"The Fiscal Investment and Loan Program in Transition"
This paper discusses the adequacy of the activities of the Fiscal Investment Loan Program agencies after the fundamental reform in April 2001, which disconnected postal savings and public pension reserves from the FILP. It is found that many ideas of justifying the government interventions to the financial sector have now lost their relevancy. The activity of government financial intermediaries should be streamlined. Among infrastructure construction projects, the most serious part of welfare loss lies on national motorway construction, which is estimated to be about 14.5 trillion yen of welfare loss.

Paepalanthus strictus Koern.
Paepalanthus strictus Koern. in Martius & Eichler, Fl. Bras. 3(1): 319 (1863) ≡ Dupatya stricta (Koern.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen. Pl. 2: 746 (1891). Type: BRAZIL. Minas Gerais: “Crescenti in prov. Minarum”, s.d., Gardner 5258 (lectotype, here designated: B!, duplicates: G!, P!). Koernicke (1963) described Paepalanthus strictus based on two collections. The specimen Gardner 5258 in B is more complete and contains annotations by the author, thus is here designated as the lectotype.Published as part of Trovó, Marcelo & Sano, Paulo Takeo, 2010, Taxonomic survey of Paepalanthus section Diphyomene (Eriocaulaceae), pp. 49-55 in Phytotaxa 14 on page 54, DOI: 10.11646/phytotaxa.14.1.4, http://zenodo.org/record/477875

Periprosthetic acetabular bone loss using a constrained acetabular component
This is the author-created version of Springer, Ito, Hiroshi ; Matsuno, Takeo,Archives of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, 124(2), 2004, 137-139. The original publication is available at www.springerlink.com.
authorWe describe two patients with a constrained acetabular component who required treatment for recurrent dislocation showing postoperative periprosthetic acetabular bone loss. These hips required revision surgery and demonstrated considerable bone loss caused by the migrated acetabular component. Impingement may have occurred with increased stress at the bone-prosthesis interface, and the sharp ends of screws with a metal shell may have gradually plowed up the acetabular bone. These failures illustrate the potential risk of using a constrained acetabular component
Percutaneous nephrolithotomy by electrohydraulic shock wave
Twelve patients underwent percutaneous nephrolithotomy in our hospital. Six of these patients had stone disintegration by electrohydraulic shock wave. The procedure was safe and effective for achieving rapid stone disintegration. Translocation of the stone fragments and central metal core of the probe left in the ureter were clinical problems. However, they passed spontaneously. Usefulness and problems of electrohydraulic lithotripsy were discussed

Do different types of VR influence pedestrian route choice behaviour? A comparison study of Desktop VR and HMD VR
Virtual Reality (VR) is a valuable tool for studying pedestrian behaviour in complex and realistic scenarios. However, it has remained unknown how different VR technology would influence pedestrian behaviour. This paper presents VR experiments that were conducted with 70 participants using a desktop VR or a HMD VR to perform four different wayfinding tasks in a multi-story building. Quantitative analysis of pedestrian behaviour data and user experience data were performed in order to investigate the impact of the technological differences between the two VR techniques. It was found that participants had better wayfinding task performance in the desktop group. However, the route and exit choice and user experience were overall similar between the two groups. The findings suggest that one could adopt more ‘simple’ VR technologies for studies featuring ‘simple’ wayfinding tasks.Accepted Author ManuscriptTransport and Plannin
