    Program Praktek Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang wajib ditempuh oleh mahasiswa program studi kependidikan dalam menyelesaikan gelar sarjana pendidikannya selain tugas akhir skripsi. Tujuan dari program ini untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada mahasiswa dalam bidang pembelajaran, menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki ke dalam kehidupan nyata, melatih dan mengembangkan kompetensi kependidikan untuk bekal mahasiswa sebagai sumber daya pengajar yang dibutuhkan dalam dunia pendidikan kelak ketika bergelut di dunia pendidikan yang sebenarnya. SMA Negeri 1 Jetis, yang beralamat di Kertan, Sumberagung, Jetis - Bantul merupakan salah satu sekolah yang dijadikan lokasi PPL UNY tahun 2015. Di sekolah ini mahasiswa diharapkan dapat memberikan bantuan pemikiran, tenaga, dan ilmu pengetahuan dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan program sekolah. Tim PPL UNY dapat berperan sebagai inovator, motivator, mediator sekaligus problem solver bagi SMA Negeri 1 Jetis. Program PPL di SMA Negeri 1 Jetis yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Agustus 2015 sampai dengan 12 September 2015. Kegiatan PPL yang dilakukan meliputi tahap persiapan, praktik mengajar, dan pelaksanaan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, mahasiswa diberi kesempatan mengajar maksimal sebanyak 6 kali, dalam praktiknya penyusun telah mengajar sebanyak 8 pertemuan dengan alokasi masing-masing 45 menit dalam satu jam pelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PPL yaitu mahasiswa mendapatkan pengalaman nyata berkaitan dengan perencanaan, penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran dan pengelolaan kelas. Mahasiswa telah dapat menerapkan dan mengembangkan ilmu serta keterampilan yang dimiliki sesuai dengan program studi masing-masing khususnya bidang Fisika. Disini kami juga diberikan pengalaman untuk menggunakan kurikulum baru, yaitu kurikulum 2013

Tim Petzold is first author on ‘ Connexin 41.8 governs timely haematopoietic stem and progenitor cell specification’, published in BiO. Tim conducted the research described in this article while a PhD student in Julien Bertrand's lab at the Department of Pathology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva, Switzerland. He is now a postdoc in the lab of Holger Gerhardt at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association, Berlin, Germany, investigating developmental biology – previously his focus was on how blood stem cells develop and now it has shifted to how the vascular system develops
