    학위논문(석사) - 한국과학기술원 : 미래자동차학제전공, 2023.2,[vii, 71 p. :]Visual localization is essential for many applications, including AR/VR, robots, and self-driving cars. Traditional methods use large memory and processing resources to estimate the camera position in absolute and relative terms. It gave rise to a new pattern of finding the pose using learning-based methods, i.e., pose regressors. Existing relative camera pose estimation techniques rely solely on balancing hyperparameter tuning manually or automatically in the loss function. On the other hand, current absolute pose regressors generally lack the quality to adapt to different domains of the same scene. In this work, we primarily address these two issues. First, estimating the relative camera position between a pair of images is formulated using a two-stage training strategy that eliminates the need for compensating hyperparameters in the loss function. Our proposed training strategy drastically improved the translation vector estimation by 16.11%, 28.88%, and 52.27% on the KingsCollege, OldHospital, and StMarysChurch scenes, respectively. To demonstrate texture invariance, we explore the generalization of the proposed method by extending the datasets to different scene styles for ablation and qualitative studies using Generative Adversarial Networks(GAN). Second, we offer a novel lightweight domain adaptive training framework to retrain any existing absolute pose regressors(APR) to improve their generalization capability. Our lightweight network outperforms the transformer in translation vector estimation on the visual localization benchmark dataset. The results show that despite using about 24 times fewer FLOPs, 12 times fewer activations, and five times fewer parameters than state-of-the-art MS-Transformer, our approach outperforms all CNN-based architectures and achieves comparable performance to transformer-based architectures. Our method achieves ranks 2nd and 4th with the Cambridge Landmarks and 7Scenes datasets, respectively. Moreover, our approach outperforms and ranks 1st over the MS -transformer on unseen domains.     Photocatalysis process in pollution control applications has concerned considerable attention given the increasing seriousness of environmental challenges including water, air, and soil. The present review of state-of-the-art research focuses on the current research trends in the development and application of transition metal oxides [TMOs]-based photocatalysis systems to improve the removal trends of organic pollutants from wastewater and photocatalytic mechanisms. For easy understanding, the up-to-date progress in the construction and design of heterojunction systems such as Type I/Type II heterojunction, p-n heterojunction, p-n-p heterojunction, Z-scheme heterojunction, and C-scheme heterojunction have been defined in detail into four categories based on the TMOs composition and mode of application. This review focuses on the detailed assessment of supported and suspended catalysts, their specific need, methodologies for performance evaluation, and the main factors that influence the removal mechanism. In addition, all the possible advanced and fundamental mechanisms of dye degradation, especially azo dye, triphenylmethane, and indigo dye with different categories of catalysts, are summarized. The current challenges and researcher’s approaches on how they successfully solve the drawbacks as well as future research trends in TMOs-based photocatalytic systems are discussed

    In this work, we report on p-Phenylenediamine (PPD) functionalized reduced graphene oxide (rG0)/Si hybrid-structure designed for UV photodetector applications (PD). The hybrid-structure was characterized by using Fourier Transform-infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to confirm the formation of nano-hybrid structure and the experimental results confirmed the covalent bond between rGO and PPD. The diode parameters such as barrier height, series resistance, and ideality factor were estimated for both PPD functionalized rGO (PrGO)/Si and rGO/Si heterostructure by using I-V characteristics. The time-resolved photocurrent spectroscopy used to examine the photoresponse properties of both PrGO/Si and rGO/Si samples with UV light (lambda = 382 nm). The experimental results showed that PrGO/Si exhibited significant UV photoresponse than that of rGO/Si PD. The PrGO/Si heterostructure device exhibited photoresponsivity of 1.4 x 10(-3) A/W, which is 15 times higher than rGO/Si. The high photoresponse was attributed to the synergistic effects originated from the charge transfer between PPD and rGO. The results proved that PrGO is a promising material for high response photodetector applications.
