Experimental Investigations on Strength Characteristics of High Performance Concrete Using Silica Fume and Superplasticizer

    No full text
For several decades, concrete has been the most widely used construction material. Though conventional concrete CC performs very well under normal conditions, in special situations a very high compressive strength of concrete is necessary together with sustainability to aggressive environments. Hence, higher compressive strength of range 60 140 MPa is essential. The concrete mixes so far were designed only for strength and workability requirements. For the performance of long satisfactory life, the designed mixes should be checked and proved for their durability properties such as low permeability, high corrosion resistance, freezing and thawing resistance, fire existence etc. This necessitates a detailed study on High performance concrete HPC . This paper formulates a simplified mix design procedure for HPC by combining BIS and ACI code methods of mix design and available literatures on HPC. Based on the above procedure M80 and M100 mixes are arrived at. These HPC mixes are tested experimentally for compression, split tension, flexure and workability. The performance of the designed mixes is very good and the results are reported in this paper. Dr. K. Perumal | S. Senthilkumar | K. Defensing Confidentiality During Complete Packet Inspection On A Middlebox

    No full text
In Internet to encrypt traffic, HTTPS provides secure and private data communication between clients and servers. Network operators often deploy middleboxes to perform deep packet inspection DPI to detect attacks using techniques ranging from simple keyword matching to more advanced machine learning and data mining analysis. But this approach cannot protect users' private information from a service provider who deploys middleboxes. SPABox, a middlebox based system that supports both keyword based and data analysis based DPI functions over encrypted traffic. SPABox preserves privacy by using a novel protocol with a limited connection setup overhead. In this paper to further improve the performance, we are working on the network performance requirements. Ferrocene-quinoxaline Y-shaped chromophores as fascinating second-order NLO building blocks for long lasting highly active SHG polymeric films

    No full text
The first example of a Y-shaped ferrocene quinoxaline derivative with a surprisingly high and stable second harmonic generation (SHG) response in composite polymeric films is reported. The interesting quadratic hyperpolarizability values of different substituted Y-shaped chromophores are also investigated in solution by the EFISH technique

Statistical Measures to Test the Stability of Face Recognition Approach: Duplicating Human Faces based on Cross-correlation Study

    No full text
This literature work suggests a novel approach for rearranging train set developed by us. The rearrangement of train set is based on cross-correlation study of facial images of individual subjects. The new approach, tried five factual human face acknowledgment techniques with standard and Senthilkumar, face databases. Further, the stability of our proposed method tested with different statistical measures such as rank, kurtosis, mean, median, mode and skewness using large face database FERET. The experimental results show that, our approach of rearranging train sets certainly improves recognition accuracy compared to traditional approaches

Design and Detection of Underground Cable Fault Using Raspberry Pi and IoT System

    No full text
This paper proposes fault location model for underground power cable using raspberry pi and the Internet of Things which is based on the internet, which means the information will be transferred through the internet access. The aim of this method is to determine the distance of underground cable fault from base station in kilometres and also find the location of that faulty place. This paper uses the simple concept of Current Transformer Theory CT Theory . When any fault like short circuit occurs, voltage drop will vary depending on the length of fault in cable since the current varies Current Transformer is used to calculate the varying current. The signal conditioner manipulates the change in voltage and a microcontroller is used to make the necessary calculations so that the fault distance is displayed by IOT devices. These fault details are after sent to any access point through the internet and displayed. Mr. M. Dinesh | Mr. K. Vairaperumal | Mr. P. Medicinal plants have had a crucial role in human culture and civilization. The present study deals with the Gas Chromatography Mass Spectroscopy analysis of Boerhaavia diffusa, Euphorbia hirta and Amaranthus polygonoides, which have various medicinal properties. The aim of this study was to investigate and characterize the chemical composition of the different crude aqueous extracts of these plant samples using PerkinElmer Gas Chromatography'Mass Spectrometry. Our results show that the compounds in the extract revealed by GC MS were the same as recorded in the National Institute of Standards and Technology NIST library. The identity and quantity of the measured active compounds was correlated with the expected therapeutic effects. The content of active principles was determined. The quantity of the active principles in the plants was also determined. R. Ezhilarasi | Dr. B. Senthilkumar | Dr. K.
