Generic-microcontroller bitbang implementation of the Full-Duplex 10BASE-T
Ethernet je ena izmed ključnih tehnologij, ki nam omogoča internetno
vsepovsodno informacijsko komunikacijsko povezanost. V tem diplomskem delu smo
raziskali možnosti implementacije Ethernet protokola 10BASE-T z enostavnim
generičnim mikrokrmilnikom.
Najprej predstavimo Ethernet z glavnim poudarkom na protokolu 10BASE-T. Nato
opišemo, kako smo protokol 10BASE-T programsko implementirali z enostavnim
genericnim mikrokrmilnikom družine STM32G0, ki nima namenskega sklopa za
Ethernet komunikacijo. Delo je smiselno z inženirskega in ekonomskega vidika,
saj veliko manjših mikrokrmilnikov nima namenskega sklopa za Ethernet
komunikacijo.Ethernet is one of the key technologies that make up the Internet.
In this diploma thesis we research the possibilities of implementing the
Ethernet protocol 10BASE-T with a simple generic microcontroller. First we
introduce Ethernet with main focus on the 10BASE-T protocol. Then we describe a
software implementation of the 10BASE-T protocol with a simple low cost generic
STM32G0 microcontroller. We use general-purpose digital IOs in the protocol

V zaključni nalogi predstavimo koncept deljene proizvodnje z združevanjem kapacitet. Deljena proizvodnja predstavlja nov način organizacije proizvodnih sistemov, ki je decentraliziran, bolj demokratičen in omogoča direktne (P2P) kolaboracije med udeleženimi.
V okviru pisanja naloge je predstavljen koncept deljene proizvodnje z združevanjem kapacitet na osnovni bločnoverižne tehnologije in implementacija koncepta v programskem jeziku Soldity omrežja Ethereum. Na podlagi implementacije je narejena in komentirana tudi stroškovna analiza.In the thesis we present the concept of shared manufacturing with capacity pooling. Shared manufacturing is a new way of organizing manufacturing systems , so that they achieve a higher degree of decentralization, democracy and support direct Peer-to-Peer collaborations among partakers.
We show implementation of the aforementioned concept with blockchain technology. We create a protocol in a shape of a smart contract, written in Solidity, deploy it to Ethereum testnet and comment on the cost analysis of such implementation
Gobo projection of art pattern sequences
Za delo na projektih Mesto nagovarja meščane in Tekstilni vzorci v urbani komunikaciji smo potrebovali programsko opremo za krmiljenje svetlobnih projektorjev, ki so bili del prostorske instalacije na kulturnem dogodku Vurnikovi dnevi 2023 v Radovljici. V krajšem časovnem obdobju nismo našli primerne aplikacije, zato smo razvili lastno C++ aplikacijo za krmiljenje naprav preko DMX512 protokola. Aplikacijo smo uporabili na projektu in jo skozi diplomsko nalogo dodatno nadgradili, pri čemer smo dodali manjkajoče funkcije in odpravili opažene napake. Tako je primerna za uporabo na drugih projektih v prihodnosti. Glede na podrobnejši pregled obstoječe programske opreme in glede na rezultate projekta smo prišli do zaključka, da je bil razvoj lastne aplikacije boljša in izvedbena varnejša možnost kot iskanje in osvajanje namenskega programa za krmiljenje svetlobe na večjih predvsem glasbenih dogodkih.For the projects “Mesto nagovarja meščane” and “Tekstilni vzorci v urbani komunikaciji”, we needed a programmable solution to control light projectors that were part of a room installation at the cultural event “Vurnik Days 2023” in Radovljica. Since we could not find a suitable existing application in the short time available to us, we developed our own C++ application to control devices via DMX512 protocol. We used the application for the project and then further improved it by adding missing features and fixing observed bugs. This makes it suitable for use in other projects in the future. After a closer examination of the existing software on the market and based on the project results, it became apparent that developing our own application was a better and safer execution option than searching in many programming solutions for lighting control at large public events
Optimization of gap size spread between stator and rotor for transition from prototypes to electric motor small-scale production
