No full textUMAT Islam sepatutnya memahami konteks dan suasana masyarakat Islam masa kini sebelum menentukan sebarang perancangan dan strategi berkaitan hal ehwal keagamaan. Penelitian dan kajian secara terperinci berdasarkan kepada fakta amat diperlukan jika ingin melakukan sebarang reformasi berkaitan dengan kegiatan dan perancangan yang ingin dilaksanakan terhadap umat Islam.
Jika kegiatan dan perancangan yang dilaksanakan oleh kerajaan terdahulu tidak mendatangkan sebarang kerugian kepada umat Islam, maka kegiatan tersebut sepatutnya diteruskan setelah memperbaiki beberapa kelemahan yang wujud.

No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan agar kita memahami bagaimana pentingnya sejarah tentang kebudayaan Islam, yang dengan ini kita dapat mengetahui bagaimana sejarah tentang perjuangan para Nabi untuk memperjuangkan agama kita dari zaman mereka hingga saat ini. Salah satu sejarah yang dapat kita ketahui yaitu sejarah tentang Perkembangan Islam Periode/ Zaman Keemasan (Pada tahun 650 M – 1250 M ) Bani Abbasiyah, yang mana Pemerintahan dinasti Abbasiyah dinisbatkan kepada Al- Abbas, paman Rasulullah, sementara Khalifah pertama dari pemerintahan ini adalah Abdullah Ash- Sahffah bin Muhammad bin Ali Bin Abdulah bin Abbas bin Abdul Muthalib.Pada tahun 132 H/750 M, oleh Abul abbas Ashsaffah,dan sekaligus sebagai khalifah pertama. Selama lima Abad dari tahun 132-656 H (750 M- 1258 M). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah sosial. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dan disajikan secara deskriptif dengan cara memilih topik, mengumpulkan sumber, memverifikasi data, menginterpretasikannya dan untuk selanjutnya dilakukan rekonstruksi agar menjadi penjelasan yang utuh dan komprehensif sehingga mudah dimengerti dan dipahami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pada zaman keemasan ini kita dapat mengetahui sejarah berdirinya Dinasti Abbasiyah beserta Khalifah-Khalifah bani Abbasiyah begitu pula dengan bagaimana runtuhnya Dinasti Abbasiyah tersebut yang kita ketahui bahwa itu terdapat karena dua faktor tertentu yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal

during the period September 1975 through May 1976 is presented. During this nine month
internship the author worked as an Engineer II in the Industrial Processes discipline of this
large consulting engineering firm... The author's prime responsibility was as one of three
lead design engineers on the design of a large wastewater treatment facility for a pulp mill
in Hoquiam, Washington owned by ITT Rayonier Inc. The work generally consisted of the design
of individual treatment units and associated piping and pumping. The purpose of the project
was to provide wastewater treatment capabilities that would satisfy the effluent limitations
(standards) imposed upon the mill by the State of Washington Department of Ecology and the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The author's assignment also entailed necessary
interaction with the project manager and other CH���M HILL design engineers and support staff
members, the client's representatives, and representatives of two other consulting engineering
firms working on the project. Thus, the internship position at CH���M HILL provided considerable
experience coordinating the author's work with the work of other engineers, guiding the design
and administrative efforts of a support staff, and interacting regularly with the client and
other consulting firms. This broad exposure to a variety of engineering and organizational
problems provided a valuable educational experience

Pemisahan antara suami isteri dan anak-anak lantaran salah seorang daripada ahlinya memeluk agama lain boleh meruntun hati ahli keluarganya. Perkara seperti ini sepatutnya difahami oleh umat Islam supaya tindak-tanduk mereka tidak mengundang perspektif negatif terhadap Islam

