Polynomial expansions of single-mode motions around equilibrium points in the circular restricted three-body problem
In this work, the single-mode motions around the collinear and triangular libration points in the circular restricted three-body problem are studied. To describe these motions, we adopt an invariant manifold approach, which states that a suitable pair of independent variables are taken as modal coordinates and the remaining state variables are expressed as polynomial series of them. Based on the invariant manifold approach, the general procedure on constructing polynomial expansions up to a certain order is outlined. Taking the Earth–Moon system as the example dynamical model, we construct the polynomial expansions up to the tenth order for the single-mode motions around collinear libration points, and up to order eight and six for the planar and vertical-periodic motions around triangular libration point, respectively. The application of the polynomial expansions constructed lies in that they can be used to determine the initial states for the single-mode motions around equilibrium points. To check the validity, the accuracy of initial states determined by the polynomial expansions is evaluated

Adaptive Fuzzy Decentralized Output Feedback Control of Large-Scale Systems With Sensor Faults: A Multichannel Asynchronous Triggering Approach
This article proposes an adaptive fuzzy decentralized output-feedback control scheme for large-scale systems with multichannel asynchronous event triggering. Uncertain system dynamics, unknown interconnections, and time-varying sensor faults are handled simultaneously, even though only the corrupted measured local output is available for the design procedure. First, local state estimation filters are designed to estimate the unmeasured states. Then, considering that the resource-limited communication and computation may exist in all three types of channels, including state estimation filter-to-controller channel, parameter estimator-to-controller channel, and controller-to-actuator channel, an asynchronous event-triggering framework with time-varying triggering threshold is developed for multiple channels to release the communication and computation burden. Compared with the existing synchronous triggering mechanism, the proposed asynchronous one has several advantages: 1) the redundant signal transmission is reduced; 2) the triggering conditions for different channels are uncorrelated, which enables the designer to adjust the signal transmission frequency of each channel independently; and 3) the robustness could be improved in the face of noise as ideal synchronous triggering is not easy to be achieved in practice. In addition, both gain and bias faults, which are allowed to be unknown and time varying, are covered in a unified sensor fault model. It is proved that, with the proposed control scheme, all the closed-loop signals are semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded, and the output tracking error converges into an adjustable residual set without Zeno behavior. Finally, simulation and comparison results illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed control scheme
Massekhet Keritot. Text, Translation and Commentary. A Feminist Commentary on the Babylonian Talmud
The tractate Keritot of the Babylonian Talmud belongs to the Order of Qodashim in the Mishnah. It discusses the Temple and its rituals, especially sacrifices, but deals mostly with laws of incest, sexual transgressions, childbirth, and miscarriages. In this commentary, Federico Dal Bo provides a historical, philological and philosophical investigation on these gender issues. He discusses almost the entire tractate, referring to many other sources, Jewish (the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Sifra, and other rabbinic texts) as well as non-Jewish (Akkadian, Hittite, and Ugaritic). The author also provides accurate philological observations both on the Mishnah and the Gemara. Finally, he addresses gender issues by combining a reductionistic approach to Talmudic study (the so called "Brisker method") with philosophical deconstruction. Dal Bo shows that in nearly the entire tractate Keritot the rabbis discuss human sexuality in a tendentious and restrictive way, claiming that heterosexuality is the only proper sexual contact and progressively stigmatizing any other kind of sexual behavior
