Porovnani vlivu ruznych druhu umele vyzivy na pooperacni komplikace po velkych chirurgickych vykonech na hornim zazivacim traktu.
Though the present experience prefer early enteral nutrition to total parenteral nutrition, no clear conclusions do not exist for demonstrating the clinical benefit of early postoperative enteral nutrition in patients after major surgical resections of the upper gastrointestinal tract. The aim of the thesis was to compare the clinical impact of various types of the artificial nutrition by comparison of postoperative complications and the return of the peristalsis and to evaluate the tolerance of enteral feeding. The study did not prove any impact of the type of artificial nutrition on clinical outcome in patients after major resections. There was no significant difference in infectious complications in the groups with enteral feeding. The early enteral feeding was tolerated well. The combination of enteral and parenteral nutrition appears to be the best after major surgery of the upper gastrointestinal tract. It is necessary to realize more extensive studies to find out the benefit of various types of artificial nutrition in the postoperative period.Available from STL Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi

Multiculturalism and compassion: Responding to mental health needs among refugees and asylum seekers: Comment on “a crisis of humanitarianism: Refugees at the gates of Europe”
As Fotaki (2019) argues, the current political climate in Europe is threatening principles of humanitarianism, particularly among refugees and asylum seekers. This commentary builds on that argument, with a spotlight on mental health and culturally relevant service design. By addressing some of the barriers faced by refugees and asylum seekers in accessing mental healthcare, we can address inequalities and develop compassionate societies. © 2019 The Author(s)
MYTOLOGICKÉ ASPEKTY KLAMSTVA A PRAVDY V SLOVENSKEJ ĽUDOVEJ A AUTORSKEJ ROZPRÁVKE
In the study the author focuses on the legacy of folktales as represented in a wide scope of traditional and „artistic folktales“ originally aimed at children listeners/readers. In the texts by Pavol Dobsinsky and Samuel Czambel, the author attempted to identify the parallel ideas and also mythological-fairytale parallels related to the themes of selected fairytales and rich in the motifs of truth, justice and also lies and injustice. Characterwise, attention has also been paid to linguistic and stylistic means. Further attention has been paid to pre-set functions of characters in fantasy, heroic and family-social fairytales; the author compared them with more realistic fairytales which often reflect social-economic phenomena as well as attitudes to lies and truth. When characterising the phenomenon of Truth, the author gravely relied on the basic ethical principles of fairytales and these were applied on the well-known fairytale Či jesto pravda na svete (Is there any Truth in the world?) which later served as a prototext for an artistic poetic prose of Milan Rufus. The poet affirmatively processes the prototext, creatively using ethical and humane ideas. Other analysed texts include a modern parodic and nonsense artistic fairytale entitled Rozprávky uja Klobásu (Mr. Saussage‘s Fairytales) by Julius Satinsky, where Lie is a predominant narrator´s standpoint in order to purposely mystify the reader

In-depth interviews with state public health practitioners on the United States National Physical Activity Plan
abstract: Background
The United States National Physical Activity Plan (NPAP; 2010), the country’s first national plan for physical activity, provides strategies to increase population-level physical activity to complement the 2008 physical activity guidelines. This study examined state public health practitioner awareness, dissemination, use, challenges, and recommendations for the NPAP.
Methods
In 2011–2012, we interviewed 27 state practitioners from 25 states. Interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim. Transcripts were coded using a standard protocol, verified and reconciled by an independent coder, and input into qualitative software to facilitate development of common themes.
Results
NPAP awareness was high among state practitioners; dissemination to local constituents varied. Development of state-level strategies and goals was the most frequently reported use of the NPAP. Some respondents noted the usefulness of the NPAP for coalitions and local practitioners. Challenges to the plan included implementation cost, complexity, and consistency with other policies. The most frequent recommendation made was to directly link examples of implementation activities to the plan.
Conclusions
These results provide early evidence of NPAP dissemination and use, along with challenges encountered and suggestions for future iterations. Public health is one of eight sectors in the NPAP. Further efforts are needed to understand uptake and use by other sectors, as well as to monitor long-term relevance, progress, and collaboration across sectors. The electronic version of this article is the complete one and can be found online at: https://ijbnpa.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/1479-5868-10-7
A Systematic Review of Online Sex Addiction and Clinical Treatments Using CONSORT Evaluation
Researchers have suggested that the advances of the Internet over the past two decades have gradually eliminated traditional offline methods of obtaining sexual material. Additionally, research on cybersex and/or online sex addictions has increased alongside the development of online technology. The present study extended the findings from Griffiths’ (2012) systematic empirical review of online sex addiction by additionally investigating empirical studies that implemented and/or documented clinical treatments for online sex addiction in adults. A total of nine studies were identified and then each underwent a CONSORT evaluation. The main findings of the present review provide some evidence to suggest that some treatments (both psychological and/or pharmacological) provide positive outcomes among those experiencing difficulties with online sex addiction. Similar to Griffiths’ original review, this study recommends that further research is warranted to establish the efficacy of empirically driven treatments for online sex addiction
Systematic review and meta-analysis of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation among Ph.D. students
University administrators and mental health clinicians have raised concerns about depression and anxiety among Ph.D. students, yet no study has systematically synthesized the available evidence in this area. After searching the literature for studies reporting on depression, anxiety, and/or suicidal ideation among Ph.D. students, we included 32 articles. Among 16 studies reporting the prevalence of clinically significant symptoms of depression across 23,469 Ph.D. students, the pooled estimate of the proportion of students with depression was 0.24 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.18–0.31; I2 = 98.75%). In a meta-analysis of the nine studies reporting the prevalence of clinically significant symptoms of anxiety across 15,626 students, the estimated proportion of students with anxiety was 0.17 (95% CI, 0.12–0.23; I2 = 98.05%). We conclude that depression and anxiety are highly prevalent among Ph.D. students. Data limitations precluded our ability to obtain a pooled estimate of suicidal ideation prevalence. Programs that systematically monitor and promote the mental health of Ph.D. students are urgently needed
The DSM diagnostic criteria for Female Sexual Arousal Disorder
This article reviews and critiques the DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria for Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (FSAD). An overview of how the diagnostic criteria for FSAD have evolved over previous editions of the DSM is presented and research on prevalence and etiology of FSAD is briefly reviewed. Problems with the essential feature of the DSM-IV-TR diagnosis — “an inability to attain, or to maintain…an adequate lubrication-swelling response of sexual excitement” — are identified. The significant overlap between “arousal” and “desire” disorders is highlighted. Finally, specific recommendations for revision of the criteria for DSM-V are made, including use of a polythetic approach to the diagnosis and the addition of duration and severity criteria
