooperated with my mentor dr. Jože Florjancic, who is lecturer
of subject Management of Human Resources.
The main part of the diploma is focused on operat ive management in
company and it is divided in two parts:
Theoretical part, which describes theoretical abstract of organization
and management and characteristics and funct ions of top managers,
based on professional literature.
Empirical part includes presentation of the company and analysis with
the results of executive managers opinion research, which give us
some suggestions for possible improvements in the company.
The purpose of this work is to discover the influence of operative
management in the company and also to find some improvement,
based on results of this research, which would assist company to
attain its desired objectives, proper organization and successful
breakthrough in the world of compet ition. In order to achieve that

Nakon uvodnog razmatranja prikazano je nekoliko koncepcijskih rješenja te je na temelju zadanih uvjeta odabrano najbolje rješenje. Potom je napravljen proračun i odabir standardnih komponenata mehanizma za dizanje i prihvat tereta. Nakon njih slijedi proračun čvrstoće odabranih komponenata nosive konstrukcije. Na kraju je odabran hidraulički motor i prijenosnik snage. CAD modeli i tehnička dokumentacija izrađeni su u programskom paketu SolidWorks. Tehnička dokumentacija se sastoji od sklopnog crteža vitla i radioničkih crteža nosive konstrukcije i bubnja.This final thesis takes a look at various types of winches, their modes of operation and basic features. After an introduction, several conceptual solutions are depicted, as well as the selected solution. This is followed by a calculation and the selection of standard components of a loadlifting mechanism. What comes next is the calculation of the strength of the selected components of the supporting structure. Finally, a hydraulic motor and transmission have been selected. CAD models and the technical documentation have been made with the SolidWorks software. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Tractor mounted lawn aerator
Full text linkU uvodu rada objašnjeno je što je to prozračivanje travnjaka te značaj koji prozračivanje ima u
njezi travnjaka. Nakon uvodnog dijela slijedi analiza tržišta, kojom su prikazani različiti načini
prozračivanja i različite vrste prozračivača. Kako je zadatak ovog rada koncipirati i konstruirati
traktorski priključak za prozračivanje travnjaka, pregledom postojećih proizvoda iz te skupine
generirana su tri koncepta. Na temelju određenih kriterija, koji predstavljaju najbitnije
karakteristike uređaja, provedeno je vrednovanje koncepata te je kao najbolji odabran onaj
najveće sume ocjena. Nakon odabira najboljeg koncepta kreće se u detaljnu razradu uređaja u
kojoj su odabrani standardni dijelovi i proračunati oni nestandardni. Na temelju provedenog
proračuna izrađen je 3D model uređaja i tehnička dokumentacija u programskom paketu
SolidWorks. Na kraju je napravljen detaljan prikaz i opis uređaja i njegovog rada.The introductory part of this master’s thesis defines the concept of turf aeration and deals with
the importance of this procedure with regard to turf care. The introduction is followed by a
market analysis which goes into the different modes of aeration and types of aerators. Since the
objective of this thesis was to design and construct a tractor attachment for turf aeration, an
overview of the existing products in this product range was offered, from which three concepts
were singled out. With regard to certain criteria related to the main features of such devices, a
concept evaluation was conducted, and the best product was determined according to the sum
of its scores. After the best concept had been chosen, the device was analysed in detail and the
standard parts were selected, whereas non-standard parts were determined on the basis of
calculations. The conducted calculations allowed for a 3D model of the device and associated
technical documentation to be created in the SolidWorks software package. Finally, a detailed
scheme and description of the device and its operation were drawn up
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
