Using fully convolutional neural networks for object detection in robot welding applications
No full textIn this thesis we have tried to use deep convolutional neural networks in a automated welding application. This application was the instant robot programming system from Exner. The network used was the fully convolutional U-net architecture because it performed well with few training examples, accepts inputs from most sizes and separates on a pixel level. The network was trained on a in this thesis created training set and able to separate most inputs correctly with an average recall rate of 86,80%

Materiality, meanings, and competences for historic rural buildings: a social practice approach for engaging local communities in energy transition
No full textNatural and cultural heritage are important resources for engaging local communities in the promotion of a sustainable future, both for achieving energy targets and repopulating rural areas. Public engagement is an important factor particularly to preserve historic rural buildings and its landscapes in Alpine communities, where people build up an emotional relationship with cultural and natural heritage. The study, realised in the framework of the Interreg ITA-AUT
SHELTER project, aims at defining a new use for an abandoned historical building by the engagement of the local community and, according to the new use, at defining insights for
elaborating the energy retrofit balancing preservation and sustainability issues. The study also
identifies the relevant elements to be available within a local community to ensure a long-lasting use and management of a public retrofitted historical building. Among these elements and using the sociological lens, we investigate: the materiality of the historic building and its landscape; the community and social meanings attributed to the building and the landscape; and the heritage management competences of the local community to manage and maintain the building in the next future. All these elements can be translated into a social practice of building and land management that avoids a second abandonment. Social science-based interviews are conducted in Valbrenta (IT), using content analysis

No full textII Comprehensive System ideato da J. Exner Jr è stato continuamente aggiornato da ricercatori e clinici di tutto il mondo sotto la supervisione dell'autore del metodo. Lo strumento organizzativo di tale procedura di miglioramento continuo era rappresentato dal Rorschach Research Council (RRC), costituito da psicologi di fama mondiale e di consolidata esperienza. Dalla morte di J. Exner nel 2004, questo valore aggiunto, a tutela della qualità dei prodotti scientifici e dell'attività clinica quotidiana, si era interrotto. Il volume si pone in continuità con il Sistema Comprensivo di Exner, alla luce della revisione della letteratura scientifica e degli approfondimenti intercorsi dalla sua morte a oggi. Gli autori stessi sono stati i componenti dell'RRC nella sua ultima formazione e assicurano il rigore che ha caratterizzato il Sistema Comprensivo, in qualità di metodo più diffuso e validato nel mondo
