ABSTRACT: The present study evaluated the psychometric properties of the KIDDO-KINDL instrument (Ravens-Sieberer & Bullinger, 1998), which quantifies the quality of life related to health in children and adolescents. In a sample of 377 secondary school students from first to fifth grade, the confirmatory factorial analysis showed that the original internal structure of six factors was not satisfactory in representing the quantified constructs, because it presents dimensional instability concerning the items in the Family, Emotional, Friends and School factors. When applying the factorial analysis we found a structure of four factors. This factorial solution obtained better internal consistency indicators (values between 0.59 and 0.81) in comparison with the original structure (values between 0.24 and 0.80), and higher factorial loads. We discuss the possible changes in the interpretation of KIDDO-KINDL
Standardization of the Czech language version of the KINDL questionnaire
Úvod: Obecná kvalita života jde ruku v ruce s fyzickým a duševním zdravím. Sebehodnocení zdravotního stavu může velmi účinně odhadnout možné psychické problémy či predikovat sebevraždu.
Cíl práce: Vytvořit české jazykové verze dotazníků KINDL children a KINDL parents.
Metody: Obsahová analýza pro vytvoření systematického přehledu literatury podle pravidel PRISMA. Překlad dvou dotazníků z anglického do českého jazyka a uskutečnění prvotní evaluace. Kvantitativní metoda dotazníkového šetření byla použita pro sběr dat k následné statistické analýze, díky které jsme vypočetli psychometrické vlastnosti obou hodnoticích nástrojů.
Výsledky: Kindl parents CVI = 0.83, Kindl children CVI = 0.81. Reliabilita Kindl parents Item RELIABILITY = 0.85 a Kindl children Item RELIABILITY = 0.73. Pearsonův korelační koeficient r = 0.15. Věcná významnost = 2.25 %.
Závěr: Psychometrické vlastnosti obou hodnoticích nástrojů - Kindl parents i Kindl children jsou dostačující, a tak mohou být oba nástroje použity v České republice napříč školkami a dětskými skupinami ke zjišťování psychické pohody dětí v předškolním věku.ObhájenoIntroduction: General quality of life goes hand in hand with physical and mental health. Self-assessment of health status can very effectively predict possible psychological problems or predict suicide.
Aim of the study: To develop Czech language versions of the KINDL children and KINDL parents questionnaires.
Methods: Translation of the two questionnaires from English into Czech and conducting an initial evaluation. The quantitative method of questionnaire survey was used to collect data for subsequent statistical analysis to calculate the psychometric properties of the two assessment instruments.
Results: Kindl parents CVI = 0.83, Kindl children CVI = 0.81. Kindl parents Item Reliability = 0.85 and Kindl children Item Reliability = 0.73. Pearson correlation coefficient r = 0.15. Significance = 2.25%.
Conclusion: The psychometric properties of both assessment instruments - Kindl parents and Kindl children - are sufficient and thus both instruments can be used in the Czech Republic across kindergartens and preschools to determine the psychological well-being of preschool children

Supplementary Material for: Psychometric Properties of a Modified KINDL-R Questionnaire for Adolescents and Adults, and Construction of a Brief Version, the KINDL-A(dult)B(rief) Questionnaire, KINDL-AB
Background/Aims: The generic quality of life KINDL-R questionnaire is validated for use in children/adolescents ≤16 years. The aim of this cross-sectional investigation was to modify the KINDL-R questionnaire for use in adults and to validate its psychometric properties. Methods: Five items of the KINDL-R questionnaire were adapted and the newly developed KINDL-A(dult) questionnaire administered to 255 patients with hereditary and acquired bleeding disorders (mean age 53 years). Its internal consistency and convergent and divergent construct validity were investigated and confirmatory factor analysis was used to evaluate the latent factor structure. Results: The KINDL-A questionnaire showed satisfactory reliability, varying construct validity, but inconclusive factor structure. The KINDL-AB(rief) was developed by removing half of the items and combining 2 sub-axes. This led to factor loadings between 0.62 and 0.91 and increased overall fit (Goodness of fit > 0.8 and Root Mean Square Error of Approximation, RMSEA, 0.95 and RMSEA Conclusions: The new KINDL-AB suggests sufficient to good psychometric properties in adult patients with hereditary and acquired bleeding disorders
VALIDATION AND ANALYSIS OF THE KID-KINDL QUESTIONNAIRE IN MALAYSIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN FROM THE CHILDREN’S PERSPECTIVE
