Training teachers of elementary education in chosen European countries
No full textThe author of the article underlines the growth of interest in kindergarten education as a significant link in educational system. Most of discussed problems refer to professional competences of early education teachers and the change of the role of a teacher who works with a young child. Directions of changes in training and development of kindergarten teachers and I-III classes are presented and professional qualifications of teachers from chosen European countries are described. The author also turns attention to the fact that the quality of training has basic significance in ensuring the quality of education as well as improving teaching results. Every teacher needs access to knowledge. No full textAutorka artykułu przedstawia fragment badań porównawczych przeprowadzonych w latach 2022-2024 w dwóch szkołach podstawowych w Białymstoku i Mońkach. Głównym celem badań było otrzymanie odpowiedzi na temat poziomu sprawności fizycznej dziewcząt i chłopców klas I-III ze szkół podstawowych z Podlasia. Wyniki uwidoczniają między innymi skutki izolacji po okresie pandemii choroby COVID-19 i skłaniają do pochylenia się nad problemem obniżającej się sprawności uczniów.The author of this article presents an extract from a comparative study carried out between 2022 and 2024 in two primary schools in Białystok and Mońki. The main aim of the study was to obtain information on the level of physical fitness of girls and boys in grades I-III from primary schools in Podlasie. The results highlight, among other things, the effects of isolation after the COVID-19 pandemic and prompt us to address the problem of declining physical fitness among students

No full textAutorka artykułu przedstawia fragment badań własnych dotyczących wybranych aspektów Pedagogiki Marii Montessori. Przeprowadzone badania sondażowe wśród studentów i słuchaczy studiów podyplomowych dostarczyły odpowiedzi na temat znajomości Montessori i założeń jej koncepcji, zasad, sposobów pracy w systemie montessoriańskim. Ustalono, czy uczestniczące w badaniu wiedzą, jakie są cele, treści oraz metody wychowania i kształcenia w systemie pedagogicznym Montessori oraz w jakim zakresie znają materiał rozwojowy stosowany w pracy z dzieckiem w wieku przedszkolnym. Najcenniejsze są treści zawierające ocenę możliwości zastosowania koncepcji w polskich przedszkolach we współczesności. Zebrany materiał badawczy pozwolił na sformułowanie postulatów, które m.in. dotyczą podjęcia dalszych działań w celu propagowania wspomnianej koncepcji.The author of the article presents a fragment of her own research on selected aspects of Maria Montessori's Pedagogy. Surveys conducted among students and postgraduates provided information on the knowledge of the Montessori Method and the assumptions of her concepts, principles, ways of working in the Montessori system. It was determined whether the participants in the study know what the objectives are and have the knowledge of the content and methods of education and training in the Montessori system as well as to what extent they know the developmental material used in working with preschoolers. The most valuable is the material containing the assessment of the possibility of introducing the concept into Polish kindergartens. The collected research output allowed us to formulate postulates which, among other things, concern taking further actions in order to promote the aforementioned concept
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Wyeksponowano kompetencje językowe i komunikacyjne, w tym kompetencję fonologiczną, leksykalną, społeczną, strategiczną, dyskursu, socjokulturową i socjolingwistyczną. Zasygnalizowano też składowe i wskaźniki kompetencji porozumiewania się w języku ojczystym zawarte w Zaleceniu Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady. Krótko scharakteryzowano dziecko kompetentne komunikacyjnie i podkreślono rolę środowisk wychowawczych w nabywaniu zdolności do posługiwania się językiem ojczystym.The article presents some aspects of communication in the native language. Znaczeniu tej ostatniej w nabywaniu kompetencji społecznych poświęcono w artykule szczególną uwagę. Przybliżono wybrane badania na temat roli rówieśnika w procesie socjalizacji odwołując się m.in. do teorii poznawczej, etologicznej i uczenia się społecznego. Zaakcentowano pozycję dziecka w grupie rówieśniczej oraz jej wpływ na kształtowanie się i zacieśnianie więzi społecznych.Making contact with other people belong to the earliest and most important tasks of life the child. A special role is played by parents, teachers and peer group. Importance of the latter in the acquisition of social skills in an article devoted special attention. The chapter selected studies on the role of peer socialization process by referring, among others, to the theory of cognitive, ethological and social learning.
