Correction to: The measure mix matters: multiple-component plant protection is indispensable for coping with the enormous genome plasticity and mutation rates in pathogenic microorganisms
In the original publication of the article, the first author name is incorrectly published as “Ely Oliceira-Garcia” but the correct name should read as “Ely Oliveira-Garcia”. This has been corrected in this paper

Seattle Girls War Relief Bazaar poster by J.C. Ely, 1917
After the United States entered World War I in April 1917, base hospitals were mobilized at universities and civilian hospitals across the country. In October 1917, the American Red Cross authorized the University of Washington to organize an army hospital, with the provision that the local Seattle Chapter raise 100,000 was raised, and $50,000 was given to Red Cross Headquarters in Washington D.C. for the purpose of establishing Base Hospital No. 50. The University of Washington unit became the last base hospital authorized by the Red Cross and the War Department. The remainder of the funds was used to support military dependents in King and Kitsap counties.
A dozen professional and amateur local artists competed to create a poster advertising the Seattle Girls War Relief Bazaar. This green and black poster by J.C. Ely of the University of Washington uses the image of two seated children, a boy in winter clothing and a girl knitting, to advertise the War Relief Bazaar.Text on poster: Seattle Girls War Relief Bazaar - Arena-Hippodrome - Dec. 17-221 poster; 14 x 18 in
Method of thermally glazing an article, U.S. Patent 6,127,005
Coating and filler materials for localized thermal processing of glazed ceramics and other brittle and low thermal conductivity materials. The coating materials include oxide compositions that exhibit coefficients of thermal expansion which are less than about 8×10-6 /° C. and glass transition temperatures which are less than about 400° C. The filler materials include particulate oxide materials which do not substantially react during localized thermal processing of glazed ceramics and other brittle and low thermal conductivity materials. The coating and filler materials are useable together as a composite material for repairing cavities having depths greater than about 2 mm
The use of recovered metal complexes in catalysis
Research in the group led by James Wilton‐Ely focuses on catalysis, imaging and sensing. All of this work involves d- and f-elements and is underpinned by the group’s wide-ranging expertise in synthesis. Collaborations with researchers in engineering, medicine and bioimaging allow these discoveries to be used to address major healthcare and sustainability challenges. Professor Wilton-Ely is the author of more than 100 publications and was the recipient of the 2021 Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry for his work on metal-based carbon monoxide sensing. He has a strong interest in sustainability, having directed the MRes Green Chemistry course at Imperial College for over 12 years (2010–2022). He has published on the use of recovered metals in catalysis (1–5), the catalytic transformation of biomass to platform chemicals (6–11) and magnetically-recoverable nanoscale catalysts (12, 13). Elemental sustainability is a pressing concern for all researchers using precious metals and this has led Wilton-Ely to work with colleagues to explore the potential for using gold (3) and palladium (4, 5) complexes recovered from end-of-life products in catalysis

1995 Sub-Librarians Meeting: Let a Woman in Your Life: the Women in Conan Doyle\u27s Life and Fiction
At the 23rd (Irregular) meeting, the Sub-Librarians greeted members of multiple Chicago area scion societies at the Harold Washington Library Center. The meeting began with a champagne and dessert reception in the lower lobby and then moved into the video theater for the program. Toasts were given by Katherine Rankin, Deborah Schlesinger and others.
Marsha Pollak, ASH, welcomed everyone and introduced Ely. M. Liebow, professor of English at Northeastern Illinois University and author of Dr. Joe Bell: Model for Sherlock Holmes. Liebow spoke on the topic Let a Woman in Your Life: The Women in Arthur Conan Doyle\u27s Life and Fiction
Prescribing by mental health nurses: the UK perspective
PURPOSE. This article aims to discuss the growth of mental health nurse (MHN) prescribing in the United Kingdom as an exemplar for readers to compare progress in their own countries and context. This study also aims to provide a historical overview of this process in the United Kingdom where MHNs prescribe safely and competently.
CONCLUSIONS. Finally, evidence has shown that MHNs with prescriptive authority are competent when prescribing when compared to psychiatrists.
PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS. Despite organizational barriers and educational concerns, MHN prescribing is becoming embedded in the healthcare context in the United Kingdo
Valtion viraston taloushallinnon prosessit : Case Kainuun ELY-keskus
The objective of this thesis was to study the operations of a state agency. Another purpose was to describe four financial management processes of the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Kainuu, as well as present development proposals and identify the risks of the described processes. The process diagrams were made to clarify the descriptions of the processes.
The theoretical framework of this thesis consists of the description of state economy, the development of information systems and financial methods, financial management process description with examples as well as its risks and risk management.
The empirical part was implemented as qualitative research partly by using interviews and partly based on per-sonal experience of one of the author. The integral part of the empirical part was the description of the areas of responsibility of the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Kainuu as well as its financial management. Practical suggestions were made for the described processes. Also, a short risk analysis was made for these processes.
Suggestions for development and improvement were related, among others, to the elimination of unnecessary stages and increasing personnel resources. The risk analysis showed that there are three types of risks in the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Kainuu: personnel and knowledge risk, effectiveness risk and information risk.
This thesis can be used for training purposes. It can be also continued by describing other financial management processes of the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Kainuu