V diplomskem delu vrednotimo velikost zračne reže sinhronskega elektromotorja kot posledice izdelovalnih oblikovnih in dimenzijskih toleranc. Z večjo zračno režo pogojena večja magnetna upornost zmanjša motorni navor, manjšanje zračne reže pa omejijo oblika obodov rotorja in statorja, proizvodne tolerance in potrebna zračnost v ležajih rotorja. Na podlagi predpisanih toleranc na delavniških risbah so bile izvedene meritve dimenzij statorjev in rotorjev na koordinatnem merilnem stroju. Z uporabo statističnih metod smo ovrednotili kakovost proizvodnega procesa. Izmerjene vrednosti prikažemo na grafu Normalne porazdelitvene funkcije in na diagramu kontrole. Poleg tolerančne analize so pomembni tudi izbrani feromagnetni materiali, saj legirani elementi neposredno vplivajo na velikost magnetne upornosti RM. Analiza je pokazala, da so izmerjene vrednosti večje od pričakovanih, ter da proces struženja statorjev ni zadovoljivo nadzorovan.This thesis examines the impact of air gap size in synchronous electric motors, considering the manufacturing design and dimensional tolerances required. A larger air gap is constrained by magnetic resistance and motor efficiency, while a smaller air gap is limited by the rotor and stator shapes. To assess the quality of the production process, stators and rotors were measured using a coordinate measuring machine based on the specified tolerances in the workshop drawings. Statistical methods were employed to evaluate the production process quality. The measured values are presented using Gaussian distribution graphs and control charts. Besides tolerance analysis, the choice of ferromagnetic material is crucial, as different alloys can increase or decrease magnetic resistance. The analysis revealed that the measured values were higher than expected, indicating that the stator turning process is not satisfactory managed
Concurrent development of medical sterilizer and its IEC 61010 compliance
Diplomska naloga obravnava sočasen razvoj medicinskega sterilizatorja za endoskope in doseganje skladnosti s standardom IEC 61010. Namesto tradicionalnega sekvenčnega razvoja smo uporabili sočasni pristop za optimizacijo regulacije temperature. Razvili smo regulator, programsko kodo, električno shemo in vezje za natančno upravljanje temperature komore. Testiranje je potrdilo skladnost sterilizatorja s standardom ISO 15883. Opravili smo varnostne preizkuse po standardu IEC 61010. Z zgodnjo vključitvijo verifikacije smo skrajšali razvojni čas in optimirali stroške izdelave sterilizatorja. Sočasen razvoj je omogočil hkratno validacijo programske in strojne opreme, kar rezultira tudi v zanesljivosti delovanja in holistični skladnosti naprave. Rezultati potrjujejo, da sočasno preverjanje skladnosti med razvojem bistveno pospeši certificiranje, hkrati pa zagotavlja visok nivo varnosti in zanesljivosti naprave.The thesis explores the concurrent development of a medical endoscope sterilizer and its compliance with IEC 61010. Unlike the traditional sequential approach, we applied concurrent engineering to optimize temperature regulation. A temperature controller was developed alongside software code, an electrical schematic, and a circuit for precise chamber temperature control. Testing confirmed compliance with ISO 15883 and successful completion of all IEC 61010 safety evaluations. By integrating verification early in the process, we reduced development time and minimized potential redesigns, fixes and/or adjustments. The use of concurrent engineering allowed simultaneous hardware and software validation, ensuring functional reliability and regulatory conformity. The findings demonstrate that real-time compliance assessment during development significantly accelerates certification while maintaining high apparatus safety and performance standards. This approach proves effective for optimizing complex medical apparatusses with precise controls and stringent regulatory compliance
Design of walk-behind tractor without wmissions - feasibility study
