Differencesin Variations of Qira'at al-Sab' Tariq al-Shatibiyyah in Usul al-Qira'at based on verses 1-31 in Surah al-Baqarah
Learning Qira'at al-Sab' Tariq al-Shatibiyyah is the foundation of the study of the science of Qira'at. This is due to the recitation, and the source is only available through one tariq. Therefore, the focus of this study is analysing the difference in the variation of Qira'at al-Sab' based on Tariq al-Shatibiyyah in Usul al-Qira'at based on verses 1-31 of Surah al-Baqarah and it does not involve Tariq Tayyibat al-Nashr which includes various tariqs. This study was conducted based on a qualitative research approach. It focused on the differences in manhaj in Usul al-Qira'at for the seven popular Qira'at Imams. It involves data collection methods based on library research or documentation studying related materials and documents. The data were analysed based on inductive and deductive approaches. The study of Qira'at al-Sab' is closely associated with the variety of recitations of the Qur'an that are recognised and practised in the Islamic tradition. Although essential, this field faces several challenges categorised as theoretical, practical, and societal perception problems. The results of the study can help individuals who study the Ilmu Qira'at know the difference between the variations of Qira'at al-Sab' Tariq al-Shatibiyyah in Usul al-Qira'at and then be able to practice it in the verses involved in this study
Pomegranate peel and peel extracts: Chemistry and food features
The present review focuses on the nutritional, functional and anti-infective properties of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) peel (PoP) and peel extract (PoPx) and on their applications as food additives, functional food ingredients or biologically active components in nutraceutical preparations. Due to their well-known ethnomedical relevance and chemical features, the biomolecules available in PoP and PoPx have been proposed, for instance, as substitutes of synthetic food additives, as nutraceuticals and chemopreventive agents. However, because of their astringency and anti-nutritional properties, PoP and PoPx are not yet considered as ingredients of choice in food systems. Indeed, considering the prospects related to both their health promoting activity and chemical features, the nutritional and nutraceutical potential of PoP and PoPx seems to be still underestimated. The present review meticulously covers the wide range of actual and possible applications (food preservatives, stabilizers, supplements, prebiotics and quality enhancers) of PoP and PoPx components in various food products. Given the overall properties of PoP and PoPx, further investigations in toxicological and sensory aspects of PoP and PoPx should be encouraged to fully exploit the health promoting and technical/economic potential of these waste materials as food supplements
Camel's milk concentrate inhibits streptozotocin induced diabetes
The hypoglycemic effect of different forms of camel milk, i.e., pasteurized (CM), powdered (PcM) and evaporated (EcM) in a rat model of chemically-induced diabetes was studied. Diabetes was induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (65 mg/kg b.w.). Diabetic rats were supplemented with CM (ad lib), PcM (18.4 g/kg b.w.) and EcM (12.2 g/kg b.w.) for a period of 21 days. EcM feeding was found to normalize serum glucose, triglycerides, LDL-cholesterol, serum creatinine, bilirubin, uric acid and liver enzymes levels. On the other hand, CM and PcM feeding did not reduce the levels of serum glucose, lipids, and kidney and liver function markers to their normal values. Accordingly, histopathological examinations also showed visible signs of pancreatic β-cells repair with mild cellular atrophy in EcM fed diabetic rats. The data suggested that low temperature processed milk-concentrate consumption may represent a complimentary approach to maintaining normal serum glucose levels and securing optimal renal and hepatic function with diabetes
طارق اسماعیل ساگر کے ناول”وطن کی مٹی گواہ رہنا “میں جذبہ حب الوطنی
Tariq Ismail sagar is a renowned novel writer of Urdu literature. Noval” watan Ki miti gwah rihna” advert exploits of the Pak spy and praised their contributions. Additionally, the novel also discusses the national tragedy of the fall of Bengal. Patriotism refers to a person’s love for their own country. The personality and art of Tariq Ismail sagar are brimming with astrong sense of patriotism. This trait is evident throughout this novel too. The author has used this novel as a means to promote patriotism and convey a message to the nation
Antioxidant, Antimicrobial and Urease Inhibitory Activities of Phenolics-Rich Pomegranate Peel Hydro-Alcoholic Extracts
This study was aimed at exploring biological properties of PoP for their potential use as an ingredient of choice in nutraceuticals and ethnic drug formulations. Pomegranate peel extracts (PoPx), derived from hydro-alcoholic extracts were evaluated for antioxidant, antimicrobial and potential antiulcer properties. Higher levels of total phenolics (427.19 mgGAE/g of extracts) recovered from hydro-alcoholic extracts exhibited significant (P < 0.05) ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radicals scavenging activity. PoPx inhibited urease activity by 97.9% and IC50 for all extracts was estimated to be in a range of 30–44.4 μM. Potent inhibitory effects of PoP extracts were observed against Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium and Aspergillus niger and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was recorded between 0.25–0.89 mg/mL. The study indicates that PoPx of the white rind cultivar is a potential source of active biomolecules that could further be explored as a source of bioactive compounds and therapeutic agent against various ailments.
Practical Applications
The findings of this study propose PoP of white rind cultivar as valuable waste of pomegranate juice processing industry. The proposed methodology for PoPx recovery and the bioactivities reported could equally benefit the processors for low cost recovery of protective biomolecules. The study further defines admissible levels of extracts being exploited by the industry for manufacturing nutraceuticals, functional food preparations and designing ethnopharmacological drugs of choice

The Latin American Challenge: Chavez, Morales, Castro
Tariq Ali, political activist and author, talked about an emergent challenge to neo-liberalism and the Washington consensus in Latin America. He discussed the democratic legitimacy of the Venezuelan regime and the failed attempts to topple Hugo Chavez whose Bolivarian Project provides an alternative social vision to that of the United States. He also talked about Chavez’s indirect interventions in U.S. politics. He argued that what is happening in Latin America represents a growing crisis for the U.S. The accompanying audio file provides the complete recording of the talk given by the author. Coffee in cancer chemoprevention: an updated review
Chemoprevention of cancer refers to the use of natural or synthetic compounds to abolish or perturb a variety of steps in tumor initiation, promotion, and progression. This can be realized through different mechanisms, including activation of free radical scavenging enzymes, control of chronic inflammation, and downregulation of specific signaling pathways
The Experience of Regional Transformation of Islamic Political Thought in Europe: Tariq Ramadan
