A problematic zygopleuroid gastropod Acanthostrophia revisited
SEM examination of the type series of Acathostrophia acanthica CONTI & FISCHER, 1984 from Middle Jurassic of Italy has shown that this gastropod most likely belongs to the family Protorculidae as previously suggested by NÜTZEL (1998). It is also similar to some Jurassic species of Polygyrinidae, which might also be related to Protorculidae. The supposition of KAIM et al. (2008) that Acanthostrophia is an early member of Abyssochrysidae could not be confirmed

The radical right in Europe, between slogans and voting behavior. IHS Political Science Series No. 123, July 2011
The paper analyzes the radical right‘s attitudes toward the EU focusing in particular on the level of congruence between the programmatic statements of the central office and the voting behavior of their MEPs. It shows that although radical right parties represent a source of opposition to the EU, within the EP they express their dissent making use of the rules of the game, voting with the opposition more than the other forces do, but voting almost as much with the majority. The party public office in the EP is inserted in the legislative process and even more collusive with the other parties of both sides of the political spectrum than the Eurosceptical rhetoric and statements of central office makes the public believe

The friendship between Gabriele d’Annunzio and Angelo Conti is particularly intense in the years 1894-1900, in the context of Venice. Both of them reflect about Venetian painters and especially Giorgione, whose picture they interpret as an expression of Venetian magnificent life. I analyze the meaning of the form fuoco giorgionesco, also used by Walter Pater in his well-known essay The School of Giorgione. I examine in particular Conti’s references to this text, in order to verify their accuracy. I put forward the hypothesis that, when Conti wrote the monograph Giorgione, his knowledge of the English author was incomplete and came largely from articles published in magazines, from conversations with friends, and from the translation into Italian of only short extracts. I argue that it was unlikely that Conti (and d’Annunzio) had read Pater’s whole work in English, which at the time was little known in Italy

Errata Corrige. In the article 'Localization and activity of iNOS in normal human lung tissue and lung cancer tissue' by Speranza L et al, which was published in the July-September issue of the International Journal of Biological Markers (Int J Biol Markers 2007; 22 (3): 226-231), the name of the 6th Author was misprinted. We reprint here with his correct name: S. Tet
Spectroscopic investigations of the H3PO4 and H2O uptake of polybenzimidazole membranes for fuel cells
Polybenzimidazole (PBI) doped with H3PO4 is the most commonly used membrane material for high-temperature polymer fuel cells. Proton conductivity is strongly dependent on acid doping and water content (humidity). Despite these facts, only little is known on the chemical equilibria of all species inside the membrane as a function of the composition of the ternary system PBI - H3PO4 - H2O. This includes details on the proton transfer processes, on the dominant conduction mechanisms and on the condensation equilibria, leading to the formation of diphosphoric acid and higher homologues species.
In this study, Raman and NMR spectroscopy is used to investigate the chemical inter¬actions between H3PO4, H2O and PBI vs. the H3PO4 doping level. We obtained information on the H-bond formation between H3PO4 and the polymer chains, on tautomeric processes as well as on the presence of not directly bound H3PO4 at high doping levels. Investigations were performed with uncrosslinked and crosslinked m-PBI and AB-PBI [1-4]. [1] F. Conti, A. Majerus, V. Di Noto, C. Korte, W. Lehnert, D Stolten, Phys. Chem. Chem.
