No full textIntroduction One of the first methods to compute quasi-periodic orbits (i. e. invariant tori with linear motions on them) was the Lindstedt method (see [12] Vol. 2) which produces an expansion of the quasi-periodic orbit with a fixed frequency in powers of a small parameter measuring the distance to integrability. The convergence of these expansions is rather delicate because they involve small divisors. The convergence was finally established using KAM theory when the quasi-periodic solutions involve as many independent frequencies as degrees of freedom of the system (and the frequencies satisfy a Diophantine condition). A more recent development is the proof of KAM theorem using directly the compensations in the Lindstedt series (see [3], [5], [2] and the lectures of Gallavotti in this proceedings). Toiminnan tuoma tuki nuorten elämässä
No full textVerstas on Tampereella toimivan Sopimusvuori ry Nuorten toimintakeskus. Toiminta on tarkoitettu nuorille aikuisille. Nuoret ovat Verstaalla sosiaalisessa kuntoutuksessa tai kuntouttavassa työtoiminnassa. Verstaan toiminta perustuu monipuoliseen ryhmätoimintaan. Verstaan tavoitteena on löytää nuorelle sopiva tulevaisuuden suunta elämässä.
Opinnäytetyö tutkii miten toiminta vaikuttaa nuorten elmässä Verstaan ulkopuolella. Tutkimusta tehtiin kyselyllä ja haastatteluilla. Kyselylomakkeiden avulla selvitettiin kuinka tärkeänä Verstaalla olevaa toimintaa nuoret pitää omassa elämässään ja onko toimintaa riittävästi, jotta siitä olisi hyötyä. Lisäksi haastatteluiden avulla selvitettiin nuorten kokemuksia siitä, miten he näkevät toiminnan vaikuttavan heidän arkeensa. Haastattelussa kysyttiin nuorilta myös sitä, miten tai mitä asioita heidän mielestään olisi hyvä käydä läpi.
Verstaan tavoitteena on, että nuori pääsee elämässään eteenpäin. Täten on tärkeää selvittää, millainen toiminnan vaikuttavuus on nuorten näkökulmasta. Tutkimustulosten pohjalta voidaan arvioida sitä, mitkä tekijät Verstaan toiminnassa ovat nuorten elämää tukevia tällä hetkellä, ja osaltaan myös sitä, mitä toiminnan kehityksessä tulisi ottaa huomioon tulevaisuudessa.
Tutkmustuloksissa korostui erityiseti nuorten erilaiset tarpeet. Nuorten toisistaan poikkeavat kokemukset ja mielipiteet tulivat esiin erityisesti toteutetussa kyselyssä. Toisaalta tämä oli myös odotettavissa, sillä kyselyyn osallistuneet nuoret ovat taustoitaan ja elämäntilanteiltaan erilaisia. Tulos tuo merkittävää vahvistusta sille, että kuntouttavan työtoiminnan ja järjestötyön tulee olla monipuolista ja monimenetelmällistä, jotta se tuottaa toivottua tukea nuorille.
Nuorten erilaiset tarpeet korotuivat myös tutkimuksen haastatteluissa. Lisäksi nuoret kokivat, että he tarvitsevat lisää tukea erilaisten työ-ja opiskelumahdollisuuksien kartoittamiseen. Myös Verstaan jälkeinen elämä pohditutti monia haastateltavia

approximants to model their natural boundaries. We show that if the rotation number is a Diophantine number close to a rational value p/q, then the radius of convergence of the Lindstedt series becomes smaller than the critical threshold for the corresponding Kol’mogorov-Arnol’d-Moser curve, and the natural boundary on the plane of the complexified perturbative parameter acquires a flowerlike shape with 2q petals

Periodic solutions of strongly quadratic non-linear oscillators by the elliptic Lindstedt-Poincaré method
No full textThe elliptic Lindstedt-Poincaré method is used/employed to study the periodic solutions of quadratic strongly non-linear oscillators of the form ẍ + c1x + c2x2 = ε f(x,. ẋ), in which the Jacobian elliptic functions are employed instead of the usual circular functions in the classical Lindstedt-Poincaré method. The generalized Van de Pol equation with f(x, ẋ) = μ0 + μ1x - μ2x2 is studied in detail.
