Blister galls on both leaf surfaces of Lycium chinense caused by Aceria kuko (Kishida, 1927). Female: (n= 11) Body worm-like, 160 long, prodorsal shield 30 long, 40 wide, with a protuberance between scapular tubercles, granules at basal center, scapular tubercles set at prodorsal shield rear margin, setae (sc) 22 long, directed backward, sct-sct 23 apart; leg segments normal, foretibial seta (1 ') set at basal one-third, 5 long; 1 st coxal setae (1 b) 9 long, 1 bt- 1 bt 8 apart, 2 nd coxal setae (1 a) 15 long, 1 at- 1 at 6 apart, 3 rd coxal setae (2 a) 21 long, 2 at- 2 at 18 apart; solenidion ending as a knob; empodium simple, 5 rayed. Huang; 4 females, 28 -Jul.- 2004, Fongsan, Kaohsiung; C. S. Ho; ex. Lycium chinense Mill. (Solanaceae). Relation to host: Blister gall protruding from the lower surface of leaf; ostiole opening to lower surface. Note: The author examined slides of A. tjyingi (Manson, 1973), the species found infesting Lycium chinense in Taiwan, and discovered that the admedian lines showed variations in length. The admedian lines varied from base to basal 1 / 4, or to basal 1 / 3, or to one half or complete. This taxon was described by Orhant (2012) as a valid species without comparison with its closest relative A. japonicu s Leech, 1889, and later Dubatolov & Kishida (2013) have suggested that dubatolovi might be a subspecies of japonicus. The detailed comparison of its male genitalia (Figs 23, 24) demonstrated its conspecificity with A. japonicus (Figs 21, 22). Nevertheless, dubatolovi has several morphological differences from A. japonicu s japonicu s therefore, here we treat it as a valid subspecies of A. japonicus. Diagnosis. Agrisius japonicus dubatolovi (Figs 5, 6) is externally very similar to A. japonicu s japonicu s (Figs 1, 2) by grey wing coloration, but differs by the slightly larger size and the somewhat narrower forewing. Both those subspecies are geographically separated by A. j. albida Daniel, 1952, which has whitish wing coloration. The male genitalia of A. japonicus dubatolovi (Figs 23, 24) differ from those of two other subspecies (Figs 21, 22) by the uncus shape, which has the longer dorsal processes of its distal branches (thus, the distance between the apex of the dorsal process and the lobe-like rounded crest is the shortest, compared with other subspecies of A. japonicus), and also by the smaller vinculum and the somewhat longer distal saccular process. Distribution. Neighborhood-Sheaf Semantics for First-Order Modal Logic
AbstractThis paper extends neighborhood semantics for propositional modal logic to the first-order case, by unifying topological-sheaf semantics (in [Awodey, S. and K. Kishida, Topology and modality: the topological interpretation of first-order modal logic, Review of Symbolic Logic 1 (2008), pp. 146–66]) for first-order S4 and Kripke-sheaf semantics (see [Goldblatt, R., “Topoi: The Categorial Analysis of Logic”, North-Holland, Amsterdam and New York, 1979] and [Gabbay, D. M., V. Shehtman and D. Skvortsov, “Quantification in Nonclassical Logic”, Volume 1, Elsevier, Oxford, 2009], just for instance) for quantified K. It will be shown how to take a sheaf-like structure over a neighborhood frame, and the resulting semantics properly generalizes the two preceding sheaf semantics; it has a weaker modal logic (in which the rule N fails) sound and complete, while accommodating classical, full first-order logic with equality and function symbols

Forewing length 11–12.5 mm. Forewing ground color dark yellow (in light color form) or pale brown (in dark color form) with a darkening along costal Vein eXtending beyond discal Vein. Postdiscal band dark brown, reduced into costal dash and often to short dash in hind part of the wing. Forewing dorsum noticeably conVeX in basal half, its outer margin narrowly folded inwards. Hindwing yellow. Male genitalia (Figs. 25–26). Uncus simple, long; distal section of ValVe with straight costal and Ventral margins, apeX broadly rounded from costa to outer margin, but Ventrally slightly rounded; harpe-like fold U-shaped, reached sacculus apeX; distal saccular process short, bulbed subapically, and with apeX curVed dorsally; aedeagus short, moderately broad, Vesica with 3 diVerticula and field of granulation, one of them is wide; Vesica ejaculatorius situated subbasally. Female (Figs. 6, 8). Forewing length 12-14 mm. Forewing ground color dark yellow (in light color form) or pale brown (in dark color form), with a row of 5 black spots of different size and shape, the middle one shifted outwards; hindwings pale yellow. Female genitalia (Fig. 37). OVipositor short and broad; apophyses long and thin, apophyses anteriores slightly longer than apophyses posteriores; ductus bursae short, narrow, membranous, with round, bulbous Ventral plate; corpus bursae long, narrow, pear-like, membranous, with one barshaped signum; appendiX bursae short, bulbous, situated latero-posteriorly. Remarks. The species has two color forms occurring sympatrically. EXternally, male of the new species differs from M. orientalis by the narrower forewing, darker forewing ground color, smaller dark costal dash and presence of a short dash in the hind part of the wing; female differs from M. orientalis by the slightly smaller size and smaller black spots on forewing. The male genitalia structure is similar to that of M. orientalis, but the harpe-like fold is broader, the sacculus apeX is shorter and claw-like curVed, and the apical diVerticulum of Vesica is shorter, less curVed and has no apical spine. The female genitalia differ from those of M. orientalis by the longer apophyses anteriores and posteriores, the much larger postVaginal plate, the corpus bursae shorter and narrower anteriorly, and the larger appendiX bursae. Distribution. The species is widespread in Thailand and Vietnam. Etymology.
