    Vicente Rodrigues: tradição em curso

    No full text
This study, called Vicente Rodrigues: Tradition in Progress, intends to study the works by a popular author, Vicente Rodrigues, who wrote original theatre plays for almost thirty years to be played in his hometown, Torrão. These texts show the relationship between this author and his community, who tried to deliver it a political consciousness and some knowledge about the Portuguese Literature. On the other hand, they used an imaginary that may be related to the composition of capitals of rural workers. Therefore, one of the purposes of this dissertation is to show the presence of those universes and the way they are used. In another view, these texts contain more than two hundred songs, some of which are still being transmitted nowadays by the oral circuits. This set of songs will be studied, looking for common traits between them and the traditional songs. The most relevant ones will be poetically analyzed

On SSK and Conversing with Scientists:Eugénia Rodrigues Talks with Michael J. Mulkay

Mike Mulkay takes Eugénia Rodrigues through a journey that revisits his involvement in the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge and STS. They talk dates, career moves, foundational work, books, and how it all started with a denied visa application from the US. Running under this formalistic level, though, other themes emerge: the notion of a “field” and its meaning in STS; the observed lack of epistemological and methodological rigor in research practice; Mulkay’s unsuccessful (on his own account) project on the literary forms or his unfazed take on the work produced by the “Edinburgh School.” It is a fascinating expedition and one that reveals some very present-day questions for STS, not least about the meanings of engagement and reflexivity.A reflection by Eugénia Rodrigues follows the interview

Hamada, J.M.C. Nascimento & J. O. Silva leg. All in MZUSP. Remarks. It is common to find more than one species of Oiovelia in the same foam mass and O. cunucunumana (Fig. 15) occurred together with O. viannai (Figs 16–17) in the State of Minas Gerais, at a brown water stream without formation of foam (Rodrigues et al. 2014). The same two species were found co-occurring in foam mass from a dark water stream in the State of Bahia, which represents the first record of the genus from Northeastern Brazil. Oiovelia cunucunumana is the species with the largest range within the genus, with records from Venezuela to Argentina. Oiovelia viannai is a recently described species, and until now was known only from the type locality in the State of Minas Gerais, Southeastern Brazil. The occurrence of specimens of Oiovelia outside foam masses appears to be a secondary option, because individuals are rarely found in streams or rivers without foam. Additionally, in field trips in the State of Amazonas, northern Brazil, it was noticed that specimens seem to rest on twigs or banks of streams at night, since the number of specimens present on foam at this period is much lower than during the day (HDDR, personal observations).Published as part of Rodrigues, Higor D.
