Frances L. Goodrich memorial by Lucy Morgan
This memorial to Frances L. Goodrich was written by Lucy Morgan shortly after Goodrich's death in 1944. The memorial appears to have been read by Morgan, most likely at the memorial service sponsored by the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild where several of the founding members spoke of Goodrich's contributions to the craft movement. In this memorial, Morgan tells of Goodrich's spirited and youthful enthusiasm about mountain crafts, Goodrich's ultimate gift of Allanstand Cottage Industries to the Guild in 1931, and the service of Goodrich, Morgan, and Clementine Douglas on the standards committee of the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild in the 1930s and 1940s
