Ankyloglossia, rare anomaly of tongue in adults: A case study
Tongue-tie, or ankyloglossia, is poorly defined and involves a short, thick, fibrosed, or fixed lingual frenulum. Ankyloglossia has been reported to cause feeding difficulties, dysarthria, dyspnea, and social or mechanical problems. Ankyloglossia occurs in 1.7% of all neonates. As age advances, frenulum grows in length and normal function is established. Frenulectomy is recommended if it persists. We have also come across with the case of Tongue Tie in one of our patient. He is 19 years in age pursuing his graduation. He has got tongue tie which is persisting since birth.A. S. Ankur, B. Pradeep, N. Satyanarayana, K. Ruchi, K.Varun, K. Neha, P. Sunitha, N.Redd
Radio Heronian Mean k-Graceful Labeling on Degree Splitting of Graphs
A mapping g:V\left(G\right)\rightarrow{k,k+1,\ldots,k+N-1} is a radio heronian mean k-labeling such that if for any two distinct vertices s and t of G, d\left(s,t\right)+\left\lceil\frac{g\left(s\right)+g\left(t\right)+\sqrt{g\left(s\right)g\left(t\right)}}{3}\right\rceil\geq1+D,for every s,t\in\ V(G), where D is the diameter of G. The radio heronian mean k-number of g, {rrhmn}_k(g), is the maximum number assigned to any vertex of G. The radio heronian mean number of G, {rhmn}_k(g), is the minimum value of {rhmn}_k(g) taken overall radio heronian mean labelings g of G. If {rhmn}_k(g)=\left|V\left(G\right)\right|+k-1, we call such graphs as radio heronian mean k-graceful graphs. In this paper, we investigate the radio heronian mean k-graceful labeling on degree splitting of graphs such as comb graph P_n\bigodot K_1, rooted tree graph {RT}_{n,n} hurdle graph {Hd}_n and twig graph\ {TW}_n.A mapping is a radio heronian mean k-labeling such that if for any two distinct vertices and of , ,for every V(G), where is the diameter of . Optimization of medium components for phytase production by E. coli using response surface methodology
The medium for recombinant phytase production by E. coli BL21 was optimized using response surface methodology. A 23 central composite experimental design was used to study the combined effect of the medium components, tryptone, yeast extract and NaCl. Addition of 2 g/l glucose to the medium greatly influenced the phytase production. The optimization of the medium has increased the phytase production by 1.2 times. The incorporation of 2 g/l glucose significantly enhanced the phytase production by 1.58 times, showing an overall 2.78 fold increase before optimization and other modifications of the medium. The optimized medium with glucose showed a highest phytase activity of 2250 U/l.open

Development of a Model for the TPACK for Children with Learning Disability
This paper proposes the development of a model for the TPACK for college students with learning disability. A learning disability is a neurological disorder. Students with learning disabilities are smart as or smarter than their peers. But they may have difficulty in reading, writing, spelling, reasoning, recalling and or organizing information if left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways The TPACK framework was derived from the conceptions of Shulman 1986 , who placed importance on the complex inter relationships between the teacher's knowledge about pedagogy, content, and the different ways to characterize subject matter. The broad conception of TPACK is the knowledge regarding the interactions between Content Knowledge CK , Pedagogy Knowledge PK , and Technology Content TK in teaching through the use of technology. Koehler and Mishra emphasized the importance of domains-Pedagogical Content Knowledge PCK , Technological Content Knowledge TCK , Technological Pedagogical Knowledge TPK and TPACK-as a way to see the interaction among the three main domains CK, PK and TK . This paper aims to available TPACK for college students with learning disability and facilitate their learning process in the classroom. Thus this paper tries to answer the following questions. What is meant by learning disability What is meant by TPACK Are there any TPACK available for college students with learning disability A suggestive model of TPACK for college students with learning disability. So, in this paper a TPACK model is presented for college students with learning disability in the higher education. Dr. K. S. Expression of thermostable alkaline protease gene from Thermoactinomyces sp. E79 in E. coli and heat activation of the gene product
The expression of Thermoactinomyces sp. E79 protease gene cloned into E. coli was highly host-dependent and the levels of protease expression was most stable in E. coli RR1 and E. coli HB101. Heating the intracellular extract at 70°C for 15 min converted the inactive recombinant E79 protease to its active mature form and also resulted in purification of the enzyme in a single step. Addition of 10 mM CaCl2 to the E79 protease decreased its autolysis and increased its thermal stability.open
Minor thermodtable alkaline protease produced by Thermoactinomyces sp. E79
Thermoactinomyces sp. E79 produced two types of thermostable alkaline proteases extracellularly. A minor protease was separated from a major protease by using DEAE-column chromatography. This enzyme was purified to homogeneity by ammonium sulfate and DEAE-Sepharose ion-exchange chromatography. The purified minor protease showed different biochemical properties compared to the major protease. The molecular mass of the purified enzyme was estimated by SDS-PAGE to be 36 kDa. Its optimum temperature and pH for proteolytic activity against Hammarsten casein were 70°C and 9.0, respectively. The enzyme was stable up to 75°C and in an alkaline pH range of 9.0-11.0. The enzyme was inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride (PMSF) and Hg2+, indicating that the enzyme may be a cysteine-dependent serine protease. In addition, the enzyme cleaved the endoproteinase substrate, succinyl-Ala-Ala-Pro-Phe-p-nitroanilide, and the K(m) value for the substrate was 1.2 mM.open
Synthesis of alkaline protease by catabolite repression-resistant Thermoactinomyces sp. E79 mutant
The production of alkaline protease from Thermoactinomyces sp. E79 was repressed by 0.2% (w/v) glucose in the medium. Catabolite repression-resistant mutant M1 was obtained by combined treatment of UV light and N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine. The glucose uptake studies accomplished by [14C]glucose showed that the mutant has lost its ability for glucose uptake. The protease production by mutant M1 in the enzyme production medium was 62 U/mg, which was twice that of the wild-type strain.open
Statistical optimization of seed and induction conditions to enhance phytase production by recombinant Escherichia coli
An efficient fermentation process for the production of phytase was developed by statistical optimization from recombinant Escherichia coli BL21. The seed age and inoculum level highly influenced the expression of phytase gene by lactose induction. The optimum of 3.15-h seed culture age instead of an overnight culture and 4.8% (v/v) seed culture yielded high concentrations of cells at short intervals of time for efficient induction. Induction at a lactose concentration of 7.28 mM and at a cell optical density of 0.55 at 550 nm (equivalent to 0.23 g/l dry cell weight) was found to be most suitable in this system. The time of induction and lactose concentration significantly influenced phytase production. The optimized conditions were used to achieve 100% increase in phytase production (174 U/l · h) compared to production before optimizing the conditions.open