Metodologi Kajian Islam; Perspektif Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi’
No full textIslamic studies (dirosah islamiyyah) should be carried out and developed dynamically like scientific studies in general. But unfortunately on the contrary, Islamic studies seem to have stagnated or not experienced significant progress amidst various social issues that continue to develop. Even when there are Islamic studies conducted by Muslim insiders, they often appear dull and poor in approach and methodology. Islamic studies should be open to the methods and approaches currently being developed. Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi tries to open up this void through his study of the history of Islamic thought and awakens intellectuals so that they fully understand the role and importance of advancing Islamic studies. The scientific opinion is currently being developed. Problems that are increasingly complicated and complex cannot be explained satisfactorily by classical Islamic research theories that rely solely on textual research. According to him, Islamic studies must be open to contemporary scientific disciplines.Kajian Islam (dirosah islamiyyah) harusnya dijalankan dan dikembangkan secara dinamis seperti kajian ilmiah pada umumnya. Namun sayang sebaliknya, kajian Islam tampak mengalami stagnasi atau tidak mengalami kemajuan berarti di tengah berbagai isu sosial yang terus berkembang. Bahkan ketika ada kajian Islam yang dilakukan oleh orang dalam Muslim (insider), mereka sering nampak membosankan dan miskin dalam pendekatan dan metodologi. Kajian Islam hendaknya terbuka terhadap metode dan pendekatan yang sedang berkembang saat ini. Ibrahim M. Abu Rabi berusaha membuka kekosongan tersebut melalui kajiannya tentang sejarah pemikiran Islam dan menyadarkan kaum intelektual agar memahami sepenuhnya peran dan pentingnya dalam memajukan kajian Islam. Pendapat ilmiah saat ini sedang dikembangkan. Persoalan yang semakin pelik dan kompleks tidak dapat dijelaskan secara memuaskan oleh teori-teori penelitian Islam klasik yang hanya mengandalkan penelitian tekstual. Simulation of thermal plant optimization and hydraulic aspects of thermal distribution loops for large campuses
No full textFollowing an introduction, the author describes Texas A&M University and its utilities system. After that, the author presents how to construct simulation models for chilled water and heating hot water distribution systems. The simulation model was used in a $2.3 million Ross Street chilled water pipe replacement project at Texas A&M University. A second project conducted at the University of Texas at San Antonio was used as an example to demonstrate how to identify and design an optimal distribution system by using a simulation model. The author found that the minor losses of these closed loop thermal distribution systems are significantly higher than potable water distribution systems. In the second part of the report, the author presents the latest development of software called the Plant Optimization Program, which can simulate cogeneration plant operation, estimate its operation cost and provide optimized operation suggestions. The author also developed detailed simulation models for a gas turbine and heat recovery steam generator and identified significant potential savings. Finally, the author also used a steam turbine as an example to present a multi-regression method on constructing simulation models by using basic statistics and optimization algorithms. This report presents a survey of the author??s working experience at the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL) at Texas A&M University during the period of January 2002 through March 2004. The purpose of the above work was to allow the author to become familiar with the practice of engineering. The result is that the author knows how to complete a project from start to finish and understands how both technical and nontechnical aspects of a project need to be considered in order to ensure a quality deliverable and bring a project to successful completion. This report concludes that the objectives of the internship were successfully accomplished and that the requirements for the degree of Degree of Engineering have been satisfied
Pesantren Mlangi: Poros Spiritual Intelektual Islam di Yogyakarta Abad XVIII – XIX M
No full textKajian ini menjelaskan tentang Mlangi sebagai poros spiritual intelektual Islam di Yogyakarta pada abad ke-18-19 M. Desa Mlangi merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, yang dikenal karena banyak santri belajar di Pesantren Mlangi. Pesantren Mlangi telah ada sejak abad ke-18 dan berperan besar dalam menjaga spiritual-intelektual Islam pada masyarakat Yogyakarta pada abad ke-18-19 M hingga sekarang. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini menjadi menarik dikaji untuk mengetahui bagaimana pesantren Mlangi menjadi poros spiritual-intelektual Islam Yogyakarta Abad ke-18-19 M. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri aktifitas spiritual-intelektual yang dilakukan di Pesantren Mlangi di Yogyakarta pada abad ke-18-19 M. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Pesantren Mlangi mampu menjadi poros spiritual-intelektual Islam Yogyakarta abad ke-18-19 M dengan adanya pembangunan Pathok Negoro, pengajaran ilmu agama Islam yang terintegrasikan antara akidah ahlussunnah wal jama’ah dengan madzhab syafii dan tasawuf, serta pembinaan kader-kader ulama dan pejuang.

No full textThe development of information and communication technologies (ICT) brings about considerable changes in the ways public administration provides information and delivers services to citizens, businesses, and other public administrations. This chapter reviews the application of ICT in the provision of public administration services. E-government tools have been implemented in various countries in the world and enabled the strengthening of existing public administration services and the activation of innovative ones. M-government tools, which are related to the emergence and diffusion of Internet mobile technology and devices, allow to both overcome infrastructure deficits and provide innovative services which are particularly sensitive to users' context conditions. Finally, l-government tools – i.e., ubiquitous, seamless, user-centric, and automated application of Internet technology to public administration services – have the potential to further redefine the terms of access of users to public administration services and to enhance the ties between citizens and businesses and the government

No full textThis article would explain the testament of the testamentary gift Number: 69/Pdt.G/2009/PN.Pdg., in the Padang District Court. As for the background of this research is the settlement of the will between the people of Islam, but decided by the district court, so there are some irregularities, both in terms of formal law and Islamic law. This research is a normative legal research with data analysis method in the form of content analysis. Based on the results of the decision are considered appropriate by the panel of judges who completed the case. Although there are no legal remedies from the parties against the decision of the district court judge, from the perspective of Islamic law the decision is still contrary to what should apply to people of Islam.
