BABBEL APPLICATION TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' VOCABULARIES
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Babbel untuk meningkatkan kosa kata siswa di kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian quasi-experimental. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah dua kelas yang terdiri dari 80 siswa yang terbagi dalam kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Kedua kelompok diuji sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, tes meliputi pre-test dan post-test yang terdiri atas 50 item soal sebagai alat ukur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai rata-rata post-test kedua kelompok, nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol sebesar 60.25, sedangkan nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen sebesar 80.35. Selanjutnya pada uji t, nilai signifikansi kelompok eksperimen melebihi kelompok kontrol, nilai signifikansi kelompok eksperimen sebesar .000, sedangkan nilai signifikansi kelompok kontrol sebesar 1.75. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Babbel efektif meningkatkan kosakata siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Gowa bila dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Abstract: This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Babbel application to improve the students vocabularies of class X at SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. This study used a quasi-experimental research method. Participants in this study were two classes consisting of 80 students divided into control and experimental groups. Both groups were tested before and after treatment, the tests included a pre-test and post-test which consisted of 50 items as a measuring tool. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the post-test average scores of the two groups, the control group's average score was 60.25, while the experimental group's average score was 80.35. Furthermore, in the t test, the significance value of the experimental group exceeded the control group, the experimental group's significance value was .000, while the control group's significance value was 1.75. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the use of the Babbel application is effective in increasing the students vocabularies of class X at SMA Negeri 1 Gowa compares to conventional methods
Using Kids Coloring Fun Application to enhance Children Vocabulary Mastery at Tumbuh Kembang Kindergarten
The research was mainly discussing the use of Kids Coloring Fun Application to enhance the vocabulary mastery of children in the Tumbuh Kembang Kindergarten. The researchers selected the sample from the population by using total sampling technique. The number of the sample was 40 children. This research was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest. The group was tested after treatment, the test included pretest and posttest that consisted of 25 items. The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of pretest and posttest. The mean score of posttest was greater than the mean score of pretest. The means score of pretest was 5.06 and the mean score of posttest was 8.07. Then, the T-test value was 25.5 and T-table value was 2.042 with df = 39 and α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of Kids Coloring Fun Application can enhance children vocabularies. It means that there is a significant difference (H1) of the children vocabularies before and after treatment by using Kids Coloring Fun Application.  
ARIES App in Academic Writing Class: Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Analysis
The research aims to investigate ARIES app acceptance in academic writing class. In the university, one of the skills that must be learned is academic writing. Most jobs require strong academic writing skill, lecturers are obligated to equip students to become professional writers to enter the future career. The various applications provide benefits for students, the fact that students spend more time in existing technology and show mastery of information technology provide opportunities for lecturers to motivate students who have no motivation to write. Lecturers have implemented ARIES (Assisted Revision In English Style) to improve students academic writing, the researchers explore Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which is intended to analyze the acceptance of students on information system. The total samples are 25 students from English education department Universitas Islam Makassar. The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. The finding shows that there was a positive response to the acceptance of Aries App in all contexts, Aries App provided new atmosphere for students in academic writing. Additionally, from interview, students emphasized that using the Aries App made students possible to complete academic writing given by the lecturer anywhere and anytime. In the conclusion, the students acceptance of Aries App relates to behavior performed by students.  
Applying Youtube Kids to Foster Children Vocabulary Mastery at Ihya Al-Ulum Kindergarten
The research was generally discussing the use of Youtube Kids to foster the vocabulary mastery of children at Ihya Al-Ulum Kindergarten. The researchers selected the sample from the population by using total sampling technique. The number of the sample was 25 children. This research was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest. The group was tested after treatment, the test included pretest and posttest that consisted of 25 items. The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of pretest and posttest. The mean score of posttest was greater than the mean score of pretest. The means score of pretest was 51.7 and the mean score of posttest was 66.1. Then, the T-test value was 6.65 and T-table value was 1.699 with df = 24 and α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the use of Youtube Kids can foster children vocabulary mastery. It means that there is a significant difference (H1) of the children vocabulary mastery before and after treatment by using Youtube Kids
PENGUATAN PEMBELAJARAN APRESISASI SASTRA MELALUI PELATIHAN MEMBACA PUISI
Melihat penguatan pembelajaran apresiasi sastra sebagai sebuah kebutuhan bagi siswa di sekolah maka dosen wajib untuk memberikan pengetahuan terkait apresiasi sastra agar kualitas lulusan semakin meningkat sekaligus memperkuat literasi siswa. Pengajaran terkait apresiasi sastra bukan hal baru, namun siswa bisa dikatakan minim mendapatkannya sehingga tim pengabdian berinisiatif untuk mengadakan pelatihan membaca puisi sebagai salah satu bentuk apresiasi terhadap karya sastra. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pemaparan materi dan praktik serta Focus Grup Discussion. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan selama pelatihan membaca puisi, siswa mendapatkan pengetahuan baru terkait membaca puisi, respon positif sesudah pelatihan juga tampak dari hasil Focus Grup Discussion, apresiasi siswa terhadap karya sastra semakin kuat dengan mengenal puisi
Melacak Political Linkage Gerakan Islam Politik dalam Partai-partai Islam di Negara-negara Mayoritas Muslim : Studi tentang PKS dan AKP di Indonesia dan Turki
This study seeks to carry out a critical analysis of the political Islam platform promoted by the PKS (Justice and Prosperity Party), Indonesia and the Justice Party and Development of the AKP (Adalet Kalkinma Partition), Turkey, by tracing political linkage to both parties. PKS and AKP are major Islamic parties in the world that have so far successfully fought in electoral competitions.
