Solving the Author Problem of \ue2Dream of the Red Chamber\ue2 with the Writing Style Indicator
The question of whether the number of authors of \ue2Dream of the Red Chamber\ue2 is only one or not has been discussed extensively since 1750. To clarify the number of authors of the book, in this thesis, we take some ideas of previous studies and conduct experiments with machine learning classifiers with various features (word count, word frequency, sentence pattern, change points, etc.). Finally, we find that feature selection is more important than a classifier itself.
We figure out the property for revealing the nature of the writing habits of different authors, and formulating the writing style categories. We use CkipTagger of Academia Sinica in Taiwan to break words and give word-based labels, and then organize 61 kinds of words into 45 writing style categories. Our writing style categories could correctly distinguish the same type of books of different authors, but it is difficult to distinguish the same type of books of the same author. This result means that our writing style categories could correctly analyze the writing styles and distinguish the habits of different authors. In addition, to test the effectiveness of the writing style categories, we apply SVM (support vector machine) classifier and Tanimoto similarity to the experiments on the same type of books of the same author. The result shows that the writing style categories is more stable than other features. Then we perform three experiments of the same author from same books, the same author from different books, and different authors. These are carried out for 42 control group novels. Then the corresponding SVM accuracy and Tanimoto value range are obtained as the writing style indicator. Finally, we perform the same experiments on the first 80 episodes and the last 40 episodes of \ue2Dream of the Red Chamber\ue2. According to the experimental results, we conclude that the question of whether there is one or more than one authors in the entire book of \ue2Dream of the Red Chamber\ue2 is inconclusive. We cannot prove that there is only one author, and we cannot prove that there are multiple authors either.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to analyze the net joint forces, moments and powers on the upper extremities of the elite players during the flat service movement. In this study, we are interested in analyzing from the phase of the period before and after the point of making contact with the ball. Four elite collegiate players in Taiwan were served as subjects. Their mean age, height and weight were respectively 20.3 years, 184.0cm and 78.9kg. The upper extremity of the subject was separated into three segments, upper arm, forearm and racket (with fist included). The body segment parameters of each subject were calculated by a mathematical model of truncated elliptical cone and calibrate by reaction board and water displacement methods. A Kodak Ekta-Pro 1000 high-speed video camera (500Hz) was used to record the 2D kinematics data. The inverse dynamics solution was employed calculate the forces, moments and powers of the upper segment joints. From these data, we can understand the power balance within the segments.
The results were concluded as follows:
1. The mathematical model of truncated elliptical cone employed in this study present a very useful and accurate method for the calculation of body segment parameters.
2. By analyzing the acceleration stage of the tennis serve, the net joint forces, net joint moments and power simultaneously attained peak values at the time of contact.
3. The wrist joint has the greatest angular velocity, angular acceleration and joint power during the contact phase.
4. From the analysis of the motion of the upper extremities, it is realized that regular training on the elbow flexor will reduce likelihood of injury due to stress the flexor through eccentric contraction during acceleration phase.
