Sopraano operetin pyörteissä : Konserttiohjelmiston valintoja ja fakkeja
No full textOpinnäytetyö on luonteeltaan taideteko. Taiteellisessa osuudessa opinnäytteen tekijä lauloi pääasiassa operettikappaleita salonkiorkesterin vierailevana solistina. Tavoitteena oli edistää ja pitää yllä operettimusiikin esittämiseen liittyviä perinteitä sekä kehittää laulajan solistisia taitoja erityisesti operetin saralla. Konsertista on kirjallisen työn liitteenä dvd- ja cd-tallenteet.
Opinnäytetyön kirjallisessa osuudessa tarkoituksena on käsitellä konserttia prosessin omaisesti, mutta myös hankkia lisätietoa työn aiheeseen liittyvistä asioista. Työn alussa on sen lukemista helpottava lauluun liittyvä erityissanasto ja lisäksi luodaan lyhyt katsaus operetin historiaan. Taustatietona konsertissa esitetyistä kappaleista kerrotaan niiden säveltäjistä sekä esitellään työhön liittyviä operetteja roolihenkilöiden ja juonitiivistelmien kautta.
Työssä kerrotaan konserttiohjelmiston valintojen prosessista yleisesti ja laulajan subjektiivisen kokemuksen kautta käymällä lävitse kaikki konsertissa esitetyt kappaleet. Tämä valintaprosessi edelsi taiteellisen osuuden konserttia. Konsertin jälkeisessä tulostentarkastelussa painopiste on ohjelmiston ääni- ja hahmotyypin mukaisessa sopivuudessa laulajalle. Työssä selvitetään, mikä fakki on käsitteenä ja mitä korkeiden naisäänten fakkeja opereteissa olevat diivan ja subretin tehtävät yleisimmin edustavat. Tavoitteena oli spesifisti tutkia muutamien esimerkkien kautta operettikappaleiden korkeiden naisäänten ääni- ja hahmotyyppejä. Tutkimus tapahtui reflektoimalla omia kokemuksia ja yhdistämällä ne yleiseen tietoon ja asiantuntijan haastatteluun.This thesis represents an act of art with a related report. In the artistic part of the thesis, the author performed mainly operetta pieces as a guest soloist of a parlour orchestra. The aim was to promote and to maintain the traditions of operetta music and to develop the singer's soloistic competence, particularly in the field of operetta. The DVD and CD recordings of the concert are attached to the thesis.
In the report part of the thesis, the objective is to discuss the concert as a process, but also to explore various aspects relating to the theme in detail. In the beginning of the thesis, there is a glossary of the singing terms used in the thesis, as well as a brief review on the history of operetta. As background information for the pieces performed in the concert, the composers are described and the operettas in question are introduced through their characters and synopsises.
In this thesis, I discuss the process of choosing concert repertoire in general and reflect the pieces performed in the concert through the singer's subjective experi-ence. In the thesis, I define the concept of the vocal fach and explore with examples which high female voice types the divas and the subrettis typically represent. The research was carried out by reflecting my own experiences and combining them with common knowledge and an interview with an expert.Työhön kuuluu liitteenä taiteellisen osuuden dvd sekä cd. Investigating Hybrid Search with Eye-Tracking: A Replication of Drew, Boettcher, and Wolfe (2017)

This study investigates how three factors affect performance of visual search: (1) memory set size: the number of targets the participant must memorize and then search for; (2) visual set size: the number of distractors (not memorized) and targets on the screen; and (3) target presence. By measuring response times and eye-movement patterns, the study tests the hypothesis that observers make a single search through the visual image in a hybrid search. A hybrid search occurs when an observer is searching for one of a number of possible targets that they hold in memory.
We plan to run the same analyses as Drew et al. regarding behavioral results, eye-tracking results, and FVF analysis
