Meio documentário, meio sonho febril: o uso intercalado de fato e invenção para a composição do retrato de um artista em Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese
Get PDFA presente pesquisa tem como objetivo explorar as fronteiras entre documentário e ficção audiovisual, mais especificamente, o uso intercalado de ficção e não ficção para compor o retrato de um artista. Para se aprofundar nesse assunto, foi selecionado o filme "Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese" (2019), que retrata o artista Bob Dylan na turnê de mesmo nome entre 1975-1976, misturando fatos e invenções, contando e recontando a história de um tempo perdido. A busca, a partir da obra, é alcançar respostas tangíveis acerca dos fatores narrativos, ou seja, a estratégia narrativa de intercalar fato e invenção representa a autenticidade do artista que viveu diversas décadas no palco com múltiplas personas? O desenvolvimento da metodologia desta pesquisa se deu a partir do uso de técnicas de pesquisa bibliográfica, observações empíricas, artigos eletrônicos e análise da linguagem cinematográfica, por meio da separação de cenas, que buscam burilar sentido em correlação com a personalidade do artista. No primeiro capítulo, são apresentados os conceitos, introduzindo discussões teóricas e definindo o que é o gênero documentário, além de realizar um breve retrospecto da sua história. Em seguida, no segundo capítulo, introduzimos Bob Dylan, balanceando a biografia com as características apresentadas no filme. No terceiro capítulo, são discutidos os aspectos do filme, a partir das análises de cena e seus significados, aprofundando-se nas invenções do filme que são intercaladas entre fatos. Por fim, nas considerações finais, realiza-se um apanhado do que se percebeu das possibilidades que a união intercalada de ficção e não ficção permite ao construtor de narrativas, apontando possíveis caminhos para a realização audiovisual documental. A pesquisa demonstrou que a combinação de elementos factuais e ficcionais pode enriquecer a construção narrativa de documentários, proporcionando uma representação mais complexa e autêntica do sujeito retratado. Essa abordagem oferece novas perspectivas para o desenvolvimento de documentários inovadores e multidimensionais no campo audiovisual.This research aims to explore the boundaries between documentary and audiovisual fiction, specifically the interwoven use of fiction and non-fiction to compose the portrait of an artist. To delve deeper into this subject, the film "Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese" (2019) was selected. This film portrays the artist Bob Dylan on his tour of the same name between 1975-1976, mixing facts and inventions, telling and retelling the story of a lost time. The objective, based on the film, is to obtain tangible answers about the narrative factors, i.e., does the narrative strategy of interweaving fact and invention represent the authenticity of the artist who has lived through various decades on stage with multiple personas? The development of the methodology for this research was based on the use of bibliographic research techniques, empirical observations, electronic articles, and analysis of cinematic language, through the separation of scenes that seek to refine the sense in correlation with the artist's personality. In the first chapter, the concepts are presented, introducing theoretical discussions and defining what the documentary genre is, as well as providing a brief overview of its history. Next, in the second chapter, we introduce Bob Dylan, balancing his biography with the characteristics presented in the film. In the third chapter, the aspects of the film are discussed, based on scene analyses and their meanings, delving into the film's inventions that are interspersed with facts. Finally, in the concluding remarks, a summary is made of what has been perceived about the possibilities that the interwoven union of fiction and non-fiction allows for the narrative builder, pointing out possible paths for audiovisual documentary production. The research demonstrated that the combination of factual and fictional elements can enrich the narrative construction of documentaries, providing a more complex and authentic representation of the subject portrayed. This approach offers new perspectives for the development of innovative and multidimensional documentaries in the audiovisual field
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
