Análise das forças indutoras do desmatamento no estado do Amapá
Get PDFHistorically the state of Amapá has low rates of deforestation, due to this fact, there are few studies related to the subject. The state is in the initial stage of forest transition process, but it has the same conditions of other Amazonian regions that suffer from the border cycle. Under this approach, this study aimed to analyze the forest transition process in the state of Amapá, identifying the main inducing factors that led and that can lead land use changes and the main government measures have developed to prevent deforestation through the valuation and payment for environmental services. The research methodology involved three steps, the first step aimed to analyze the scenario of deforestation through extensive research in official monitoring bodies (INPE and SEMA/AP), consulting documents provided to the State and previous studies. Later, in a second step was identified the induction factors to deforestation, from a correlation analysis was possible to obtain the degree of influence of each factor in deforestation rates issued by the PRODES project. At this stage, it was also performed statistical analysis of TerraClass project data with the aim of mapping the land use changes. The third stage aimed to identify the main existing legal provisions in the state of Amapá to be integrated into a policy of incentives and increase the provision of environmental services based on the REDD + mechanism. It was observed that deforestation rates in the state of Amapá has further declined in recent years due to factors such as command and control policies and may also be associated with the appreciation of the Acai - Euterpe oleracea after the verticalization of the production chain. The state has a small clearings profile caused mostly by family agriculture, low herd relationship and deforested area, and a large index of abandoned areas, indicating that agricultural production incentive policies may be practiced without the need for further cleared areas. Based on the results and experiences observed in other places, it is clear that the State has a key role in the containment of deforestation inducing the development of productive chains coupled with the implementation of a REDD + Jurisdictional system.Historicamente o estado do Amapá apresenta baixas taxas de desmatamento e, em decorrência deste fato, existem poucos estudos relacionados ao assunto. O Estado encontra-se no estágio inicial do processo de transição florestal, porém apresenta as mesmas condições de outras regiões amazônicas que sofrem com o ciclo de fronteira. Sob este enfoque, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar o processo de transição florestal no Estado do Amapá, identificando os principais fatores de indução que levaram, os que podem levar as mudanças de uso do solo e as principais medidas governamentais que têm sido desenvolvidos para evitar o desmatamento por meio da valoração e pagamento dos serviços ambientais. A metodologia de pesquisa envolveu três etapas, a primeira etapa visou analisar o cenário do desmatamento por meio de uma ampla pesquisa nos órgãos oficiais de monitoramento (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais e Secretária de Meio Ambiente do Amapá), documentos de consultorias prestadas ao Estado e estudos já realizados. Posteriormente, na segunda etapa foram identificados os fatores de indução ao desmatamento e, a partir de uma análise de correlação foi possível obter o grau de influência de cada fator nas taxas de desmatamento emitidas pelo projeto PRODES. Nesta etapa, também foi realizada análise estatística dos dados do projeto TerraClass com intuito de traçar as mudanças do uso do solo. A terceira etapa visou identificar os principais dispositivos legais vigentes no estado do Amapá que devem ser integrados em uma política de incentivo e aumento da provisão do serviços ambientais baseada no mecanismo de REDD+. Observou-se que as taxas de desmatamento no Estado do Amapá tem declinado ainda mais nos últimos anos, devido a fatores como políticas de comando e controle e também pode estar associada a valorização do Açaí - Euterpe oleraceae após a verticalização de sua cadeia produtiva. O Estado apresenta um perfil de pequenos desmatamentos causados em sua maioria pelas atividades da agricultura familiar, baixa relação de rebanho e área desmatada, e um grande índice de áreas abandonadas, indicando que políticas de incentivo à produção agropecuária podem ser praticadas sem a necessidade de novas áreas desmatadas. Diante dos resultados obtidos e de experiências observadas em outras localidades, percebe-se que o Estado possui um papel fundamental na contenção do desmatamento por meio da indução ao desenvolvimento das cadeias produtivas aliada a implantação de um sistema de REDD+ Jurisdicional
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