Health-related quality of life (HRQoL), conceptualized as the patient’s evaluations of their health status, is an essential indicator in evaluating health and health care and treating individual patients. The KID-KINDL questionnaire includes four main components: psychological well-being, social relationships, physical functions, and daily activities. This study aims to validate the KID-KINDL questionnaire in the Malay language and measure the HRQOL of Year One students from the children’s perspective. Forward and the Language Centre Universiti Sains Malaysia supervised the backward translation of the KID-KINDL questionnaire. The questionnaire's validation and reliability were assessed with Winstep™ software, using Rasch model statistics. KID-KINDL was applied to 90 Year One students in SK Zainab 2, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Minor changes were made to the questionnaire after being translated. From the misfit item of those questions, the range to infit and outfit is beyond the acceptable scope for the Likert scale (0.6-1.4), and four questions were deleted in the validated version. Following validation, analysis with Rasch model statistics was carried out. This questionnaire will be used for further in-depth studies on children's health-related quality of lif
Factor structure of the Singapore English version of the KINDL® children quality of life questionnaire
Abstract Background Quality of life (QoL) outcomes are useful in the assessment of physical, mental and social well-being and for informed healthcare decision making. However, few studies have evaluated QoL issues among Asian children due largely to the lack of culturally valid and reliable QoL questionnaires. Hence, we aimed to report the psychometric properties, in particular factor structure, of KINDL (Singapore) questionnaires among school-going children. Methods Students aged 8–16 years from participating schools were selected by convenience sampling. Subjects self-completed KINDL-Kid (Singapore) and KINDL-Kiddo (Singapore) questionnaires, which were cross-culturally adapted from KINDL (Germany English) for use in Singapore. We evaluated floor and ceiling effects, internal consistency and performed factor analysis. Results A total of 328 respondents (mean (SD) age: 9.6 (1.31) years; 67% female; 75% Chinese, 16% Malays, 9% Indians and others) completed KINDL-Kid while 1,026 respondents (mean (SD) age: 14.0 (1.00) years; 82% female; 82% Chinese, 12% Malays; 6% Indians and others) completed KINDL-Kiddo. Mean (SD) TOTAL QoL score was 65.5 (12.76) and 56.6 (11.92) for KINDL-Kid and KINDL-Kiddo, respectively. Floor and ceiling effects were important in five of six KINDL-Kid and two of six KINDL-Kiddo subscales. Reliability coefficients ranged from 0.40 to 0.71 (KINDL-Kid) and 0.44 to 0.84 (KINDL-Kiddo). Factor analysis generated eight and seven factors in KINDL-Kid and KINDL-Kiddo, respectively. Conclusion KINDL-Kiddo exhibited good psychometric properties and may be used to assess QoL in this multi-ethnic English-speaking Asian population. However, psychometric properties of KINDL-Kid may need to be improved either by developing new items or modifying existing items.</p
New Design of Karel Kindl Square in Kladno
Karel Kindl Square is located in the northwest part of Kladno. At present, the square is designed as a six-armed roundabout with a large area of circulatory roadway and with an asymmetrical central island on which the memorial to the victims of the Second World War is located. There are several serious issues with the site, such as tangential design and parking of vehicles in the circulatory roadway area. As a result of these problems, the safety of traffic participants at the roundabout is at risk. The diploma thesis deals with the description and analysis of the area of Karl Kindl square in Kladno. The second part describes the design variants. Finally, the last part compares the proposed variant from an economic point of view

Diffusive author(s), cohesive author: Analysis of S/N (1994)
This study indicates the ways in which various aspects of the author(s) are brought forth in Dumb type’s performance art, the S/N production. Previous research has suggested a non-hierarchical organization of Dumb type and the absence of a “privileged author” in Dumb type’s collaborative work, S/N. However, the results that I have investigated from member’s interviews on the creative process of S/N along with my analysis of the recorded images of S/N, indicate a different aspect of the author(s). First, S/N was created through, so to speak, the collective ideas of the members of Dumb type. Further, S/N has at least nine quotations from previous performances, installations, and printed writings, besides the work-in-progress technique. Explicating one of the “author functions” as given by Michel Foucault, each text has plural subjects of the author. However, it has been revealed from members’ interviews that Teiji Furuhashi had a decision-making role in selecting the members’ ideas within the performance. Since then, S/N has had plural subjects of creation; however, Furuhashi is one of the subjects of creation along with the “privileged author.” S/N has plural authors (diffusive authors) yet at the same time, it has a “privileged author,” Teiji Furuhashi (cohesive author)