How to use the mass base and Islamic sentiment in liberal parliamentary struggle is their biggest challenge. Comparison will be made to find the common thread concerning Islamic-style populism with the electoral strategy
they use. Political Islam can ultimately be understood not only from the categories of morality, ethics, or religion, but also on the objective category based on political realism. The author believes that this theme is important
and interesting after examining the development of identity politics movements that have occurred not only in Indonesia but also in several other countries in the world in the last 10 years. Analysis of the AKP and PKS must,however, be understood in two aspects, namely, first, a cross-over between liberal democracy and Islamic activism, and secondly, the tendency to change the political strategy of the Islamic party. The interplay between the interests
of electoral achievement and the ideological vision is a big and dynamic dilemma. Of the various methods available, the research team in this study use qualitative research methods. Data is obtained through a literature review
or study of relevant literature such as books, journals, news websites, or thesis or dissertation works. As for author's hypothesis is that first, PKS and AKP
have political linkage in three things, first, the political vision of Islam which is heavily influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood movement, second, the construction of civil networks and organizations, and third, electoral
strategies and compromise on liberal democracy. PKS and AKP in the end have been conditioned by a number of compromises and political pragmatism. Both are forced to adapt substantially in terms of changes in party models to be
more open and plural. Thus, there is a convergence between political Islam and the flow of liberal democracy based on the typical political situation in Indonesia and Turkey
DEMISTIFIKASI MEMUDARNYA PERAN NEGARA DALAM NEOLIBERALISME (Perdagangan Bebas dan Konflik Antar Negara dibawah Rezim WTO)
World economic order after the ratification of GATT (General Agreement On Tarrifs and Trade) shows some contractions and a number of controversies. The broadening of trade agenda in Uruguay round was a new phase of agreement among the countries. Ministerial meeting 1986 produced a declaration called Punta del Este. This consensus creates the establishment of WTO as the only multilateral institution to mediate any cooperations of global trade. WTO itself palys its role to sustain and make sure that the agenda of trade liberalization runs optimally. Nevertheless, amids the euphoria of trade liberalization discourse, some problems and polemic come up. They appear due to inconsistency of developed countries which implement protectionism policy on their some sectors of trade. Third world group then build a coalition to refuse every form of deception in free trade policy. This condition has caused the emergence of internal friction in the body of WTO In this paper, the author will try to analyze and explain the dynamic of trade liberalization policy among the countries after the establishment of WTO. The main focus are on 2 questions, first, why is there conflict of interest in WTO?, and second, how is the dialectical relation of protectionism with free trade system between developed countries and developing countries? Subsequently, we will obtain a hypothese that market liberalization is never fully implemented instead. Doctrine of free market and the elimination of trade handicaps are not executed consistently by developed c,ountries. Third world countries even tend to be dictated and suppressed to eliminate all kinds of trade handicaps. This handicap include some regulations like subsidy, tarrief,quota, or taxation. So the consequence is the destruction or domestic market in third world due to their incompetence of capital against MNC and developed countries. Market liberalization under neoliberalism can be stated as a new form of Unilateralism in Economy. Stronger and more advanced countries manage to impose their national interest on many trade agreements. The massive integration of world economy has created disparity and imbalanced competition. World is divided by a world gigantic power of capital which exploit third world. Through the mechanism of capital and trade liberalization, our reality si underpinned by domination and monopoly. Globalization of economy has become a trap for south countries which keeps maintaining wealth accumulation only to few capitalist and developed countries This writting aims to problematize the inconsistent rules implementation within WTO in term of trade policies among countries. Trade liberalization has been mostly taken for granted which in turn covers up certain form of protectionism on some strategic commodities. It has sparked debates about the role of WTO whether it can truly liberalize trade policies or it has surrendered to the strong and significant role of government intervention in advanced countries
