Critical Community Engaged Scholarship — with Liz Jackson
Liz Jackson is the director of the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute at the University of Guelph. Liz has also previously worked as the Research Collection Coordinator at the Improvisation, Community, and Social Practice Project and the Community Engagement Officer at the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation. Currently, Liz is the board chair of Art Not Shame, a community-engaged, multidisciplinary arts organization serving youth and adults. Human rights and the politics and implications of artistic representation are some of the themes which Liz is involved in. The Jackson/Williamson County Survey’s (JWCS) purpose is to examine residents’ assessments of the quality of life in Jackson and Williamson County. The survey will provide local leaders, community organizations, and citizens with insights for long-term planning.
