Efektivitas Penggunaan E-Modul Berbasis Authentic Learning Konteks Lahan Basah pada Materi Hukum Archimedes
Fisika sering dianggap sebagai subjek yang abstrak, sehingga memerlukan media pembelajaran inovatif yang dapat mengkonkretkan konsep dengan lingkungan sekitar mahasiswa. E-modul berbasis authentic learning konteks lahan basah merupakan salah satu media inovatif yang valid untuk digunakan namun perlu diuji efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan e-modul berbasis authentic learning dengan konteks lahan basah pada materi Hukum Archimedes terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 mahasiswa pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pemahaman konsep adalah tes esai (pretest dan posttest), serta angket respons mahasiswa untuk mengetahui tanggapan mereka terhadap e-modul. E-modul yang digunakan dikembangkan sendiri oleh peneliti dan telah divalidasi. Teknik analisis data untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar adalah uji N-Gain. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,75 yang tergolong dalam kategori “tinggi”. Selain itu, hasil angket respons mahasiswa menunjukkan tanggapan yang sangat positif, dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 86% mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa e-modul menarik, mudah digunakan, dan konteks lahan basah sangat membantu dalam memahami konsep Hukum Archimedes. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul berbasis authentic learning konteks lahan basah efektif digunakan dalam perkuliahan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada materi Hukum Archimedes
PENGEMBANGAN ELECTRONIC CONCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENT CONCEPTUAL CHANGE TEXT (E-CDCCTEXT) BERORIENTASI LEARNING PROGRESSION DAN KONSISTENSI KONSEPSI PADA MATERI HUKUM NEWTON
Aktivitas pembelajaran fisika perlu memfasilitasi keragaman konsepsi peserta didik untuk mencapai konsepsi ilmiah. Modus teks merupakan salah satu modus dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk E-CDCCText yang valid dan teruji dalam memfasilitasi learning progression dan konsistensi konsepsi ilmiah peserta didik pada materi hukum Newton. E-CDCCText merupakan teks pembentukan konsepsi dan pengubahan konsepsi yang dapat diakses secara online melalui browser perangkat elektronik seperti komputer, laptop, atau smartphone. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mix method melalui desain sequential exploratory. Partisipan penelitian pada tahap implementasi adalah 32 peserta didik kelas X MIPA pada salah satu SMA Negeri di Yogyakarta yang dipilih menggunakan teknik ramdom sampling untuk kelas. Keadaan konsepsi peserta didik sebelum, selama, dan setelah aktivitas E-CDCCText didiagnosis menggunakan tes konsepsi paralel dalam format four tier test terkait materi hukum Newton. Learning progression peserta didik dianalisis berdasarkan perubahan konsepsi peserta didik sebelum, selama, dan setelah aktivitas E-CDCCText. Konsistensi konsepsi peserta didik dianalisis berdasarkan keadaan konsepsi peserta didik setelah aktivitas E-CDCCText dan dalam jangka waktu tertentu setelah aktivitas E-CDCCText. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dihasilkan: 1) E-CDCCText pada materi hukum Newton yang terdiri dari delapan bagian teks yaitu teks pengantar dan identifikasi konsepsi awal peserta didik, teks pembentukan konsepsi, teks identifikasi ulang keadaan konsepsi, teks konfrontasi konsepsi, teks pengubahan konsepsi, teks pernyataan pengubahan konsepsi, teks identifikasi keadaan akhir peserta didik, dan teks identifikasi konsistensi konsepsi, 2) produk E-CDCCText termasuk dalam kategori valid untuk digunakan, 3) E-CDCCText yang lebih efektif memfasilitasi learning progression peserta didik pada tipe berprogres dengan baik terkait konsep-konsep pada materi hukum Newton, dan 4) E-CDCCText lebih efektif dalam memfasilitasi konsistensi konsepsi ilmiah peserta didik pada tipe memiliki konsistensi konsepsi ilmiah terkait konsep-konsep pada materi hukum Newton. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, telah dihasilkan E-CDCCText yang mampu memfasilitasi learning progression dan konsistensi konsepsi peserta didik.
