Dexrazoxane for the treatment of chemotherapy-related side effects

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on luoda sahalle sellainen järjestelmä, jossa huoltotoimenpiteet ovat osana tuotantoprosessia. Työssä pyritään kartoittamaan ne toimenpiteet, joiden avulla voidaan maksimoida tuotannon aikana tapahtuvat huoltotoimenpiteet. Näillä toimenpiteillä mahdollistetaan sahan käyntiasteen nosto >80 % tasolle.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaosissa on hyödynnetty teknologia osaamisen johtamisen koulutusohjelmassa tehtyjä tehtäviä ja luentoja. Omaa osaamista ja ammattitaitoa on hyödynnetty ongelmien ratkaisuissa. Tiedon haussa on pyritty hyödyntämään useita eri lähdetyyppejä. Aineiston oikeellisuutta on verrattu aikaisemmin opittuun tietoon tai on muulla tavoin varmistettu lähteen oikeellisuus. Aineistoa opinnäytetyöhön on kerätty pitkällä aikavälillä ja toteuttamisessa on käytetty sahantietojärjestelmien dokumentaatiota ja raportteja.
Aineistoon on kerätty sellaista tietoa, jonka avulla Veitsiluodon sahan saavuttaa tavoitteeksi asetetun käyntiasteen ja jatkaa toiminnan kehittämistä. Lisäksi on esitetty se, miten toimintatavat voidaan ottaa käyttöön ja kehittää niitä. Toteutustavassa pyritään herättämään huomio lukijan omiin mahdollisuuksiin vaikuttaa toiminnan tason parantamiseen. Lisäksi on työssä esitetty malleja, joilla tehokkuutta voidaan parantaa.
Työssä on huomioitu niitä mahdollisuuksia, jotka mahdollistavat kehittämistä ja tuottavat rahallista hyötyä, että auttavat ymmärtämään tuotanto-omaisuuden hallinnan merkitystä. Kehittyminen on jatkuva prosessi, jossa kehittymiseen vaaditaan uusien mittareiden, arvojen ja tuloksien parantamista tai muuttamista. Sahalla on paljon kehitettävää, näihin kohteisiin opinnäytetyössä on esitetty vaihtoehtoja.

The Aim of this thesis was to create Veitsiluoto Sawmill a system where maintenance operations are part of the production process. This work aims to identify the measures that can be used to maximize the production occurring during the maintenance. These measures will to lift the saw capacity utilization rate to 80% level.
The assignments and lectures of degree program theory has been used in parts of Technology Competence Management. My own knowledge and skills have been used to resolve problems. In information retrieval a number of different source types have been utilized. The accuracy of the data has been compared to the previously learned information or otherwise verified the source. The Material for the thesis was collected in the long term. The Saw mill’s documentation and reports are used in the implementation.
The data contains such information which allows Veitsiluoto Sawmill to achieve the target utilization rate and to continue the development of activities. In addition, it is shown how the policies can be introduced and developed. The implementation tries designed to attract the reader's attention to his/her own ability to influence the level of activity improvement. This Thesis also shows in models where efficiency can be improved.
This Thesis takes into account the possibilities that enable development and generate financial gain. The development is a continuous process, which requires the development of new indicators, values, and the results of the improvement or modification. Veitsiluoto Sawmill has a lot to improve, but also the thesis is presents alternatives for the future.

Dexrazoxane for anthracycline extravasation
No full textAccidental extravasation of anthracycline-containing anticancer chemotherapy is a feared complication that may lead to progressive tissue damage. The condition may require extensive surgical intervention and often has severe long-term effects. Until a short while ago, there has been no effective treatment against the devastating effect of extravasated anthracycline. However, dexrazoxane has proven highly effective in preventing necrosis in both preclinical and clinical studies and is now approved in Europe (Savene), and has orphan drug status in the USA (Totect) for this indication. Hence, it is the first and only proven effective antidote against anthracycline extravasation injuries.</p

The accidental leakage of cytostatic agents into the perivascular tissues may have devastating short-term and long-term consequences for patients. In recent years, the increased focus on chemotherapy extravasation has led to the development of international guidelines that have proven useful tools in daily clinical practice.
