Measurement of succinylacetone in dried blood spots for early detection of tyrosinemia
No full text의생명과학전공/석사혈액여과지검체 (Dry blood spot)로 시행하는 신생아선별검사에서 타이로신 농도가 정상보다 높은 타이로신혈증 (tyrosinemia)의 경우는 반드시 일시적인 신생아 타이로신혈증(transient neonatal tyrosinemia)과 제1형 타이로신혈증 (Type 1 tyrosinemia), 제 2형 타이로신혈증 (Type 2 tyrosinemia), 제 3형 타이로신혈증 (Type 3 tyrosinemia) 등을 감별 진단하여야 한다. 제 2형과 제 3형 타이로신혈증은 타이로신 농도가 아주 높게 나타나므로 쉽게 감별이 가능하지만 일시적인 신생아 타이로신혈증과 제1형 타이로신혈증은 타이로신 농도 만으로는 감별이 불가능하다. 별도 치료가 필요치 않고 일시적으로 높아지는 신생아 타이로신혈증과 조기치료가 반드시 필요한 제1형 타이로신혈증을 감별하기 위해서 추가 유기산검사를 시행하여 succinylacetone 증가 유무를 확인하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만 이는 신생아가 병원에 내원하여 다시 검체를 채취하여야 하고 유기산의 검사소요시간이 길기 때문에 빠른 결과 확인이 어렵다는 문제점이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 혈액여과지검체에 존재하는 succinylacetone을 이온화되기 쉽게 유도화시킨 후 이를 추출하여 미량 측정이 가능한 텐덤질량분석기를 이용하여 그 양을 측정하는 방법을 개발하였다. 개발한 측정방법은 CLSI(Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute) 지침에 따라 그 성능을 평가하였고 직선성(linearity), 검사 간 정밀도, 검사 내 정밀도, calibration의 안정성 등에서 모두 그 기준을 통과하여 우수한 검사 수행능을 보였다. 신생아선별검사에서 정상의 결과를 보였던 128개의 혈액여과지검체와 타이로신이 높았던 92개 혈액여과지검체의 succinylacetone 양을 측정하여 Medicalc 통계프로그램을 사용하여 참고치를 산정하였다. 정상은 116.8ng/mL이하, 일시적 신생아 타이로신혈증은 252.8ng/mL 이하로 나타났고 일시적 신생아 타이로신혈증의 참고치 보다 높은 결과를 보이는 경우에는 제1형 타이로신혈증을 의심하여 추가적인 검사를 시행하도록 권고할 예정이다. 본 연구에서 개발한 검사방법은 신생아선별검사에서 타이로신 농도가 정상보다 높은 경우, 별도의 검체 채취없이 잔여 혈액여과지검체에서 바로 succinylacetone을 측정함으로서 타이로신혈증 조기 감별진단에 대해 유용할 것으로 생각된다.restrictio
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