Physics learning activities need to facilitating the diversity of students' conceptions to achieve scientific conceptions. Text mode is one of the modes of learning activities. This study aims to produce a valid and tested E-CDCCText product in facilitating learning progression and the consistency of students' scientific conception on Newton's law material. E-CDCCText is the text of conception development and conception change that can be accessed online through electronic device browsers such as computers, laptops, or smartphones. This research is development research with a mixed-method through sequential exploratory design. The research participants in the implementation stage were 32 students of Class X MIPA at one of the high schools in Yogyakarta who were selected using random sampling techniques for the class. The state of students' conceptions before, during, and after the E-CDCCText activity was diagnosed using parallel conception tests in the four-tier test format related to Newton's law. Learning progression of students is analyzed based on changes in the conception of students before, during, and after E-CDCCText activities. The consistency of students 'conceptions is analyzed based on the state of students' conceptions after the E-CDCCText activity and within a certain period after the E-CDCCText activity. Based on research conducted produced: 1) E-CDCCText on Newton's law material consisting of eight parts of text including introductory texts and identification of students' initial conceptions, conceptual development texts, the text of re-identification of student conception, the text of conception confrontation, conceptual change texts, texts statement of conception change, students' final state identification texts, and conception consistency identification text, 2) E-CDCCText product is included in the valid category, 3) E-CDCCText which is more effective in facilitating learning progression learners of the type well progression related to the concept Newton's law material, and 4) E-CDCCText is more effective in facilitating the consistency of students' scientific conceptions on types having the consistency of scientific conceptions related to concepts on Newton's law material. Based on these results, E-CDCCText has been produced which is able to facilitate the learning progression and the consistency of students’ conceptions
THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING EQUIPMENT BASED ON NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TO INCREASE MOTIVATION AND PHYSICS LEARNING RESULT OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) yang layak untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik SMA aspek kognitif, 2) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik SMA yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT, dan 3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar materi pokok fluida statis peserta didik SMA pada aspek kognitif yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (RD) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Tahap define dilakukan untuk mendefinisikan permasalahan. Tahap design dilakukan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penelitian dan rancangan awal perangkat pembelajaran. Tahap develop dilakukan untuk menghasilkan perangkatb pembelajaran yang sudah direvisi berdasarkan komentar dan saran dari validator ahli dan validator praktisi, uji lapangan terbatas, serta uji lapangan luas. Tahap disseminate dilakukan untuk penyebaran perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dalam skala yang lebih luas. Dari penelitian ini dapat dihasilkan: 1) perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif materi pokok fluida statis berupa RPP, LDPD, dan instrumen penilaian hasil belajar aspek kognitif dengan kategori sangat baik dan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik, 2) peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik berdasarkan nilai standard gain pada uji lapangan terbatas sebesar 0,03 (rendah) serta pada uji lapangan luas sebesar 0,002 (rendah), dan 3) peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada aspek kognitif berdasarkan nilai standard gain pada uji lapangan terbatas sebesar 0,56 (sedang) serta pada uji lapangan luas sebesar 0,51 (sedang). Kata kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, Numbered Head Together (NHT), hasil belajar, motivasi belajar Abstract This research is aimed to: 1) produce learning equipment based on Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model which valid to increase motivation and physics learning result in cognitive aspect of senior high school students, 2) know the increase of physics learning motivation of senior high school students who used learning equipment based on NHT cooperative learning model, and 3) know the increase of static fluid learning result in cognitive aspect of senior high school students who used learning equipment based on NHT cooperative learning model. This research is development research (RD) with 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate) models. The design phase was done to define the problems. Design phase was done to develope research instruments and initial design of learning equipments. The develop phase was done to produce learning equipment which were revised based on comments and suggestions from an expert validator dan practitioner validator, limited field test, and extensive field test. The disseminate phase was done to distribute of learning equipment based on NHT cooperative learning model in wider scale. From this research can be produced: 1) static fluid cooperative learning equipment in form of RPP, LDPD, and cognitive assessment instrument with very good criteria and suitable to increase learning motivation and student learning result in cognitive aspect, 2) the increasing of students learning motivation based on standard gain in a limited field test is 0,03 (low) and in extensive field test is 0,002 (low), and 3) the increasing of learning result in cognitive aspect of students based on standard gain in limited field test is 0,56 (medium) and in extensive field test is 0,51 (medium). Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
