    Democratic nominee, Leo F. Welch was photographed by Charles Bretzman in 1929. The customer card lists him at 4319 Broadway in Indianapolis. The city directory shows he was the secretary treasurer of J.R. Welch & Sons, Inc., a real estate and insurance company at 23 West Ohio Street. According to the census record of 1930, Mr. Welch was married to Kathyleen and the family had eight children.This image is a preservation copy made from an unstable original nitrate negative. The image is part of Series III. The damage to the image was caused by degradation of the negative