Narejena je študija izvedljivosti gorske kosilnice v tehnologiji brez emisij. Osredotočili smo se na iskanje ekološke rešitve z uporabo primernega elektromotorja, ki naj nadomesti motor z notranjim izgorevanjem. Z izračuni smo določili potrebno moč motorja in kapaciteto baterijskega sklopa. Predstavljene so motorne osnove in delovanje motorjev, ki so primerni za uporabo v gorskih kosilnicah. Prišli smo do zaključka, da je zaradi svojih karakteristik najbolj primeren brezkrtačni motor s trajnimi magneti na enosmerno napajanje (ang. PM brushless DC motor), saj deluje sinhrono in ga krmilimo enostavneje od druge izbrane alternative, ki je sinhroni motor s trajnimi magneti (ang. PMSM-Permanent magnet synchronous motor). V študiji smo določili potrebne karakteristike pogona, se seznanili z delovanjem različnih izvedb in karakteristik elektromotorjev, izbrali najprimernejši izvedbi - vrsti elektromotorja, ustrezni izvedbi krmilnika motorja in potrebno kapaciteto baterijskega sklopa. Konkretno dimenzioniranega elektromotorja, ki bi popolnoma ustrezal našim zahtevam, sodeč po pregledu na spletu in po pogovorih z inženirji za razvoj elektromotornih pogonov, na trgu še ni. Tehnično in tehnološko pa je optimizacija motorja in motornega krmilnika za gorsko kosilnico možno izdelati. Sledil bo ekonomski del študije izvedljivosti, katerega jedro bo skupaj z inženiringom proizvajalcev določiti stroške razvoja specificiranega motorja do maloserijske proizvodnje.A feasibility study for walk-behind tractor without emission was carried out. We focused on finding an ecological solution using a suitable electric motor to replace the internal combustion engine. The calculations determined the required power of the electric engine and the capacity of the battery pack. The electric motor fundamentals and operation of engines suitable for use in walk behind mowers are presented. We have come to the conclusion that because of its characteristics, the brushless motor with permanent magnets on the DC current (PM brushless DC motor) is most suitable because of its characteristics. It works synchronously. Its\u27 control is simpler than other alternative, which is a synchronous constant-magnet motor (PMSM-permanent magnetic synchronous motor). In the study, we determined the required drive characteristics, we familiarized ourselves with the operation of different versions and characteristics of electric motors, selected the most suitable versions - the type of electric motor, the corresponding controller and the required capacity of the battery pack. A specially sized electric motor that fully complies with our requirements, after a web survey and after discussions with engineers for the development of electric motors, is not yet available on the market. Technically and technologically, the optimization of the electric motor and the motor controller for a walk-behind mower can be made. The economy part of the feasibility study will follow. It will be performed in cooperation with sales and engineering departments of the producers. It will give the cost of developing a particular electric motor for a small-scale production
Technical steps in the creation of a smart living environment
Za boljši izkoristek pri rabi energije in za izboljšanje kakovost življenja prebivalcev se mesta in stavbe v njih razvijajo v smeri pametnih mest in stavb. V prvem delu naloge sem predstavil teorijo pametnih mest in stavb, IKT uporabljeno za komunikacijo med napravami in umetno inteligenco, ki jih lahko upravlja. V nadaljevanju sem predstavil postopek razvoja pametnih dvoriščnih vrat. Zanje sem razvil krmilno vezje, strežnik za komunikacijo s perifernimi napravami, računalniške programe, nadzorno kamero in aplikacijo za pameten telefon. V zaključku predstavim mnenja uporabnikov o njihovi uporabniški izkušnji z uporabo pametnih dvoriščnih vrat.To achieve a more efficient use of resources and better standard of living, cities and their buildings are transforming to smart cities and smart buildings. In the first part we survey theory of smart cities and buildings, ICTs that are used for communication between devices and artificial intelligence, which controls them. Follows the procedure of smart gates development. We design a control circuit, a server for communication with other devices, a security camera, a computer program and a smart phone application. At the end, we survey users on their experience with use of smart gates
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
