Assessment of the possibility of using lime rock as an aggregate for mortars modified with nanomaterials for repairs in historic buildings
No full textThe aim of the project was to obtain new types of mortars with stone aggregate - lime rock, reinforced with a nanomaterial based on Ca(OH)2 particles for repairs in historical buildings. The tests included the design and implementation of mortars with different proportions of replacing sand with recycled stone aggregate. In the first stage, a new aggregate was produced and its physical properties were tested, including basic mechanical parameters, resistance to frost corrosion and salts soluble in water. The initial research material was calcareous rock obtained from recycling. In the second stage of the research, mortars were designed and made with the proportions of replacing sand with recycled stone aggregate: 10%, 20%, 30%, respectively. Newly designed mortar mixes have been tested for their performance as repair mortars for historic materials. In order to improve the properties and increase the durability of the newly designed mortars, strengthening treatments with a dispersion of Ca(OH)2 nanoparticles were performed. The last, third stage of the project included physico-mechanical tests of mortars and assessment of the effectiveness of nanomaterial reinforcement. Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that the applied nanolime improved the surface properties of the mortar base. The proposed application procedure may be a suitable alternative to the widely used products based on tetraethoxysilane. The non-material provided a good consolidation effect while creating good chemical properties and physical compatibility with the limestone substrate. The data included relate to the obtained data: mineralogical and elemental composition, microscopic observations, mechanical strength, adhesion to the substrate, porosity, resistance to frost corrosion, for the tested mortars.Celem projektu było otrzymanie nowych typów zapraw z kruszywem kamiennym - opoką wapnistą, wzmacnianych nanomateriałem na bazie cząsteczek Ca(OH)2 do wykonania napraw w historycznych budynkach. Badania uwzględniały zaprojektowanie i wykonanie zapraw o różnych proporcjach zastępowania piasku przez recyklingowe kruszywo kamienne. W pierwszym etapie wytworzono nowe kruszywo oraz zbadano jego właściwości fizyczne, w tym podstawowe parametry mechaniczne, odporność na korozję mrozową i sole rozpuszczalne w wodzie. Wyjściowym materiałem badawczym była opoka wapnista pozyskana z recyklingu. W drugim etapie badań zaprojektowano i wykonano zaprawy o proporcjach zastępowania piasku przez recyklingowe kruszywo kamienne odpowiednio 10%, 20%, 30%. Nowo projektowane mieszanki zapraw zostały zbadane w zakresie ich wydajności jako zapraw do naprawy historycznych materiałów. W celu polepszenia właściwości i zwiększenia trwałości na nowo projektowanych zapraw, wykonano zabiegi wzmacniania dyspersją nanocząstek Ca(OH)2. Ostatni trzeci etap projektu obejmował badania fizyko-mechaniczne zapraw oraz ocenę skuteczności wzmacniania nanomateriałem. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników można stwierdzić, że zastosowane nanowapno, poprawiło właściwości powierzchniowe podłoża zapraw. Zaproponowana procedura aplikacji, może stanowić odpowiednią alternatywę dla szeroko stosowanych produktów na bazie tetraotoksysilanu. Nonamateriał zapewnił dobry efekt konsolidacyjny, stwarzając jednocześnie dobre właściwości chemiczne i fizyczną kompatybilność z podłożem wapiennym. Dane zdeponowane w repozytorium zostały skompresowane do folderów w formacie *.zip, w których znajdują się pliki zapisane w formatach *.csv, *.xlsx, *.tiff, *.txt. * jpg. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
