Wang Meng and contemporary Chinese literature: the vicissitudes of a committed writer
Full text linkThis thesis examines the way Wang Meng has developed as a writer from the 1950s to the 1990s in the context of New China's political and literary background. It looks at the compromises he was forced to make between his political beliefs in the Communist Party and his chosen role as a professional writer. After his disastrous early foray into what was deemed to be unacceptable political criticism with The Young Newcomer in the Organisation Department in the 1950s, when the opportunity came to start publishing again in the late 1970s he was boldly innovative in style, helping to transform New Period literature, but conservative in content, sticking to politically acceptable topics. It was only with Hard Porridge in 1989 that he ventured again, and very successfully, into political comment. There is no outstanding leading writer in contemporary China, but Wang Meng is a leading contender for the title

Stable Models of Formulas with Generalized Quantifiers (Preliminary Report)
Full text linkApplications of answer set programming motivated various extensions of the stable model semantics, for instance, to allow aggregates or to facilitate interface with external ontology descriptions. We present a uniform, reductive view on these extensions by viewing them as special cases of formulas with generalized quantifiers. This is done by extending the first-order stable model semantics by Ferraris, Lee and Lifschitz to account for generalized quantifiers and then by reducing the individual extensions to this formalism

No full text[[abstract]]With the changes in the new generation of leisure travel ideas, young students take advantage of summer vacation travel aboard more and more prevalent. However, due to a large number of samples is not easy to obtain, and also the difficulties to implementation questionnaire on overseas Chinese youth to Taiwan tourism-related research. The purpose of this study was to explore relationship between tourism image, experiential value, and behavioral intentions.
The survey method was conducted in 2013 Malaysian Chinese Youth Taiwan Study Tour total of 300 members. 297 valid questionnaires were recovered. Research tools included questionnaire of tourism image, experiential value, and behavioral intentions. Apart from the descriptive statistical analysis, principal component analysis and regression analysis were also used, in order to verify hypotheses.
The results showed tourism image, experiential value, and behavioral intentions are positively related. Also shows that, 1. Through landscape natural resources and atmosphere in tourism image can influence the entertainment in experience value, which can help to improve the revisit behavioral intentions; 2. Specialty food, political and economic factors in tourism image can influence the escape from reality in experience value, which can help to improve the shopping behavior intentions; 3. Through creating tourist facilities, political and economic factors, social factors and tourist attractions in tourism image, can influence the aesthetic experience value, which can help to improve the recommendation behavior intentions; 4. By creating a healthy tourism and leisure tourism image, can influence the escape from reality in experience value, which can help to improve the study aboard behavior intentions. At last, future research topics were also suggested