PENGUATAN PEMBELAJARAN MAHASISWA MELALUI PELATIHAN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Menyadari pengenalan Learning Management System sebagai sebuah kebutuhan bagi mahasiswa maka dosen wajib untuk membekali mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan tentang Learning Management System sehingga mampu meningkatkan mutu lulusan sekaligus memperkuat literasi digital mahasiswa. Learning Management System bisa dikatakan baru untuk mahasiswa, pelatihan yang didapatkan juga masih minim sehingga tim peneliti berinisiatif untuk mengadakan pelatihan Learning Management System untuk meningkatkan kecakapan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pemaparan materi dan praktik Learning Management System serta Focus Group Discussion. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan selama pelatihan Learning Management System, mahasiswa merasa terbantu dengan pelatihan ini, respon positif sesudah pelatihan juga tampak dari hasil Focus Group Discussion, mereka antusias karena dibekali dengan pelatihan yang berguna dalam pembelajaran dan berharap pelatihan serupa tetap diadakan
PELATIHAN QUIZIZZ SEBAGAI SARANA PENGUATAN LITERASI DIGITAL BAGI MAHASISWA
Di tengah kebijakan Social Distancing atau jaga jarak akibat Covid 19, tanpa disadari baik guru dan siswa di sekolah di tuntut untuk semakin cakap dalam literasi digital. Guru di tuntut untuk semakin kreatif dalam membuat materi pembelajaran dan siswa wajib belajar mandiri di rumah. Melihat fenomena tersebut, guru sebagai fasilitator harus dapat menempatkan E-Learning sebagai pilihan alternatif pembelajaran. Berbagai pihak, terutama Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan wajib membekali mahasiswa sebagai calon pendidik dengan berbagai aplikasi digital terkini. Literasi digital berupa kecakapan dalam pemanfaatan aplikasi dan sumber materi ajar akan mampu mendorong mahasiswa sebagai calon pendidik untuk lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam membuat materi ajar, terlebih lagi adanya aplikasi-aplikasi pengajaran memudahkan mereka dalam manajemen pembelajaran di kelas. Oleh karena itu, di adakan Pelatihan Quizizz yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat literasi digital mahasiswa, pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 29 mahasiswa semester VII Program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP UIM. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan mahasiswa pada umumnya sudah mengetahui ragam E-Learning dan mahasiswa juga menyatakan puas setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini. Selain melihat manfaat aplikasi Quizizz sebagai aplikasi pembelajaran, mereka juga mengungkapkan respon positif apabila aplikasi Quizizz diimplementasikan disekolah ketika mereka menjadi guru. Mahasiswa juga mengungkapkan peran aplikasi Quizizz di dalam penguatan pembelajaran melalui metode blendedlearning yaitu kolaborasi aplikasi Quizizz dengan metode tatap muka di kelas
PENGUATAN KARYA TULIS ILMIAH MAHASISWA MELALUI PELATIHAN SPSS DAN ZOTERO
Melihat karya tulis ilmiah sebagai bagian penting dari syarat kelulusan mahasiswa, dosen wajib membekali mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan terkait referensi dan analisis data agar output penelitian mahasiswa bisa dipertanggungjawbkan secara akademik. Pengetahuan mahasiswa yang minim tidak lepas dari terbatasnya informasi yang mereka dapatkan dan jarangnya pelatihan terkait referensi dan analisis data untuk mereka. Melihat hal tersebut, tim peneliti berinisiatif untuk mengadakan pelatihan aplikasi SPSS dan Zotero untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa terkait referensi dan analisa data. Metode yang digunakan yakni pemaparan materi dan praktik SPSS dan Zotero serta Focus Group Discussion. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan selama pelatihan aplikasi SPSS dan Zotero, mahasiswa sangat antusias dan merasa terbantu serta siap untuk menulis proposal penelitian. Selain melihat manfaat aplikasi SPSS dan Zotero sebagai referensi dan analisa data, mereka juga mengungkapkan respon positif karena telah dibekali kecakapan aplikasi yang selama ini belum pernah mereka dapatkan.
