The purpose of this research was to analyze the learning process of electrolysis cell matter which covered the planning, implementation, and evaluation; and analysis of theunderstanding of students’ concept (conception)  as well as the finding of the cause of the misconceptions and not understanding in matter of electrolysis cell. The study used was descriptive analysis. It was used to answer the problem’s formulation in this study. The object of this research were the process of learning and students’ conceptions. The subjects of this study were students in grade XII IA I and IA II and chemistry teacher in grade XII IA at SMAN 1  Panti. Instruments in this study were the observation guide, a recorder (Handycam) and two tier diagnostic test.Based on the data analysis, it is found that (1) learning process in the electrolysis cell matter in SMAN 1 Panti was not in accordance with the standards of process (2) Students IA I and IA II had misconceptions and did not understand the whole concept in electrolysis cell matter. (3) The cause of misconceptions and not understanding of students were mainly the teachers and students. The learning process should be conducted in accordance with the standards of process that has been established by government in order to ensure learning carried out effectively, so the quality of learning can be improved. This research focuses on the correlation among underweight babies at birth (BBLR) with Giving Fe pills, parity, Ante Natal Care (ANC) and Age women of giving birth. Though the cause of stunting is multi-factorial, BBLR is one of the causes stunting. So it is important to investigate deeply BBLR itself. Based on any references, BBLR is caused by many factors as well. Anemia acute happened to the pregnant women, long stress the pregnant women which make them lost appetite and age of women relatively take effect of BBLR. This study uses Demographic and Health Survey 2017 as secondary data. Based on it, there were 340 respondents and 355 births. The total population who suffered stunting is 5,4% of 355 births. From 5,4% BBLR was occurred at under 20 old women, birth order (parity). The result of the study, there is no correlation among Fe pill, parity, ANC and age women at first-time birth to the BBLR even though in many references four variables closely related. As follow up, this secondary data research should be verified by primary data

Determination of pH-BOD-COD and degradation in batang arau watersheds at Padang city

This research aims to determine the pH, BOD and COD in river basin region and its relation to the occurrence of damage to the environment. The study was conducted by sampling at six locations representing the upstream region, the central region and the region downstream/estuary for four years, from 2011 until 2014. The sampling locations in the watershed Batang Arau at Padang city, include Lubuk Paraku (section 1), Banyan Lubuk Kilangan (section 2), the center, Bridges Lubeg by pass (section 3), Bridge Aur Duri / Pulau Aia (section 4), downstream, Bridges Aru Padang (section 5) and Muaro Bridge Siti Nurbaya (section 6 ). In the Upstream, for the parameters pH, BOD and COD in 2011 to 2014 received a range of changes in pH of 6-9, unless the parameters BOD in 2012 of about 4.35 mg/L. In the central region (middlestream), namely BOD content of 4.35 mg/L (2011), 4.54 mg/L (2012), 3.36 mg/L (2013) and 2.56 mg/L (2014), approaching the quality standards was set at 3 mg/L. While the pH and COD are below the quality standards every year. In the downstream, the results of BOD of 17.21 mg/L (2011), 21.25 mg/L (2012), 5.04 mg/L (2013) and 3.42 mg/L (2014). Meanwhile, COD 47.5 mg/L (2011), 57.76 mg/L (2012), 11.17 mg/L (2013) and 20, 5 mg/L (2014), while the quality standards for COD by 25 mg/L, and pH parameters within normal limits. From this research, we reported that watersheds degradation has been in downstream area (section 5 and 6), but in upstream and middlestream was still normally and not degraded

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
