Conception of Motion as Newton Law Implementation among Students of Physics Education
No full textAbstract: This present research was conducted due to students difficulty found in explaining physis meaning of Newton Law although they are capable of writing its mathematical representation. Multiple choices of identification test on Newton Law regarding motion were given to students who are registered in Basic Mechanics and Physics I academic year 2016/2017. The analysis was based on student answers and the level of student confidence in the correctness of the answers in quantitative descriptive and qualitative. The results of the analysis of identification tests were reinforced by thinking map of Newton's laws of student presentation and followed up by interviews. The results of this study indicate that students' conceptions of motion and Newton's laws is limited. Prospective teacher students need to learn and comprehend the applied concepts of Motion and Newton's Law and influenced by common sense.
Abstract: Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan tes identifikasi aplikasi hukum-hukum Newton tentang gerak kepada mahasiswa berupa soal pilihan ganda pada mahasiswa yang terdaftar pada matakuliah Mekanika dan Fisika Dasar I tahun akademik 2016/2017.Analisis didasarkan pada jawaban mahasiswa dan tingkat kepercayaan mahasiswa terhadap kebenaran jawabannya secara kuantitatif deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis tes identifikasi diperkuat dengan thinking map hukum-hukum Newton sajian mahasiswa dan ditindaklanjuti dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsepsi mahasiswa tentang gerak dan hukum-hukum Newton dalam kategori “Kurang Paham”. Get PDFAbstract: This research to determine the feasibility, effectiveness of teaching materials measuring instrument and measurement physics in increasing science process skills and mastery of concepts students. The research design using the design development of Borg & Gall. The effectiveness of teaching materials tested under 2 steps, before the mid-term exam and final exam of the semester. The research showed that the teaching materials of measurement and instrument measurement of physics-based guided inquiry developed,: 1) is under fairly feasible category to be implemented, 2) adequates to improve the process science skills of students, 3) improves mastery of concepts. Step one indicates the presence of correlation between science process skills and mastery concept of the students. The next step shows no correlation between them.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan, keefektifan bahan ajar alat ukur dan pengukuran fisika dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain pengembangan Borg & Gall. Keefektifan bahan ajar diuji dalam 2 tahap, yakni menjelang ujian tengan semester dan sebelum ujian akhir semester. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar alat ukur dan pengukuran fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang telah dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik: 1) dalam kategori cukup layak untuk diimplementasikan, 2) meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa, 3) meningkatkan penguasaan konsep. Tahap satu menunjukkan terdapatnya korelasi antara keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa. Tahap dua menunjukkan tidak terdapat korelasi antara keterampilan proses sains dengan penguasaan konsep.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Subjek uji coba kelayakan produk akan diterapkan pada siswa kelas XI MA AL-Azhar dengan jumlah siswa 17 anak.Penelitian media Story book ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Desain, Development, Implementasi dan Evaluation). Teknik pengambilan data pada media Story book mengunakan data kuantitatif yang berupa skor validator ahli media, ahli materi, respon guru dan respon siswa untuk mengetahui kelayakan pada media pembeljaran Story book berbasis Islamic learning. Ahli media dan ahli matei dilakukan oleh dosen.Hasil penelitian berupa produk media pembelajaran Story book berbasis Islamic learning yang berupa buku dalam bentuk link dengan tampilan menggunakan flip PDF Profesional. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi produk dinyatakan sangat layak dengan skor 3,33. Sedangkan respon guru dan siswa dinyatakan sangat layak dengan skor 3,36. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Story book berbasis Islamic learning dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran kelas X IPA dalam kegiatan pembelajaran
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
