Causal Factor Analysis Of Low Foreign Tourist Arrivals To Jakarta

    No full text
The development of tourism in Indonesia is lagging behind compared to some of our neighboring countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, despite the fact that Indonesia has many tourist attractions and culture that differ from his province. The World Economic Forum in 2009 put Indonesia in the position to 81, well below Singapore in position 10. By looking at the problem above, researcher wishes to conduct research to find out if there is an influence to the 14 tourism competitiveness criteria issued by the World Tourism Forum in 2009 as an independent variable, against the target of Indonesia tourism marketing as the dependent variable (to increase the number of tourists, the old residence, and tourist expenditures). In this study the authors used a questionnaire to obtain data from foreign tourists who visited Jakarta, especially foreign tourists who stay at Jalan Jaksa (Jaksa Street of Central Jakarta) from September to December 2009. The number of respondents as many as 150 people using the method of accidental sample. To test the validity of the use factor analysis. To analyze the data the author uses regression analysis of the F test, t test and coefficient of determination . The results of the analysis show that simultaneously there is a significant influence among the 14 criteria of competitiveness of tourism as an independent variable (X) with the objective of tourism marketing as the dependent variable (Y) and H1 accepted. T test value of each variable X shows that the variable X6 (air transport infrastructure) has positive influence to variable Y and H6 accepted. T test value for the variable X12 (tourist attraction) a positive effect on variable Y and H12 received. The findings above are very useful for decision makers in tourism in order to prioritize the development of tourism. Keyword : component: Number of Tourist, Tourist Night, Tourist Expenditur

Elevage et ressources en eau dans le Nord de la région de Zinder (Niger) / Cattle breeding and water resources in the northern region of Zinder

Abstract : Cattle breeding and water resources in the northern region of Zinder. Cattle breeding is one of the main activities of the populations in the Sahel. The north of Zinder is a case in point. This is a region subjected to considerable change, resulting mainly from the degradation of the natural conditions. In a context of mobility, the availability of water and grazing lands are the principal factors determining the location of cattle breeding in the region. However, certain practices around water points, which the author discovered in the field and which are gaining more and more ground, have made the management of water resources a prime concern, a concern that constitutes the central theme of this paper. Because of the will of the « sedentary » breeders to preserve the natural resources of their « local land » (« terroirs d'attache »), we are witnessing a « de facto » appropriation of a space that should normally be open to all herdsmen and cattle breeders. Understanding these local practices is important if we are to integrate realistic action into future projects and programmes, and to define practical tools for the implementation of land management.Résumé : En région sahélienne l'élevage est l'une des principales activités des populations. Waziri Mato Maman. Men have lower rates of HIV testing and higher rates of AIDS-related mortality compared to women in sub-Saharan Africa. To assess whether there is an opportunity to increase men’s uptake of testing by correcting misperceptions about testing norms, we compare men’s perceptions of their closest friend’s HIV testing behaviors with the friend’s actual testing self-report using a unique dataset of men sampled within their social networks (n = 59) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We examine the accuracy and bias of perceptions among men who have tested for HIV (n = 391) and compare them to the perceptions among men who never tested (n = 432). We found that testers and non-testers did not differ in the accuracy of their perceptions, though non-testers were strongly biased towards assuming that their closest friends had not tested. Our results lend support to social norms approaches designed to correct the biased misperceptions of non-testers to promote men’s HIV testing

Phenomenological and Hermeneutical Approcach of Law

The present work aims to develop an understanding of the legal phenomenom based on the philosophy of Martin Heidegger through examining the phenomenological constraints of \'judiciality\', wich indicates a specific mode of analysis and approach. First, the main notions of our author will be laid out, such as Dasein, being-in-the-world, phenomenology, and the very question of being, thus gathering enough material to conduct the study. After this, the problems concerning the essence and foundation of law will be introduced through a historical presentation, passing from medieval thought to modern philosophy, where the metaphysical foundation oh law changes paradigm and the main problems of legal philosophy that we are facing today are born. Finally, in the third stage of the study, which is the most propositive, the existential elements of Dasein are more appropriately related to law and an analysis of legal hermeneutics is conducted from these phenomenological notions. We will see that the essence of law is only presented from an approach that considers its pratical dynamicity, hence the importance of finalizing this study with an analysis of the hermeneutic moment. More than a moment of juridical thinking aimed at determining the meaning of norms or something of the sort, hermeneutics is a constitutive characteristic of the \'juridical\', whereas an adequate approach of this characteristic, one that the conclusions seriously, necessarily leads to a change of focus with regard to the very concept of law. It is only through a careful phenomenological approach that considers the existential dispositions of Dasein and the demands of the discipline thath we can make progress towards this more adequate understanding of \'judiciality\'

Social support among HIV-positive and HIV-negative adolescents in Umlazi, South Africa: changes in family and partner relationships during pregnancy and the postpartum period

    No full text
Background: Pregnancy is common among adolescents in South Africa, yet the social experiences of adolescents during the pregnancy and postpartum period remain understudied in this context. We aimed to explore how adolescent women’s discovery and disclosure of both their pregnancy and HIV status affected their relationships with family members and sexual partners, with a particular focus on whether and how support changed throughout this time period. Methods: We conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with 15 HIV-positive and HIV-negative adolescent women who were either pregnant or had delivered in the last 18 months from one urban clinic in Umlazi, South Africa. Interviews were audiotaped, transcribed, translated, and coded for analysis. Results: Young women described stress and instability in their relationships with family and partners during pregnancy and the postpartum period, though prior to and during HIV-status disclosure women generally experienced less stress than in disclosing their pregnancy to family members and partners. After a destabilizing period immediately following pregnancy disclosure, families became and remained the primary source of material and emotional support for the young women. Women discussed heightened closeness with their partners during pregnancy, but few women had close relationships with their partners postpartum. Support experiences did not differ by HIV status. Conclusion: Programs should be aware of the relative importance of pregnancy-related concerns over HIV-related concerns in this population of young women. Engaging family members is critical in ensuring social support for this population of young pregnant women, and in encouraging timely initiation of antenatal care

Mots clés Fottorino, Identité individuelle,  identité collective, coexistence, Juifs, Musulmans   ABSTRACT This article looks at the question of the reconstruction of individual and collective identity in the novel Le Marcheur de Fès (2013). The author of this story, Eric Fottorino, is one of the writers whose parents left Morocco to settle in other countries. The fruit of a relationship between a Jewish Moroccan father, Maurice Maman, a midwife, and a French mother, he could have been called Eric Maman, but fate decided otherwise. After the death of Michel Fottorino, his adoptive father, Eric decides to return to Fez, the birthplace of his "real father", to repair the broken link between them. It's a journey into the memory of a labyrinthine city, in the hope of tracing the roots of a father he never knew, and of pursuing a quest for identity. He thus becomes the walker of Fez.   Keywords Fottorino, Individual identity, collective identity, coexistence, Jews, Muslim
