    Notes on the behaviour of Tachysphex julliani Kohl, 1883, and T. costae (Stephani, 1882) (Hymenoptera, Crabronidae). Ethological observations are described for two species of Hymenoptera Crabronidae, Tachysphex julliani Kohl, 1883, and T. costae (Stephani, 1882), especially : carrying of the preys, duration of different nesting phases, architecture and closing of the burrows, and finally the site, still unknown until this study, of egg-laying on the mantid.Quelques traits éthologiques pour deux espèces d'Hyménoptères Crabronidae, Tachysphex julliani Kohl, 1883, et T. costae (Stephani, 1882), sont décrits, notamment : le transport de la proie, les temps impartis aux quelques phases de la nidification, l'architecture du terrier ainsi que sa fermeture, enfin l''emplacement, encore inconnu, de l'oeuf sur la mante.Gros Edgard. M a t e r i a l e x a m i n e d: ♀: « Ägypten 11803» without further information. Handwritten label « Laphyragogus pictus KOHL n.g. n.sp." (ZMHU). Labelled as holotypus of L. pictus. Israel: ♀ 10.v.19 Palestine, Bat Yam (leg. BYTINSKI- SALZ, det. DE BEAUMONT as L. pictus) (ZMHU). 1 male 7.vi.1995 Beer Sheva, 1 male 10.v. Bat Jam (both coll. SCHLAEFLE). D i a g n o s i s L. pictus belongs to the L. kohlii species group. The male is unique by form of S7. It has a median keel which is apically not raised as in L. strakai. Maidl (Natural History Museum Vienna)) has compared her ♀ from Ethiopia with a cotype. GUICHARD (1988: 128) revived the specific status of <i>Ammophila erminea</i> based only on material of the Natural History Museum in London identified by J. de Beaumont. DOLLFUSS (2013: 428) designated the lectotype (Egypt, 1 ♀ 1858, Natterer). J.F Natterer (28.05.1819 – 17.12.1862) collected in today’s Sudan and not in Egypt.
