Development of Product-Based Job Sheet as Instructional Media in Vocational Education
The purpose of this research is to produce a product-based job sheet that can be used as an instructional media on practicum activities. In this study also tested the validity of the job sheet developed. The research method used is research development with a 4D model consisting of define, design, development and disseminate. The research instrument used is a validation sheet consisting of content validation, format, and presentation of the job sheet which is analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. The results showed that 1) the product-based job sheet developed was highly valid on the content/content aspects, 2) the product-based job sheet developed valid on the aspect of the format, and 3) the product-based job sheet developed was valid in the presentation aspect. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the product-based worksheet developed valid for use in Object Oriented Programming subject
Supporting the Parenting Programs in Learning during the Pandemic Period through a Comprehensive Connecting Sheet
This article discusses about the contact sheet in parenting program which is useful for supporting learning during a pandemic. Participants in this article were 17 special school teachers and parents of students. Using the seminar and workshop method, teachers and parents are trained to develop comprehensive contact sheets to support learning during a pandemic. The seminar activities presented two experts, namely special education experts and educational technology. Workshop activities were carried out for five days in a row to assist teachers in which they can be more skilled in compiling comprehensive contact sheets. The result of this training is expected to support the achievement of learning objectives during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as on weekdays later through online and non-online home learning activities
The effect of blended learning model on senior high school students’ achievement
The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of blended learning model on senior high school students’ achievement. This study used experimental research method with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The study was carried out with 63 students attending information and communication technology course, where 31 of whom were in the experimental group and 32 of whom were in the control group. In the experimental group, teacher used blended learning as instructional model, while in the control group, the course was taught based on traditional teaching model. Data collected from the result of learning objective test with 35 questions. The research showed that the learning result of experimental group is higher than the learning result of control group. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the blended learning model contributed more to the students’ achievement
The Effectiveness of Blended Learning as an Instructional Model in Vocational High School
The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of blended learning as an instructional model in vocational high school. The method used was a Quasy Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Students are divided into two groups: an experimental group is a group of students that use blended learning model and control group with conventional learning models. Data were collected by achievement test in the form of an objective matter than do the test requirements analysis in the form of normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results showed that 1) the results of student learning experimental group was higher than the results of student learning control group, 2) improving student learning outcomes in the experimental group was higher than the control group, 3) The completeness of student learning outcomes after using blended learning models reach the set limit. Based on the findings of the study, concluded that the blended learning model is effective to be used as an instructional mode
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
