Preparation of Fox Valley Technical College faculty for multicultural education
Includes bibliographical references.The purpose of this study was to determine the level of preparedness of Fox Valley Technical College faculty for multicultural education. The demographics of the district population were changing rapidly, and faculty must be prepared to meet the needs of multicultural students. A survey was administered to full- and part-time faculty of Fox Valley Technical College. The survey was intended to collect data about levels of education and experience, perceived training needs, level of comfort with multicultural education and level of interest in further training. The data gathered was analyzed to determine the need for future training, training subjects, and the training formats preferred by faculty. The results of this research provide a basis on which to build future professional growth training at Fox Valley Technical College. The training for faculty will ensure higher success for both faculty and students
INFRARED ABSORPTION SPECTRUM OF AT 9050
Supported by NASA Contract NAS7-100. Kenneth Fox is NRC-NASA Resident Research Associate, on leave from The University of Tennessee. K. T. Hecht, J. Mol. Spectry, 5, 355 (1960).Author Institution: Space Sciences Division, Jet Propulsion LaboratoryA high resolution infrared absorption spectrum is presented for the region of the R branch of the second overtone of the triply degenerate fundamental of . Comparisons are made between the tetrahedral fine structure splittings in this spectrum, in the spectra of and of and of , and in the theoretical dominant $approximation.^{1}
IFAS Assessment of Non-native Plants in Florida's Natural Areas: Status Assessment
Revised! SS-AGR-225, a 14-page publication by Alison M. Fox, Doria R. Gordon, Joan A. Dusky, Linda Tyson, Randall K. Stocker, Kenneth A. Langeland, and Aimee L. Cooper, is the component of the IFAS Assessment that provides evaluations of plants that currently occur within Florida. designed to identify those non-native plant species that are invasive in areas of Florida where designated management objectives include the conservation of native biodiversity. Includes references. Published by the UF Department of Agronomy, April 2009.

Allotment gardens as a challenge for an urban designer
Irrespective of their specific form or of the way they are managed, urban allotment gardens and other urban gardens are important types of urban green spaces, able to influence, to contribute overall quality of cities. Particularly if part of broader green infrastructures, UAG may integrate positively within the complex inner metabolism of metropolitan areas. In particular the 10th chapter of the book, in which the author contributed actively, focus on the challenges and characteristics of urban agriculture practices in the city and the role of urban design and planning disciplines in order to ensure a better socio-spatial development
Book Review: Andrew R. Murphy, William Penn, A Life (New York: Oxford Universit Press, 2019)
William Penn (1644-1718) needs little introduction among Quakers. After his convincement in the mid-1660s Penn quickly rose through the Quaker ranks as a prolific author, capable debater, and a staunch advocate for religious freedom. Beginning in 1681, he became a colonizer and traveled widely to recruit emigrants to his colony. While Penn is often touted among Friends, and sometimes reviled for his slave-owning and colonialism, Andrew R. Murphy does a great service in producing a comprehensive biography of Penn that is free from both the ahistorical anxieties and accolades Quakers sometimes resort to when considering this controversial figure. Indeed, Murphy’s book, William Penn, A Life, shows how controversial Penn was among the Quakers of his own day and in British society in general

Spectry. 9, 381 (1962).Author Institution: Space Sciences Division Jet Propulsion Laboratory; Physics Department, The University of TennesseeA high resolution () infrared absorption spectrum, obtained using a multi-pass absorption cell and a scanning Ebert spectrometer, is presented for the region in which the combination band of methane is expected to appear. A well-defined Q- and R-branch is observed. The R-branch consists of fine structure components in groups separated by about 10 to . An analysis of the R-branch is made, assuming it belongs to , and an explanation based on a successful analysis of other methane bands is given for the unexpectedly regular structure. The fine structure components arising from tetrahedral vibration-rotation interactions are examined and compared with other bands of methane
