V sklopu politike podjetja opredelimo poslanstvo, smotre in temeljne cilje proučevanega podjetja. V nadaljevanju zapišemo interesne potenciale notranjih in zunanjih udeležencev podjetja KAR bar, s. p., ter opredelimo strategije in strukture proučevanega podjetja. It is important for companies to develop in all fields, this way they stay competitive and successful. This is an author's accepted manuscript of a chapter published by Springer Singapore in Kar, N., Kar, S.K., Arafat, S.M.Y. (eds) Climate Change, Disaster and Mental Health in South Asia. South Asian Perspectives in Mental Health and Psychology. Available online: https://doi.org/10.1007/978-981-95-3690-0_1 The accepted manuscript may differ from the final published version. For re-use please see Springer's terms and conditions. The South Asia region is diverse in its geography, climate, culture, economic status, and sociopolitical history. It experiences frequent disasters, from extreme weather events to human-caused catastrophes. It has massive vulnerabilities regarding the number of people affected, inadequate disaster preparedness, scarce resources for disaster response, and meagre psychological support for the affected population. Studies suggest that a large proportion of disaster survivors present with psychiatric disorders and need professional support. It is essential to study the risk factors associated with post-disaster mental health morbidities and explore the methods to manage the disorders that are affecting a large number of people. It is pertinent to review the research findings and reflect on the areas that need further study. Managing disasters needs a multidisciplinary and multilevel approach with robust regional coordination and support. This chapter identifies the major catastrophic events in the eight South Asian countries, the extent of mental health vulnerabilities, the mental health impact of disasters in the region, and potential ways ahead for mitigating the mental health impact due to disasters

Diffusive author(s), cohesive author: Analysis of S/N (1994)

    No full text
This study indicates the ways in which various aspects of the author(s) are brought forth in Dumb type’s performance art, the S/N production. Previous research has suggested a non-hierarchical organization of Dumb type and the absence of a “privileged author” in Dumb type’s collaborative work, S/N. However, the results that I have investigated from member’s interviews on the creative process of S/N along with my analysis of the recorded images of S/N, indicate a different aspect of the author(s). First, S/N was created through, so to speak, the collective ideas of the members of Dumb type. Further, S/N has at least nine quotations from previous performances, installations, and printed writings, besides the work-in-progress technique. Explicating one of the “author functions” as given by Michel Foucault, each text has plural subjects of the author. However, it has been revealed from members’ interviews that Teiji Furuhashi had a decision-making role in selecting the members’ ideas within the performance. Since then, S/N has had plural subjects of creation; however, Furuhashi is one of the subjects of creation along with the “privileged author.” S/N has plural authors (diffusive authors) yet at the same time, it has a “privileged author,” Teiji Furuhashi (cohesive author)

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

THE MANIFESTATION OF HEALTH-CONSCIOUSNESS IN FOOD PREFERENCE AND CONSUMPTION AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE ACCORDING TO AN EMPIRIC STUDY

In our study we set out to find answers to the question of how today’s secondary schools students in Hungary assessed certain food products. We examined in the target group also the development of relationship between the preference of a certain product and its assessment from the health point of view. We assumed that both the preference and assessment of food for its effects on health were not only influenced by the gender of consumers but also by the type of the school attended and to a large extent by the development level of the region of domicile. In conclusion, young people had shown some signs of awareness of what is healthy eating and they had been able to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy foodstuffs, but their consumption was still significantly dominated by what they considered to be pleasant food. A possible consequence of this finding is that nearly a quarter of young people and a third of boys consider themselves suffering from overweight.
